  1. French version released : Deadfire Balance Polishing Mod at Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) I call it 3.0 and @SenSx and @Zahuaisready are credited for it (as @Ivanfyodorovich for veteran's maneuver by the way)

  2. Im 20 hours into PoE2 and still loving it I appreciate the whole design of finding islands and exploring them, its a good way to motivate exploration especially if you need supplies on a long ship voyage I also decided to implement Level Scaling but only upwards, this was strongly recommended from people on Codex who pointed out combat becomes too easy if you dont do this and the level scaling is only by 4 levels so you wont find a level 10 rat, if the rat is level 2 it will only scale upwards to 6, which is silly and unrealistic Anyway it has made me much more strategic in battles. I was using the AI most of the time for my companions and now Im micromanaging more Im also really enjoying the broader narrative and interacting with the gods and understanding what are Eothas motives, I can see myself having to make huge and difficult decisions later on similar to the end of PoE1 but this time I understand more about the lore and history of the game world so my final decision about who I support should be better informed Im pursuing Romance with Xoti, Im helping her with her soul burden journey and I love her cute Southern accent

  3. Little bit slower today with DSR. Iron Golem and Priscilla has been defeated. The plan was Smough and Ornstein, but I have just decided to pick the easier fight and went for Painted World Today, I made much less stupid moves, so Not lost a single soul

  4. Eld Nary fix reworked. You may use it as a hotfix before next BPM version : cl.chanter.bellower_eld_nary_fix.gamedatabundle Technically funky, now they are 3 modifications upon casting an invocation : - The +PL one working with everything for base 6s - The +PL one working with Eld Nary (normal and upgrade) until next attack (not appears on UI) - A -PL one working with Eld Nary for base 6s that avoid stacking both (not appears on UI) (The Keyword only works positively with Power Level, you can't make a Power Level bonus applied to "everything but Keyword") Ok I'm telling you a bit about my programming adventures, you don't have to read, just wanted to share it this time Side note : a fair number of Chanter abilities (at least Thrice she was Wronged and Seven Nights but NOT Eld Nary) get a +2 Accuracy per PL instead of standard +1 Accuracy. This deserves to be mentionned, at is good for Belllower. I'm not going to change that since this is a typical exception.

  5. I just want Obsidian to know that I prefer Pillars of Eternity 2. World building, lore, setting, immersion, atmosphere, ect. But also dialogue choices, attitudes (aggressive, clever, ect), ect. Only combat is superior in Larian's game. Even exploration is better in Pillars of Eternity, because the game world feels like a world and not a tabletop board. This is just my opinion and I just want Obsidian to know about it. Love you, bye!

  6. What do you think about Community Patch Biting Whip ? 20% Raw damages lash is great, but is it as great as +100% focus generation ? CP biting whip : x1.2 damages x0.6 (x0.5x1.2) focus compared to draining whip Ascendant CP biting whip : x1.2 damages x0.72 (1.5/2.5 x1.2) focus compared to draining whip Now the comparison change in case of underpenetration. The issue is Cipher is one of the class who has the least penetration issues due to hammering thoughts. Currently, I have never been able to justify picking CP Biting over draining whip, even if I think the change was in the right direction. @Boeroer, what is your opinion ? (I know you use CP, so your oponion on this topic is especially valuable) Picking Biting/Draining whip is about as committing as picking a subclass, yet one of the choices still feel subpar (even if in a much less immediate way than in vanilla) Side note along the way : did you know Soulblade focus at start of a given battle depends on the accrued focus (per kills) at the end of the previous battle ? Still means (usually) less starting focus than other subclass, yet fun to know.

  7. Looks like US found a workaround for GOP blocking UA aid https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidaxe/2024/01/30/joe-biden-is-arming-greece-so-greece-can-arm-ukraine-and-pro-russia-republicans-cant-stop-him/

  8. The baby spitting the ship is probably just some sort of metaphor again. Since it's technically the same sequence as in DS1 when you die and get reborn. I'm way more wtf about those tiny puppets, and the stupid guitar weapon. Guess we're going into the direction of Pinocchio maybe? Would also fit with the stranded whales from DS1.

  9. Zelenskyi’s wife has said few times already, that she does not want him to stay in power in a foreseeable future, and it’s the second time that someone spreads “rumours” about Zaluzhnyi being sacked from his position. And that’s like fifths or sixths article by Times, which is heavily biased against Ukraine. Most of them were refuted in few days later as being influenced by Russian propaganda. And the “rumors” starting to spread at the same time as the “rumours” of PoW’s on shot down plane smells a more like another Russian psyops, than not

  10. Thank you. In NG I was able to get him down easily with my damage output, and in NG+ I was already able to cut off his tail with melee as well. That part of tactics until you cut of his tail on the bridge still works, but then, it starts to behave differently and start to fly and spew fire a lot more than in PtD Edition of the game. I will try it out again after I get some more bosses down, but I would prefer classic fight with him. Cheese kill with arrows will be last resort

  13. maybe just a little bit different as peacekeepers remain members o' their original national military or police force even if the UN has operational control. *shrug* the following is not directed @Elerond is always good to wait for info, but the fact the UN ain't denying allegations and they has public condemned the actions o' more than a handful o' staffers should give a few obsidian board champions o' the oppressed pause. and again, we are contemplating the possibility that multiple UN personal were somehow embroiled in a terrorist attack... is a fair bit different than one-off acts o' unforgivable moral turpitude. the defense is that so far less than two dozen un staffers has been fired? serious? if more than a dozen un personnel were having organized sex slave rings servicing un peacekeepers, then maybe we are getting a bit closer to analogous and is pretty terrible regardless. so ask self if the current kerfuffle were genuine analogous but it involved the malfeasance o' uk diplomats, cia agents, catholic priests or some other group you is justifiable suspicious 'bout. would you be defending all the innocent cia agents who the cia did not immediate fire when the story went public? would you be defending the larger organization who fired the folks caught doing something wrong? is ok to admit the situation looks terrible. is ok to admit that given the lack o' un defense o' those staffers accused it is likely those folks did more than make mistakes or blunders. is ok to admit that oct 7 was pretty f'ing terrible and that if multiple unrwa employees were somehow involved... you folks do realize that if you admit the situation looks absolute fubar for the UN, it doesn't mean you need sudden support israel, right? when a similar situation arises and is handful o' bad israelis, US intelligence agents or new england patriots fans, are you gonna rush to defend? is a not zero chance some will recall and remind. HA! Good Fun!

  14. Just a quick recap of Frieren 19, while waiting for episode 20 to show up (hopefully available tomorrow morning, local time)... The test takers for the first class mage exam, got split up into a number of groups of 3 mages each. The goal is to capture an elusive bird within the time limit (a few days, forgot the exact number). The bird is lightning fast, tough as nails, moderately resistant to magic, highly developed magic detection skills (in this universe, magic is a manifestation of "mana", some beings have it, some don't, those who can actively shape it tends to become mages). In short, a bunch of mages trying to catch a bird that is fast and elusive, spotting a mage from a mile away and making a run for it... Frierens group holds a strategy meeting... and in the end, agrees to Frierens plan (she got inspired when one of the young girls mentioned something about being able to manipulate water) The plan? "Poison" every water hold they can find with mana, so the birds will have to come to a water source of Frierens choice... I didn't make screenshots of blood and gore, but it happens too. Monsters prey on the test takers, using their corpses as bait and there are no rules that stipulates test takers can't kill each other, then take the bird from another group that may already have acquired one. Frierens group realizes all of them will be up in arms and come after them when they have cornered the market so speak, leaving only one place to catch the birds. Frieren has learnt a powerful bird binding spell, that should overcome the birds magic resistance. Problem is the spell has a 50cm range Hence why they needed to narrow down the possible locations for the bird to seek water. Frieren puts on the statue act, sitting at the pond shore pretending to be a rock The spell worked At this point, Ferns group has also captured a bird and general infighting breaks out amongst the mages and blood start flowing. Ends somewhat abruptly... and now waiting for episode 20

  15. My wife had like 200 movies on a bunch of USB drives so I got her a small (physically small) external hard drive so she only has to keep track of that. Not that it's much to keep track of as it's just connected to the TV at all times.

  17. The type of person that is likely to take that coin flip is impulsive and reckless enough that they are also very likely to live an unsustainably extravagant lifestyle and wind up in a worse financial situation than before the coin flip within a year or two.
