This is all good. In five years they go bust and all their IPs end up at auction. No guarantee that everyone who acquires the IP will do something with it, but the odds are there. -

"The investment is done with a 20B loan which they intent to recoup with cutting costs by using AI to replace visual and voice artists." Amazing. Never buy anything EA ever again. -

Because, from what I understand, they will go from public to private ownership, which might ease up pressure on development teams to release unfinished risk-averse slop. And based how Saudi investment into SNK helped them out to release better fighting games, there is a possibility, this might positively affect EA as well. Or I might just expect to many miracles happen in this ****ty greed driven universe -

My rogue in D4 is maximum ADHD, with the unique helm that gives me 20% movement and uses health to sustain Flurry, Flurry modification to warp to nearest enemy and with a lot of lucky hit that grants energy, I just ping around the screen causing Chaos flashy orbs and a shockwave that comes from some ability I don't know. But at least I'm on T3 now. Chaos armour kind of sucks, though.

Why would they under the new ownership ? -
I noticed something interesting to me...we flew back from Mexico last weekend and this time O'Hare customs didnt even ask to see my wife and I passport! It turns out the process for US citizens has changed from a human being physically checking your passport and comparing it to you standing there, to completely biometric facial scanning. It was awesome and reduced what is normally around a 1.5 hour process to mere minutes! I was pretty impressed that it took the software less than one second to recognize me and put a little green check mark next to my picture.

We just watched it too. While there were scenes that we enjoyed, overall it was kind of middling -

Haven't tried Museum yet, but Hospital and Campus were good but somewhat limited games. By that I mean the core gameplay loop was solid, and the aesthetic and humour are well done for anyone looking for something like the old Bullfrog games. Definitely no regrets in buying the base games. However the limits become apparent once you consider the expansion model, where each new thing added isn't ever going to be truly "new". Any new disease they add in Hospital for example is functionally the same as any other disease, just with new graphics on the patients, and a matching new "new disease curing room" to go with it. Hopefully the reports on it improving on is predecessors is true. I get mentally tired already just thinking of the arbitrary "increase room value" goals from both Hospital and Campus, where the supposed challenge of the later levels just involves spamming decorative items inside each room. -

I liked that Superman was weird. The new one really embraced the bizarre, and I thought that was the right choice after the seriousness of the Zach Snyder stuff. Peacemaker is also goofy and weird and I'm enjoying that too. -
I like games with newspapers. Though I believe they could have done it a bit better. Cute little detail Crafting The Pulp Fiction moment When the quest giver tells you to find out yourself how to do the quest.

I found this SM commentary on this topic and I recommend everyone watches it. The young lady is sharing her opinion and it may resonate with people Besides she is clearly staying.....abreast of this development @majestic @Zoraptor @Malcador @Lexx@uuuhhii@Pidesco

For me it's more like... I probably liked it more when everything felt more "down to earth" - the more other super heroes they slap into a movie, the more weird and disconnected it feels to me. Jeez, they destroyed almost the whole town (again) in the movie. Then I look outside the window here and see that we have a road under construction for 10 years already. Technically the whole super hero world would probably have to be in ruins, because no way in hell is anyone rebuilding this fast. Guess this is why I liked the earlier Spider-Man a bit more. The scales weren't that huge yet. Not everything was a world shattering event. Hell, give me a movie about Superman rescuing a cat from a tree or something, I dunno. Just... not everything always has to be so big. It's the same with the Punisher... I really liked it when he was a lone guy, doing lone guy things. Now it's Punisher and Daredevil and Electra and what's all their names... it just doesn't feel the same anymore. -

ARPG/Diablo-likes: dunno if someone mentioned it already but Moonbeast Productions has some Diablo2/Blizzard North devs and they're making an ARPG. Seemingly voxel in some form, destructible/alterable world in some fashion, every game you make is a seed generation so more unique rng than usual, other stuff. More fantasy-dark than "evil grim dark." Don't expect it any time soon. Maybe 3-4 years. Rhyker has been playing a pre-pre-pre (x10) Alpha demo they gave to him and has a video on it here: (1 month old) A developer live stream (4 months ago) has more - it's an even earlier build, you can see the visual differences, but it's still interesting. -

Builders/management: First time I've heard of it. Anyone tried this? Did you like it? Two of the dev's worked at Bullfrog (Theme Hospital, Fable, Black & White). Steam users seem to rate it highly over some months and say it improves on earlier, similar games from the studio. Fully released, not early-access. It looks cute, but unsure. Maybe a 30% off pickup. - Yesterday

Superman (2025) ---first 40 minutes = "yes, dog is still cute. The rest is meh." I did like not rehashing the origin tale again. --the first giant monster somewhere in there was horrible CGI. --Supes and Lois having a talk with a monster fight casually going in background was slightly amusing. ---Fillion as Guy Gardner was great. ---overall most of the actors were fine, including the Supes actor. The material they were given, not as much ---the usual modern day pacing issues that lead to boredom/not caring, for me. ---after that 40 minutes the FFWD button was used more and more rapidly ---it made me think even more that 70's Superman/Superman-II was a time-period fluke and generally speaking, Supes does not make a compelling/fun MOVIE universe (I've liked some of the S comics more than most of these films). Conclusion: It's an action movie I guess, and I didn't hate what I saw, but to me, it's not Superman. I didn't even like the action. No rating. It is what it is, you'd either like it, not, or don't care. -
Saw this in game: which of course made me think of this (yeah, still miss old YouTube) and then it was stuck in my head again*: *the original actual double-rainbow guy's video is still up, although he died in 2020 at age 57.

If it's so war ravaged, shouldn't he be paying a state visit? I don't believe he's ever even been. Time for El Jefe to see the ruins in person. But TACO.
