  2. Good news for those of us who likes the Frieren story. The manga just lefts its hiatus and picked up on the story where it left off. The Foundation Arc, the Shadow Warriors planning to assassinate the head of The Continental Magic Association at a ball in the imperial capital. Back row from left to right is Sein, Stark and Falsch, next row is Fern, Frieren and Sense, all making up a bodyguard for the head of the group, Serie. Most powerful being known in existence (in the setting at least, if there had been such a thing as a scale, she is beyond an order of magnitude more powerful than Frieren) and also the designated target of the Shadow Warriors, an ancient clandestine imperial special forces unit specialized in fighting mages. Not on this image are the last two two people the CMA brought along, featuring at the end of chapter 141, Land and Ubel. The latter looking like the proverbial nuke ready to go off (Ubel is probably more dangerous than a nuke because a nuke follows the laws of physics and logic).
  3. No, not no. Yes. Trump doesn't even notice that the EU just "agreed" to buy more energy from them in the next three years than US companies could feasibly supply, even if there was enough transportation capacity. If US based companies would ramp up oil and gas extraction to meet the demand and transportation capacity would be redirected entirely to trading with the EU, the energy market would collapse. That's not going to happen. The bridge offer's still on the table, by the way. I can see you're interested. C'mon. I know you always wanted a bridge. Obviously that is what Trump thinks he is doing, but nation after nation says these trade "deals" are more like frameworks. Point being, they get a reduction in tariffs - for car imports the EU now joins Japan in having US dealerships pay less tariffs for imports than domestic car manufactures because they still have to pay the regular tariffs on Canda and Mexico. Look at Australia, they "opened" their markets for American beef. Australia doesn't import beef beyond wagyu from Japan. They export beef worth billions and import beef worth millions. Do you really think anyone is going to sell US beef on the Australian market? It's more expensive and of lesser quality than locally sourced beef. Besides, the beef population in the US is at an all-time low, similar to the current situation in the EU where beef prices are exploding due to a lack of cattle. Trump can go home and tell people that he now opened up formerly closed markets for the ranchers and farmers suffering under his killing of USAID to placate them. Markets that aren't going to buy. Just like the Japanese aren't going to buy cars larger than their roads from US companies.
  4. Trigger - eh, another kdrama that falls off at the end. No great story conclusion/sense of satisfaction, just a lot of "what if/would you" ruminations with a small side of hope. Towards the end they were presenting both the anti-gun and sort of NRA-like stances via various methods - there were a few great quotes for both sides in there - along with some "humanity is not logical ...." type stuff. One of its problems was that (I think) it wants to have a heavy anti-gun message, but the format (action/crime thriller) and its showcasing of "people pushed to breaking points" so we can sympathize with a situation that could lead to violence, plus a kind of likable but almost comic-genre super-villain chr, almost glorified guns instead. So it doesn't work for me as some social message. At the least, it's too perfunctory. Be a serious topical drama, or be a fun/exciting crime thriller, pick one and stick to it, that kind of thing. Acting and action good, first few episodes pretty good, show as a whole kinda "meh." Oh and I probably should've mentioned that if anyone is very sensitive to the school violence/shooting issue, one of the side plots, the resolution episode is probably going to be heavily triggering. On the more humorous side, there was one small scene late in the series between two gangsters and their protracted, eventually OTP pistol showdown that was utterly (intentionally) hilarious.
  5. No I cant understand why people are getting so emotional about these tariff agreements? Its all about the benefits to be able to export to the USA because the USA has such a strong consumer driven economy China agreed to worse tariffs compared to the EU, China has 30% tariffs The main point is all these countries want to continue to export to the US because they know this benefits there economies Yes Trump is using the strength of the US domestic economy to pressure countries to agree but obviously it still benefits the likes of the EU, China or Japan or they wouldnt agree to these tariffs
  6. Today
  7. seem like everyone finally figure out how to bribe the new dumber version of usa pool investment that are already going to happen or simply doesn't exist together for a impressive big number as long as usa get to brag about their ability to extort weaker nation everything is fine
  8. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cx2xylk3d07o The EU had now also cut a tariff deal with the USA, 15% on most EU goods And the EU has committed to certain other trade agreements with the USA Both sides will benefit from this " Trump said the EU would boost its investment in the US by $600bn (£446bn), including American military equipment, and spend $750bn on energy. That investment over the next three years in American liquified natural gas, oil and nuclear fuels would, von der Leyen said, help reduce European reliance on Russian power sources. Some goods will not attract any tariffs, including aircraft and plane parts, certain chemicals and some agricultural products. A separate deal on semiconductors may be announced soon."
  9. Got it. I've reached out to Aleksandrs over on Nexus asking about the 5 or so files in his economy mod that conflict with yours. However it turns out I'm sure it will be no problem. I'm set to get started on my journey. Thanks again for replying, sir. And thank you for the fantastic work.
  10. Unfortunately yeah. The only other option would probably be opening both files in a text editor, comparing the differences and manually merging changes from one into the other to make a best of both worlds. But that does require some level of familiarity with the structure of the file format and a lot of patience. I meant "unwieldy" in the sense that having to scroll around a lot of mods can sometimes be a bit tedious. I only bring it up as you mentioned you are planning to install a lot of mods. Should do. I haven't used it very extensively but it was good to have as a fallback a few times.
  11. Yesterday
  12. Professor Tom Lehrer at age 97, the author of so many fine satirical songs. Many youngsters probably don't know him.
  13. Finally beat Expedition 33. The endings feel tacked on. Or maybe just the one I did. But the journey was beautiful enough to make up for it. Doing some Stellar Blade now. It's decent.
  14. Awesome, Kvellen thank you so much for clarifying that. I had a feeling the convo files were a bit more complicated to edit because of how many possibilities there are in dialogs. OK. So I had already grouped together the mods in my list that hit the same files (around 9 of them). Some just use 1 or 2 files that I can go through individually and remove. But some contain huge amounts of convo files, like the Community Patch Typos module (my bad, those were stringtables lol), No Forced Rest, and Comprehensive Leveling Improvement and EXP Reduction along with his economy rework Booty Buster. I guess I just have to pick the ones I can live without, right? Quick question on the modconfig.json. You said the in game manager is sometimes unwieldy. That is not referring to its efficacy, correct? I am assuming the json just mirrors exactly what that manager shows and it will load in that order? Again, thanks SO much for the help.
  15. Almost finished with Bleach (- filler arcs)*, at the Fullbring mini arc. I'd say it's probably one of the better shonens of it's day, which may be slight praise but it's praise nonetheless. Probably won't work for you if you dislike shonen out of hand but it's good popcorn watching akin to a good action movie or series. I'm going to take a break before TYBW because I just don't like watching weekly. *I think skipping the filler is doing a lot of work, because by god is there a lot of it and it's trash. The whole Bount arc is a terrible speed bump and swerving off from the main story for 20+ episode arcs is not good.
  16. I watched Dandadan episode 4... Thought long and hard about how to summarize events in the episode in a meaningful way. In the end I was just giggling like a maniac going "screw this", it's just not possible Something about volcanoes, giant earthworms, crime families, martial arts priests who dreams of becoming social media stars, aliens, romance, the fastest known mannequin joining the fight, granny Seiko dishing out the hurt with a baseball bat... you name it.
  17. ^I sat through it and that's more than I can say for Sandler's recent comedies.
  18. Happy Gilmore 2 I love the first film and was already mentally prepared to be disappointed, but consider me entertained-ish. I read somewhere that there was a major re-write with the unfortunate passing of Carl Weathers but it still managed to cobble together enough new story, laughs, cameos and callbacks to see it at least once. I like most Adam Sandler movies, but this isnt one of the classics.
  19. Hi guys, I have defeated director shmector but I didn't receive the "Corporate Kickback" mutation.
  20. Psycho Eyes. Chapter 1 just came out and it seems like a banger. The premise is pretty interesting and chapter is promising.
  21. New unique items appear only with those merchants with whom the trade window was not open before the patch. A very strange approach, essentially forcing us to start a new game.
  22. Flyable mounts sounds cool, however as for the rest I strongly hope it doesn’t go in that direction. The lack of an online store and pvp function is a key factor in what distinguishes it from a thousand other games, and makes it one of my favorite games.
  23. I’d love to see this game head towards an old school RuneScape styled economy with the grand exchanges price fluctuations from online players buying and selling items, a levelling system that actually takes a long time and has a skill cape when you max out that certain skill. bosses that respawn and can sometimes drop a mountable of themselves at a super low drop rate. You should be able to buy and sell them on the exchange for a lot and they can’t die like a regular a mountable (ants, spiders, and hopefully a simply flyable mount at launch?) oh and PvP
  24. As discovered by Defaault on reddit, there is a bug where all equipment on a character will disappear if the character is wearing Strand of Favor and is hit by the spell Form of the Helpless Beast. The above video uses a modified version of Form of a Helpless Beast to demonstrate this, but otherwise this bug is vanilla behaviour. From what I can tell it seems to be caused by -10% Hostile effect duration from the Ward of Favor enchantment reapplying as the spell wears off. I've test a few other items that do reduce Hostile effect duration and Arcane Containment on Cabalist's Gambeson is the only one I have found that also causes this bug. Things like Lone Wolf on Ring of the Solitary Wanderer seem to be safe for whatever reason.

  25. Probably better if I reply in this thread, rather than the Any way to make companion idle poses available for player character. Of my mods Deadfire Collected Fixes is probably the mod that's most likely to conflict, since it makes a lot of changes to .conversationbundle files that don't support partial edits. If you have any question about compatibility with specific mods let me know! (Everything contained in this spoiler tag was written before I saw your recent posts so you are probably already aware of what I was trying to explain in it.) If you need to rearrange mods and the in game mod manager is a little unwieldy with how long mod list has got, you can also use the "modconfig.json" file that is generated when loading the game to rearrange the load order of mods. For windows this is located under: %userprofile%\appdata\locallow\Obsidian Entertainment\Pillars of Eternity II\modconfig.json It'll look something like this: { "Entries": [ { "FolderName": "Silent Corporate Logos", "IsLoadedFromSteamUGC": false, "Enabled": true, "AbsolutePath": "G:/GoG Games/Pillars of Eternity II Deadfire/PillarsOfEternityII_Data/override/Silent Corporate Logos" }, { "FolderName": "PoE2-EnhancedUserInterface", "IsLoadedFromSteamUGC": false, "Enabled": true, "AbsolutePath": "G:/GoG Games/Pillars of Eternity II Deadfire/PillarsOfEternityII_Data/override/PoE2-EnhancedUserInterface" } ] } Each entry is contained between a set of {curly braces}, and moving it up and down is as simple as cut & paste. Make sure you have a comma after closing curly brace} of each entry, with the exception of the last entry. So the majority of Deadfire mods on nexus are mods that change gamedata. The file format used for gamedata (.gamedatabundle) support partial edits. What this means is if a modder wants to change specific things, like say making a Combat only ability available outside of combat, they only need to include the lines relevant to the change in a .gamedatabundle in their mod folder. When the game loads it will override just the changes made by this file, and for anything unmodded load the default values. So as long as the gamedata mods aren't changing the same lines, and the modders have followed best practices and aren't including unnecessarily lines of default values, gamedata mods are less likely to conflict. However this is not the case with mods that make changes to things like conversations as the files responsible (.conversationbundle) don't support partial edits. So even when making a very minor edit, like say adding a script to give the player money, the modder must include all unmodified contents of the file as well. Otherwise their changes won't function. This means there will always be an override conflict if multiple mods make changes to the same .conversationbundle file, and whichever one is lower in load order will be the one that wins out.
  26. First 5 episodes of Trigger (Netflix) are pretty decent. Not *great*, but decent. Action stuff is fun, plot is a little more interesting than I thought it would be - although some aspects fall a little flat imo. Kim Nam-gil is great as always and Kim Young-kwang's chr. is fun. guess I've been in the mood for kdrama again, recently, watching/catching up on a lot of them. >.> And a new Disney+ trailer for a KBS2 series. Looks fantasy cheesy as heck, but that cast. It's the signs of Zodiac vs villain. Dangit, looks like I definitely will be giving disney a tiny bit of money for august/Sept to binge watch/check out a few things.
  27. Just to move a conversation back to my own thread as I scan my modlist for conflicts... As I group like mods together, I understand the either/or dynamic for mods that point to a specific gamefile. You load the one you want last. Most of these are obvious. But if 2 mods are using the same 'conversationbundle' file, do they automatically fall into that either/or category? Or is that file type a different kind of modding tool used to access scripting language so more than 1 mod can make changes?
