  1. Started The Outer Worlds Halcyon DLC. The antivirus quarantined one of the files, so spent some time trying to figure out why the game was not launching. Spent an hour talking to people (and checking their pockets for access cards). The game looks gorgeous (might have something to do with running at 60 FPS), from style to animations, and the dialogue options are varied. I also greatly appreciate the static skill checks.

  2. I just found it on the Steam forum. The game has formations. They just hid them very well. As in, most idiotic place to put something award 2023 goes to Owlcat. Go to Settings (hit Escape). Fourth option, under Save Game, Load Game, Cooperative Mode, and above Options, is Formation.

  4. The game is missing some odd things. Why can't I see my crit chance and some other stats and why can't I set my party formation? Why can't I search abilities during level up or items? I mean we have all these things in the PF games, seems odd to not include it.

  6. Sling Blade (1996). Recommended to me by someone, I didn't read anything about it before starting: I heard Billy Bob Thornton do his ridiculous voice and I was like "oh gosh, I'm not going to be able to do this". Completely wrong, it was a wonderful little movie. Utterly predictable in broad strokes (I knew what the ending was going to be within like 15 minutes), but it's the kind of film where that's totally okay and in fact probably preferred over doing something unexpected and unfitting. It also helps when you have a child actor play a main character and do really great, especially for a film like this.

  9. Storage space: Size on Disk: 35.5 GB (38,183,088,128 bytes) I didn't play enough Pathfinder to experience the overheating. On my old PC it plays mostly fine, as long as I don't do too much on my second screen at the same time. When I was unzipping large files, the electropriest temple really slowed down to a crawl.

  11. That may have been one of the Russia's goals in beginning. First market Finland as easy port to EU and offer short term visas to Russia in masses to anyone that ask without any actual processing. Second take immigrants moneys and bring them to Russia. Third guide immigrants to cause political issues in Finland and cause Finland current right wing anti immigration government to do predictable closing of the border that Russia also can use in their propaganda to Russians to tell how Finland is russophobic Fourth force immigrants to join Russian foreign legion by threating to charge them of breaking their visas. And blame Finland for leaving those poor immigrants to starve.

  13. Let's be real here, a lot of the people puling about anti semitism at Yale or wherever would be shouting equally enthusiastically about freedom of expression if (and indeed when) it were (was), say, Chinese students being 'targeted' by pro Uighur or Tibetan protests. Banning their organisations and pandering to the feefees of the poor oppressed Chinese who don't want to hear about the genocide their government is perpetrating? An affront to the 1st amendment and just another example of the Cultural Marxism pervading academia. Not banning (some, plenty have been) pro Palestinian student organisations and not banning protests on their behalf? Strangely, also Cultural Marxism and not an affront to the 1st amendment. Exactly the same way 'from the river to the sea' is genocidal when it comes from a Palestinian, but not when it's Likud saying it. It's not a moral stance, it's a political one, and political stances should not be part of a university's brief. Palestinians probably aren't that keen on and feel a bit harassed and oppressed by the US Congress supplying most of the weapons that have killed 6000 of their children, after all, nor for all the pro Israeli demonstrations celebrating it either openly or tacitly, nor for the US recognising the annexations of East Jerusalem and the Golan, nor for the UNSC ceasefire veto. Indeed, kind of funny seeing the US talking up the PA taking over in Gaza as it's exactly the worst approach for the PA if you want it to be credible. They're already seen as Quislings by most of their constituents, if the US thinks its support is going to help them the delusion is off the scale.
