  1. Yesterday
  2. Happened to me too. I was 10 hours in with 2 super chips and Tier II gear; I saved and quit so I could update my system, and now every time I try to continue from any of my old saves it spawns me back at the starting area with just a Pebblet axe, an empty inventory, and the superchips uncollected. My base it still there though. I am playing on single player with crossplay disabled, on the latest version of the Switch port. Is there any fix or workaround that we know of?
  3. I am amused by the Russian turtle tank and its adventures.
  4. Both stories could easily be true: there are muddy conditions, and the Abrams is a very heavy tank, plus the 47th was off the line until it got firebrigaded back into the Avdiivka front a couple of days ago. So it was an ideal time to upgrade their Abrams with what had been learnt from previous losses and current state of the art countermeasures*, and the Abrams is a notoriously hard tank to maintain. Then with the problems Ukraine is having around Avdiivka they had to be rushed back. Information based on 'anonymous insider' sourcing is of course fundamentally suspect, but in this case it was at least consistent with other factors. And to be fair to AP, while the 47th is back on the line there's no (caveat: that I am aware of) recent footage of them using their Abrams whereas there was a fair bit in their previous stint in and around Berdychi. *M1A1 Abrams 'Testudo' incoming? Would certainly be a laugh.
  5. Fallout 4 Sometimes, the visual style looks very nice. Should not have kept clicking on the skill check. Thought it was a bugged out bush. A Short Hike The game is beautiful. I think, I got on Itch.io a couple of years back?
  6. Stray Blade. Finished about 2 weeks ago, but have not (possibly, will not) written a review. The action-adventure was not especially horrible, but it was not exactly good. I liked the general plot (the twist was more funny than tragic), the main characters, the character customisation options (the MC always wore a full suit of armour and a closed helmet), the rebindable controls, and the 2D cut-scenes/art. On the other hand, the combat was generally irritating, there were relatively few bosses (7, with the beast generals being rather underwhelming), the exploration was not exactly engaging (most weapon blueprints were dropping from any human enemy based on the MC's level), the number of save slots was limited to 1 (granted, the story was linear and the last save was before the point of no-return), the graphics did not align with the system requirements and performance (I had severe FPS drops in some areas). Fallout 4. I continued my 8 year-old save file. The side effect is that I have a very vague recollection of what is in my inventory or who the child at the main settlement is. The inventory management in general is rather painful - there are a lot of items, but the sorting options are very limited and have to be cycled through (I am also only guessing the abbreviations). With the Full Dialogue mod I at least know what the PC would say, so that's very nice. The number of the dialogue options being limited to 4 is less nice. The combat is rather horrible. On the other hand, making engaging first-person combat is challenging. So, I have reached the Far Harbor town in search of Kasumi, whom her parents asked to bring home or to confirm that she had left on her own. The first battle at the town's gates took me several attempts to get through. Afterwards, the locals asked me to kills some random ghouls and mantis-like creature and find some tools to reinforce the gates. One of the locals offered to guide to the town where Kasumi supposedly had gone. On the way to the mantis-like creature, I found a Vault and something I initially thought to be a weird bush. It was a Legendary irradiated yao guai.
  7. Ukrainian Command says that the news about removal of Abrams from frontlines is not based on true information. https://www.pravda.com.ua/eng/news/2024/04/27/7453276/
  8. Party is boring for me, a part first time characters quest. I've more fun micro manage one character, respecing, change tatctis and trying different items/equip. With a party micro is frustrating, with no micro either your allied do the same things or you have to manage a very poor AI. In a party you have no "space" for experimenting strategy, instead solo almost enemy encounter you have to find a way to win.
  9. I'm having this same issue. None of my crossplay friends actually appear on my list. Bought the game on switch for my wife and ps5 for myself. Highly regretting it because we still can't play together.
  10. First of all, in a party a Druid can be more fun than a Monk because he can meke more roles (CC, DD, Healer), but other considerations about why choose monk remain. Druids are less powerful in PoE2 for many reasons: as Boeroer said, wildstrike abilities/talents in Poe1 are far more effective than in Poe2; as a consequence of first point, and for other little aspects (i.e. element talents/abilities like Scion of Flame which work in Poe1 for wildstrike don't work in Poe2), spiritshift is weaker in poe2; elemental talents/abilities (Scion of Flame, Hearth of the Storm) is more useful in Poe1 for boosting spell damage and Druids have many elemental damage spells (above all shock and burn). +1 PEN in poe2 is weaker as effect; best druid spell in poe1 (Relentless Storm) is less good in poe2, stun are better contrasted in the second game, while in the first maybe is the best spell considering also any other caster class; in poe1 all pg are single class and they are not perfectly balanced but you can compensate easily (with scrolls and items in particularly) but not in poe2: druids miss most of all confusion, paralysis and charming/dominating scrolls/items not present in poe2; they have bad tier 6, 7, 8 and 9 spells, only exceptions are Great Maelstrom and Avenging Storm (but this one is maybe better in poe1). So single class is near a non-sense powerful-wise for a druid, they can skip tier 8 and 9 for a multiclass optrion. In poe1 all are single class, so this is not a problem and spiritshift last levels balances out for weak spells (not as in poe2); many spells work better in Poe1: Taste of the Hunt, Form of the Delemgan, Rot Skulls and many are more case of use (Charme/Hold Beasts); subclass doesn't add much to class, indeed, maybe disadvantages are worst than how are the benefits; SOLO maybe fury or shifter can go but power-wise maybe better stick on Animist, in a group Lifegiver as a sense but also here: perhaps more loss than benefit... (to be true Shifter can be a good choice). In poe1 plain-old-single-class Druid can do almost all roles very good without problems/detriments/thoughts etc... Spell system: learning all spells without spending ability points is a very great thing; a part Lord Darryn's Voulge (but it can't go over superb level) better soulbound items in poe1 for druids better passives/abilities and many more to choose in poe1. There are only one exception: Watershaper. If you manage to play Tekehu or a mod for playing such a subclass, it is very powerful with many great spells foe-only Or maybe there are some things in poe2 for druids better of poe1: great maelstrom at level 9, touch of rot at level 1 (deleted in poe1, who knows why...) and empower spells works good with poe2 druids.
  11. would never go back to fallout 3 fnv at least have good atmosphere and casino
  12. Should NEVER have to start a new game that you CANT EVEN LOAD just because you played the game
  13. I realized I've procastenated finishing my sorcerer run for months. The class isn't boring, quite the opposite in fact, but my problem is that combat becomes really uninteractive and repetitive. It's always queueing up a few buffs from Xoti, then blindly throw whatever spells I have and it's over. It's one of the few runs that I almost never needed support from the paladin. Not the case with Deadfire, "having to do something" is also unfun imo. Like in Pathfinder WotR it's either stacking buffs then breeze through with melee, or use exploits, or suffer.
  14. Alright, well, i'm tired of waiting for this patch, so i decided to just start the game and opted for this: 20 6 15 15 15 7 Former mercenary and captain of his own squad, my guy (whom i named Rasczak, heh), known for his cunning as a strategist, fighting prowess and brutality in battle, has been worn down over countless wars. Tired of partaking in so much bloodshed (hence the lowish resolve), and left severly wounded in his last campaign (hence the low constitution), but unable to change what he is at a fundamental level (a merciless killer), he has abandoned his former life to walk the path of the Bleak Walker, his only purpose in life that of bringing an end to bloodshed, by any means necessary, joining causes and taking up contracts with the sole aim of ending matters that could spiral in open and prolonoged hostilities swiftly and as decidely as possible, while keeping as much distance from his former life as possible. This guy will focus fully on lore btw so i can make use of the high dexterity in more than one way, to make up for the paladin's weakness with his autoattacks by supplementing them with casting scrolls when needed (and since he is in the frontlines he will likely want to cast them quickly). The low health should trigger fighting spirit often, and the fact i can just stick to dual wielding for my FoD attacks i don't have to bother with a ranged weapons leaving the second slot free to have a shield at the ready in case i need to off-tank on a pinch. Having so many speed bonuses will also allow me to wear the heaviest armor possible, which can also make up for the low constitution. Later on i may end up respecing, taking some points out of perception if items can supply enough accuracy and bump intellect to max if i see i need it for Sacred Immolation and perhaps bump constitution as well a bit if it's truly possible to get one shot in PoTD with lower than base constutition, or if Sacred Immolation just eats me up until i die every other fight.
  15. This is the second time I've had Grounded installed and the second time that I cannot load my own save after logging off. Im using gamepass on PC and when I go to load a game, Grounded simply crashes. Im logged in, theres no error code, my PC is MORE than capable of running the game just fine on high settings at a minimum so what gives? WHY ON EARTH, are we making games that are made to crash and cost people hours of progress? Theres not even a discussion about this online yet and I know i cant be the only one. Im not even 8 hours in and just cant seem to get my save to even pop up, game crashes before it even tries to load just because I CLICKED continue. same issue i had in the last update too, totally unacceptable that this is STILL a problem.
  16. Haha. And I'm one of those wishlisters entirely because of what you shared about the game. But because of my "no purchase of an early access game" rule, I'll wait to see how things develop with this game.
  17. The funny thing is, the developer sent out a newsletter email yesterday advertising the mod.
  18. Terror from the Void, a total conversion mod for Phoenix Point reached 1.0. I meant to check it out for a long time - Phoenix Point was a game with a fantastic pitch, and some good ideas in the finished product, that seemed to lack polish to really deliver. I am somehow doubtful if a mod can fix game's issues, but there are some smart and insightful folks behind it. I am curious if they managed to achieve their vision. Will have to make some time for it in a near future. https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/839770/view/4176601697647254493
  19. I don't know if they fixed something or it's just coincidence, but it felt better tonight when I was on. Still a bit of very brief "lag/pause" at times but nothing terrible or rage inducing.
  20. Manor Lords: played an hour and a half or so. I like it enough I won't refund it. Probably play it for a while then shelve it for a year to see what happens etc. Anyway...in its current initial early-access form: ---the early pace of the city-build aspect is verrrrry slow. It seems that it's one house/family=one building/job. At least at the start? So you build house plots and wait, and wait, for new families arrive. All city builders do this to some extent but Manor Lords feels extra slow. Plus building times are extra long. I do like the methods for laying out house plots and buildings/roads ---there are work oxen (you start with 1) which basically are needed for many buildings to function. They can die. I recommend buying at least a 2nd with initial small start funds immediately. Because having zero ox with zero funds would be bad. ---the 1st person viewpoint is very nice for tourism. Although the visible avatar is always this red robed dude (not even a matching generic female version yet). ---Game performance is fine/great for me. ---haven't really looked at the progression/skill tree yet. There's an influence upgrade/points system and I'm not sure how hard it'll be to get it up quickly without any combat/bandits.
  21. I have utterly no clue what I'm doing, but apparently it'll still look kinda pretty. Also, this is just the loading screen, but I rather liked it.
  22. To provide more context (because I did not understand the original post): https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/after-promising-free-dlc-forever-to-some-players-escape-from-tarkov-locks-a-new-pve-mode-behind-250-edition Not Star Citizen, but getting there.
  23. Yesterday, a Finnair flight had to return to Helsinki because it couldn't land in Tartu because of some serious GPS jamming. Russia has been doing this near its borders for quite a while now.
  24. NASA's Advanced Solar Sail Has Successfully Deployed in Space
