Ruins of New Londo together with the Four Kings have been defeated. Still not tried to get into Valley of Drakes, as I needed to farm some souls to get Faith from 12 to 25 for the next requirement in my Platinum checklist. Spent around 1 hour killing Royal Giants at Anor Londo for that. As a side effect, I was able to upgrade my Lighting Spear to +5 and unlock my first weapon trophy.2 points

I checked now on Steam and I played Vampyr on the 1 October 2020 so I dont remember much of the game except for having to find people to feed on which was fun and then advancing certain skills over others is advantageous in combat I do remember the final boss fight which involved an incredibly painful and laborious strategy to win, I cant remember exactly what that was but you will find that out yourself2 points

Few days ago, on a TV broadcast by RIA Novosti, Sputnik TV and Russia Today, one of a very poverful figure of Russian Ministry of “Defense” Prilepin, has stated, that the countries, which provide the most work migrants in Russia, should get Annexed. He named as an example Uzbekistan. Shortly afterward, the Uzbekistan president started first steps to derussify the country media space, and powerful Uzbek politicians demanded the arrest of Prilepin. Which Russia of course did not accept. Uzbekistan is thus starting to prepare for another Special Military Operation.2 points

I completed Steve Jackson's Sorcery and I really enjoyed the nostalgic experience as the book series was my favorite Fighting Fantasy series of all time. The developers understandably changed several things for the PC experience but many aspects of the game were traditional and appreciated I then decided to play NWN2 again, Im loving it. I loaded some recommended mods and the journey is great so far, I love my companions and the party interactions....hilarious exchanges Early days, 20 hours in so further updates to follow2 points

I downloaded the game recently and even though the menu / hud / cutscenes are completely fine whenever I try to play the actual game I get blinded by this yellow light, I've tried restarting, I've tried making a new save, I've tried to change my graphical settings including turning off auto HDR but I am still stuck with this issue1 point

As sad as it is, this statement is accurate, if we're defining "BioWare Game" as a proper RPG. It's not BioWare's last great game, I would argue that's Mass Effect 2, which came out just 1 year later IIRC. However, as much as I love ME2, and I do, it's soooooo much less a RPG and soooooo much more an action/adventure game than DA:O, or ME1, for that matter. ME2 is where, and again, I want to stress how much I like ME2, it might be BioWare's best ever game. Right now there are people with BG2-shaped pitchforks and BG1-shaped torches marching toward my home. I don't care, ME2 is ****ing awesome. Anyway, back on track, ME2 is where BioWare stopped making RPGs and fully switched over to making RPG-Lite action/adventure games, much like Zelda. Nothing wrong with that, BTW, that style of game can be fantastic, like, well, Zelda, but it's not truly a RPG. [random tangent]Zelda is RPG for Dummies, and I mean that in the absolute best way imaginable. Zelda takes much of the stuff RPGs do and dumbs them down just enough so that they become completely intuitive. The design is absolutely brilliant, this Miyamoto guy might have a future in the business. You put someone who has never played a RPG in their life in front of a character sheet and you either have some explaining to do or they have some reading to do before y'all can begin. Anybody can just pick up a NES controller and start playing the game without so much as looking at the cover of the instruction manual. Anyone can understand I have more hearts means I can take more damage and this sword is better because now the monsters die in less attacks and I need a key to open a door. You go to a dungeon, you find something in said dungeon, and at the end you fight a boss. Lather, rinse repeat. That's basically what you do when you play RPGs, dumbed down, sure, but what you gain is that it's plug and play to pretty much anyone.[/random tangent]1 point

Of course, the status effect is a named effect, the effect is extended as intended even if upgraded or downgraded. In the Character windows, they appear as Energized at the Blood Storm effect for example1 point

Oh yeah. And it is for the first time, when I am upgrading my armour as well. And I get killed much less with midroll than when I have used the “ninja ring”, even though I get hit much more often. I have also enough material to upgrade Ornstein’s Spear to the max, but it will have to wait some time before I get high enough stats, that it would make the difference compared to maxed out Lightning Spear.1 point

I did enjoy the game, its definitely worth playing. It scored a 70/100 on the " BruceVC game rating system " But I do remember the final battle being very frustrating, @Hawke64 may have a different opinion on that battle. I did some research afterwards and there certain abilities you can take that make it less exasperating1 point

OMG, that was it. Thank you and Merry Christmas!1 point

I like building her as the "Venomous Vailian," Spine of Thicket Green (Empowering Instinct upgrade) + Helm of Grotto Deep + Spider Silk Robe (Poison Master upgrade). Then choose all of the Beast, Plant, Poison, and Conjuration damage spells. A few have multiple keywords, stacking tons of +PL. For Poison immune enemies, you usually still have a few damage spells that work, but I also like stacking Arcana (she gets +2 from her background, which is unique) and using scrolls. I recommend using the community patch mod and the balance polishing mod, which make the key wording for poison much clearer (it's hidden on a few spells in Vanilla). Incidentally, if you do use the Balance Polishing Mod, your Wildstrike Corrode will buff your PL on several spells even more. Very cool. Also, pairs very, very well with the Howler Konstanten that Boeroer posted, because most of these spells target Fortitude. I like pairing them together, b/c they have some unique dialogue/relationship stuff you can do. Cheers!1 point

Vampyr. Due to the spoiler nature of the boss of Chapter 3, I shall refer to them as Vampire Boss #3. So, the battle started easily enough, with the boss hitting slowly and me counter-attacking. Occasionally, the boss was throwing up blood and spawning 3 delayed AoE areas, centred on the MC, while still attacking. At 70% HP, the boss ate the human who was sitting in the middle of the arena and regained their full health. The AoE attack pattern and length kept changing during the battle, ending with covering most of the arena in uneven patches, while the boss' normal attack speed increasing. Somehow, putting XP into the biting damage helped. On another note, the area design has become irritating - too many corridors, too inconsistent rules for movement. Why can I teleport only to some ledges from some angles, but not the others that look the same? Why can't I interact with gates in combat? On a funny note, the aggro resets when the MC enters a non-combat area, i.e. the foes just turn around and return to their previous positions.1 point

Heh, I have performed probably the lamest Smough and Ornstein kill ever First, I have summoned Solaire. Then I have started to attack Smough. He went down really fast, as Solaire was tanking Ornstein (he almost killed him first ) After entering the second phase, Ornstein finished off Solaire, while I was trying to slowly hit him. The damage was very low, so I was running around more than hitting him . And because I fought him with melee weapon for the first time ever, I had no clue how this fight works . So after a minute or two, I got down from 9 Estus to last one with him still being over 90% HP, then, while I was trying to hide behind a broken pillar, he got stuck casting lightning spells behind another one . So I have finished him with my INT 15 Soul Arrow (weakest spell in game, which I am using only for pulling enemies ) As much as this kill was lame, it was still on first try and the worst feared enemy in the game is done for. After that, I have defeated Pinwheel as well, and now I am slowly starting to prepare for the Ruins of New Anor Londo and Valley of Drakes. My two most hated areas in DS1.1 point

Remember that 3 SU-34 shot down over Kerson Region? It seems like, two more jets have been shot down since then, and one of them deep inside occupied air space ove Mariupol. And with Netherlands and Denmark promising first F-16 deliveries before the end of the year, the big rumours are starting to emerge at various sources (including pro-russian Rybar) that they are already at Ukrainian hands, and these five jets, are first victims of them. Shortly after these “incidents” happened, Russia started to talk again, that they are ready for cease fire talks. OFC, only if they can keep all of the occupied territories. Which fuels the speculations even more1 point

We did something different this year for Christmas lunch,we went to a really good restaurant called Simons at a Wine Estate called Groot Constantia, red wine was amazing. I had at least a whole bottle to myself https://simons.co.za/gallery/ It was an excellent Christmas buffet and one of my brothers has a daughter called Amelia who is 1 year old and she is as cute as a button with chubby cheeks But my sister bought me one of the funniest presents and completely appropriate ...a NK joke gift, she knows me well1 point

we got a rotation o' ten or so christmas movies including the following: lion in winter, kiss kiss, bang bang, godfather, french connection, nightmare before christmas, rocky, white christmas, the hudsucker proxy, stalag 17, and the recent added green knight. nightmare before christmas and stalag 17 is guaranteed, but the others movies change. this year, christmas food is whatever we got in the fridge. am kinda convalescing at the moment. our neighbors mean well, but they are not good cooks. recent had the driest banana bread evar and am not gonna try and figure out what went into some beef stew we received. the christmas cookies has been a travesty. on the upside, one o' our neighbors who doesn't cook bought and prepared one o' those enormous stouffer's lasagnas, so we got christmas food for days. HA! Good Fun!1 point

Might have been me but I can't remember... I just use some scripted weapon switches which is particularly effective if you're running a fighter / x with quick switch. Even more with a black jacket, where with quick switch you have zero delay. Slayer's Claw is the reason I always do path of the slayer even though it has some of the hardest fights for soloing. Also only path that doesn't force a rest. It's unfortunate you can't access SSS content until fairly late, though it's possible to leave most of the hard fights for after you get it and become an interrupt-machine.1 point

I only play single player and my saved games just will not load at all. I have tried multiplayer when it was released but i can never find a room. I always get no rooms available or no one is online. This lead me to believe that no one plays online I guess but that's far from the truth because I've seen countless videos and forums like this where people do in fact play online in great numbers. Anyway, I've had the not loading games problem for nearly a year now and can't seem to find a solution anywhere. All I get is a multitude of these generic suggestions on how to resolve it. I play on PC through Steam by the way. Also signing into the Xbox network hasn't been working for several months now and have yet to find any kind of solution for that either. Not sure what is going on with Obsidian and this game but I have never seen sooooo many issues in a game ever. I purchased the game when it first dropped to during early release and have yet to have an experience with it where a problem isn't present in the past 2 years plus.1 point

Yup, "Final Maneuverer" being in the quest log is what is causing all 3 of these NPCs to disappear. Essentially the NPCs have a flag that deactivate them upon entering Serpent's Crown with quest in your journal (this is done to prevent them being killed during the quest proper). While it's not possible to remove or modify this flag, I've put together a script that will at least reactivate them. You can download the zip attached that contains this script. This just needs to be unzipped and the "Unhide SC NPCs" folder placed into the "override" folder. deadfire_missing_npcs_fix.zip The "override" folder can be found inside the "PillarsOfEternityII_Data" directory located somewhere like: Steam: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pillars of Eternity II Deadfire\PillarsOfEternityII_Data\" GoG: "C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Games\Pillars of Eternity II Deadfire\PillarsOfEternityII_Data\" or create it by opening a new Notepad file, and copy & paste the following into it: Save it as: "reactivate_npcs.gamedatabundle" (make sure there is no ".txt" at the end of the file when you save it) and put it inside of a new folder within the "Override" folder. Alternatively you can reactivate these NPCs using console commands. Though it should be noted that this route requires activating cheats, which prevents unlocking achievements! Instructions for using the console are inside the spoiler box: Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this thread!1 point
