  2. I also think berserker/beckoner is better than tactcian/other chanter subclass. I guess berserker can kill skellies quicker than tactcian and you can achieve confusion status more easily. As Boeroer said, grave calling can kill also your CPU, you can check this with any class in "Gul Trouble Endurance Trial" of SSS
  3. I like to read posts like this because it confirms what I was hoping and expecting for Starfield The game had its predicated but still disappointing bad launch but now official updates and mods will change that initial bad experience and Starfield will start becoming a much better game I wont touch it for another 24 months
  4. Wormie !!! No need for racism, this is a forum of tolerance and acceptance But there is a legitimate debate around playing the vanilla game first to understand " what was intended " and I agree with that sentiment But that typically doesn't apply to Bethesda games for several reasons or rather why I mod there games to change . And this includes the following HD textures and graphic mods dont change the narrative or mechanics except for improving on something that didnt exist at the time of development. So they become " must have mods " in the interests of enhancing the visual experience A game like Oblivion had some incredibly bad designs like level scaling, the idea that a rat can challenge you when you level 20 makes no sense and there should always be monsters that can defeat you on early levels like in Gothic games. So loading mods that change this is about the immersive experience and that for me is very important I dont load mods that change the fundamental narrative and all my mods are lore friendly And of course loading chainmail bikini mods is all about gender equality. I am a feminist and I always support a liberated and confident women and we must never tell any women what they can or cant wear. Even @HoonDingwill agree on this But in summary the mods I use improve bad designs and development shortfalls but they dont really change the vanilla experience because the vanilla experience isnt suppose to be a bad or a lazy design Of course there are exceptions to this, when I play Skyrim for the first time I am going to play Requiem but thats more the exception because thats a major overhaul mod but its the type of game I want to experience from the beginning
  5. Yes but the Council of Europe, European Commission, the European Council are just 3 examples of the 78 who signed it Its easier to understand when you see the list and its definitely not mostly EU countries. There are African and South American and Asian countries "Albania, Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Benin, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cabo Verde, Canada, Chile, Comoros, Costa Rica, Côte d’Ivoire, Council of Europe, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Estonia, European Commission, European Council, European Parliament, Fiji, Finland, France, Gambia, Georgia, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Guatemala, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Kosovo, Latvia, Liberia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, New Zealand, North Macedonia, Norway, Palau, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Republic of Korea, Romania, Rwanda, San Marino, Sao Tomé and Principe, Serbia, Singapore, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Somalia, Spain, Suriname, Sweden, Switzerland, Timor Leste, Türkiye, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay" But I do find it interesting how Russia's EU " allies " that include Slovakia, Hungary and Serbia signed it I would have assumed they wouldnt have signed it?

  7. Taffers gonna need some taffin'! I mean, there's references all over the place to everything 0451 anyway. But Chapter 4 in Fallen Aces is basically ripped straight outta Thief. It's not even subtle about it. It hits ya like a, wait for it, blackjack! Then again, WHY THE HELLZ NOT? It's nothing to be ashamed of. It's Thief, not Thi4f. I don't want this to end. But at five Episode 1 levels so far, it's gonna. Even if you're playing this like me rather than if you'd be heading headfirst into M1E1 of your last favourite Boomer Brawler: sneaking around, exploring every airduct and cranny, eavesdropping on all the dialogue, reading all the documents, listening to the radio programme apparently updating alongside to the storyline (and your pursuits) -- and still missing out on some secrets for some reason. I want this poster. Plus the soundtrack on Vinyl.
  8. The Swiss list includes the Council of Europe, European Commission, the European Council* and the European Parliament. Technically of course that's only the EU three times over, plus each individual country, but it's lol time anyway since the Swiss claimed they were- direct quote- "countries" who supported the communiqué. Of course population wise the combined 70 are dwarfed by those who turned up but didn't sign, let alone those who didn't turn up at all. They couldn't even get the Vatican to sign it. *yes, there is a Council of Europe (this is the one not quite the same as the EU, eg it has Norway, UK and others) and European Council for anyone wondering.
  9. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/world/80-countries-at-swiss-summit-agree-ukraines-territorial-integrity-required-for-peace Not really, the EU consists of 27 countries and 100 countries attended. And 78 countries signed it So the outcome definitely wasnt just an " expected " EU response. And its based on the UN view around respect for territorial integrity and sovereignty That hasnt changed and never will, you cant just invade a country and create your borders and the support for this document is more or less the same as how UN votes go around the war where Russia gets very little support but countries abstain But it wont stop the war, Putins committed to his warmongering and the invasion. Its more symbolic
  10. I'm playing some more user modules for Solasta, which are a bit hit and miss in terms of quality. Currently I'm running through the "Depths of Darkness" module, which is a re-creation of the old "The Sunless CItadel" PnP module for DnD. It's a pretty decent effort compared to many of these user creations, so I'd recommend it if you like Solasta. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2860765207
  11. The core gameplay loop of Stardew Valley's first year is just about perfect for me. There's always something to do, and often slightly too much to do per day. Then it rains, and you spend the day catching fish or 'clearing' mine levels instead. There's always something that needs upgrading and you feel like you're making progress every few days. The trouble is by the 2nd year it starts to feel like make-work instead, or becomes trivial because you've automated everything, and you've done most of the tasks in the community centre. I've never even made it to Ginger Island or whatever it's called, I always stall out sometime in spring year 2. Still one of my favourites though since getting to that point is, well, great.
  12. I've played about a handful of hours of Stardew Valley and my impression of the game turned into "this is going to be impossible for me to enjoy because of how quickly days are over combined with how much crap you have to do that they've stuffed into this game...unless I just start cheating". I was really only scratching the surface with how little I played, too. The reason I didn't start cheating and instead quit was because I was not confident that I was actually enjoying any of the game's writing, content, or gameplay. None of the characters did anything besides annoy me, I don't really enjoy any element of farming or "designing" a home/base, and while there certainly seemed to be mysteries abounding, I kind of just found the gameplay loop to be too dull and repetitive for that to compel me forward any. I see people sink hundreds of hours into Stardew Valley and I wonder what I'm not getting, but I suppose that's just how it goes.

  14. Bought a Narwhal in Starfield, my first class C ship. It is pretty fancy. I don't love the 3 deck setup, but it has a ton of reactor power. Now I need to level up my command skill so I can have a full crew. Oh and my wife Sarah died. So sad. I guess I'll just cry on Andreja's shoulder for a bit. Also Mickey Caviar is my favorite NPC.
  15. ZA-UM continues to be a mess, with Disco Elysium spinoff canceled, and more people fired. I don't think ZA-UM owners are helping their case, at least as far as publc perception is concerned. Have no clue how their legal battle with Disco Elysium creative leads progresses. https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/game-development/for-a-while-it-seemed-like-miracles-were-possible-and-with-them-redemption-a-follow-up-to-the-legendary-disco-elysium-might-have-been-ready-to-play-within-the-next-yearzaums-devs-loved-it-management-canceled-it-and-laid-off-the-team/
  16. I'll be blocking this update until or unless these issues introduced by the new update are fixed. Several people mentioned bugs before the patch went live yet none of them were addressed nor their comments even acknowledged - and new issues were introduced. Even the community fixes made over the last 6 1/2 years (3.07 was released in 12/2017) are broken by this update. Can you at least let us know whether there will be continued support to fix this mess? To be clear, I'm not talking about any particular bugs that people wanted fixed - I'm referring to things you broke in this update that weren't broken in 3.07.
  17. Indeed. I sometimes use the class combination (Berserker/Beckoner) with very high INT and Amra (and a backup Morning Star to cover all types of physical dmg) instead of Grave Calling. Just because using Grave Calling makes the game stutter and sometimes even crash - bc. of too many stacked VFX effects.
  18. I particularly like how the list of "countries" supporting the proposal includes the EU, 4 times. Probably the only theoretically Russia leaning country to turn up that supported it was Serbia, the others (Brazil, KSA, India etc) did not. Almost exactly as expected in every respect really, though Ukraine's energy infrastructure must be in a real mess if item #1 is them getting the ZNPP back.
  19. Reading this thread I just realised something: I only really like one Obsidian game, Fallout: New Vegas. I do like it a lot though. I've played a few others but only South Park: Stick of Truth and Outer Worlds held my interest for very long, and none of them are memorable. Alpha Protocol was a fantastic idea, but the jank killed it for me. I have no idea why I'm here. Maybe I'm still waiting for another one-hit-wonder from them. Maybe nostalgia. Who knows.
  20. Unfortunately you're not wrong, The Boys very much stopped being satire and just being depiction (with superheroes) a while ago. Perhaps the most unrealistic thing is that the feds are trying to put a stop to supe nonsense...though that can largely be explained as business interests from the existing military industrial complex (as it was in the comics). But it is a good show and so far is holding up. I think it is how adaptations should be done, in the sense that the material is adapted both for the format and to update references, because hot damn does the Vought Cinematic Universe as the big superhero thing made by Vought hit closer to home than Vought comic books would.
  21. I'm the same. I see people install mods like, "make you run 300 times faster and fire a thousand Fat Man's at the same time!!1!".. like.. what's the point? Sure, if someone has made a "high res textures" mod I might install it. But even those are usually "we updated 80% of the textures in the game" and then you get into the game and the same house has two different styles of textures on it, completely ruining the art direction.
  22. It’s definitely an interesting time in tech. I’ve been studying JavaScript for the past couple of years in my free time hoping to switch into web or software development. The rise of AI tools have been both a blessing and a curse. I don’t have any friends or contacts who actually work as programmers but a lot of the YouTube channels have been buzzing for at least six months now about how programmers are coding themselves out of a job, it’s too late for new developers to get into the industry because they’re about to replaced with AI ect. I don’t know how true that is but right now certainly I and a lot of other people are finding it hard to get work coding. Hopefully a lot of that is just fearmongering and people trying to write catchy headline for views though. There are plenty of other YouTubers, articles, LinkedIn posts ect saying that the job market will recover and that AI is just a tool that will help and change the way developers work, but that developer roles will likely evolve in the coming years. Regardless I think a lot of the stuff we’re seeing is really cool and it’s getting quite impressive what even common AI tools like ChatGPT can do. Career prospects aside ChatGPT has been a huge help to me when coding for all kinds of things like help with designing how a website might look, image generation, copywriting, advice on libraries ect. It’s not at the point right now where you can just tell it to code an entire website and it’ll be able to do that but it can definitely assist with coding so long as you know your coding language well enough to be able to modify and fix any problems.
  23. I think we already talked about it, but when I play the game for the first time, I always play vanilla - maybe outside unofficial patches if the game benefits of it. To me devs have same authorship over their work, as writers or film makers, so in general I am not interested in mods, and prefer to consume media “as it was intended”. Not that you are wrong. I do think Bethesda games are more of a platform than a game, and therefore I have no interest in what they sell.
  24. You're missing out, it's delicious. It has it's own flavour, it's not like chicken or anything.
