  1. Past hour
  2. Finished the last mission of Pacific Drive. Had to do the game in small bits due to motion sickness. Overall well worth the money in gameplay. The story is just there.
  3. Little PSA and reminder, please upvote this Bug on the Obsidian Bug Progression Tracker. Link in my earlier Post. Because slowly im really frustrated that i cant Play the Game any further until this Bug ist fixed...
  4. Slowly doodling along in the background with some of the Outer Worlds 2. Mostly in short pushes rather than hugely extended gaming times. Edit: And yes, I am moderately amused and entertained by the menu responding and making commentary on where the game is when I run it up again.
  5. @Hawke64 I stumbled into the City of Anarchy ending. Lou got mysteriously thrown out of the window of her hotel during the day, and it turned into a jolly Anarch town with Katsumi in charge. By the end of it, I'd done all of the side missions for those three characters and had positive responses from pretty much every character I'd met. So apparently, when everyone is positive to you, and you It defaults to Katsumi as the winner.
  6. Today
  7. Loving the fact that we finally have a working (kinda) turn based mode. Bugs I've seen in every combat so far: 1. Reach weapons don't work as intended. If you have a reach weapon, the character will show the area they can hit, and then walk right up next to the monster anyway before attacking. You can bypass this, by not telling them to attack, but just move. And then telling them to attack once they're in range, but I don't think this is working as intended. 2. Kana (and possibly all chanters?) freezes combat. Every time it comes to his turn, if he just does a basic attack the game goes into a "Waiting" state and never comes out of it. It appears that the game is getting hung up on him trying to chant his next phrase after his attack. 3. Disengage isn't working as it did in RTWP. If your character moves .0000001 of a micrometer, the game thinks you've disengaged, even though you never left engagement. This happens against the player's will during some action animations in which you haven't moved at all - the game registers the animation as movement, and the monster gets a free attack on you. 4. Line of sight is almost completely broken in every situation. Even when showing a % to hit (which implies to the player that it can hit), spells and ranged attacks won't work. And AoE spells (like Fan of Flames) hit the environment, not the monsters. 5. Pathing for monsters is also broken. The fight(s) in the Cad Nua cellar against all the spiders is a great example - monsters will be in the turn order, but not actually act. Or they will be close enough to be in the turn order, but not get added to it. Most often if there are more than just a couple monsters, they all take the exact same path to the player, which causes bottlenecks and the game to hang up while it's trying to figure out what they can do. 6. I'm not sure if this is intentional or not, but there are also many combats in which the monsters will all act 2 or 3 times before the player gets to. Turn order implies everyone gets a turn, but I'm not sure if you had something else in mind. So this could be a feature, not a bug. If it is a feature, it's a huge turn off for a mode that should have been much more enjoyable to those of us who hate RTWP.
  8. I have pretty severe astigmatism and other vision issues that make certain text contrasts (such as light on dark) very difficult for me to read, especially at smaller sizes. I love that I can adjust all the UI and environmental subtitle text sizes, and even change the colors and opacities for environmental subtitles, but it seems really weird that the conversation subtitles aren’t adjustable. They’re the majority of the text you look at in the game, it seems like you should be able to at least adjust the size let alone the opacity of the box behind them. Please add a text size adjustment for conversations!!! It’s making the game nearly impossible for me to play, which is such a shame because otherwise I’ve been having a great time
  9. I loaded a previous save and persuaded Vallow Andrew to give me the recipe instead of stealing it from her. Now, when I go back to the step where I have to talk to the moon man, I have an additional dialogue option that I didn’t have in the other save where I stole the recipe.
  10. Can't seem to get a photo small enough to attach, but my character has a left leg prosthetic and when wearing the Scoundrel's Aegis, (and only that armor, thus far) his entire *right* leg disappears below the knee? The prosthetic leg (option 3, fwiw) is there, looks fine, but the right leg just vanishes. I've tried changing gear, headgear, restarting- no luck. Not sure if its just something with the prosthetic?
  11. I'm having a similar issue (still), I chatted with Inez at the ministry (because why would I do the main quest before I've done all the side quests?). Later I dropped in at town hall to chat with Milversmeet, Inez told me to meet her outside but she's just been standing there telling me to not work with the guy. I figured this was a bug and that it would reset if I left and came back, unfortunately I came back way later and Inez is still stuck there repeating the same "don't work with this idiot" bark and won't move off the spot.
  12. During the Forbidden Secrets of the Undisputed Claim when i need to talk to the moon man i can't tell him that i'm here to talk with him and no matter the dialog choices i can't talk to him anymore and my quest is stuck on asking me to interrogate the moon man.
  13. Future application process: (1) verify male neanderthal genome; (2) welcome to the military son.
  14. It would also be nice if they would remove a bit of the crazy lens coloring most of them have, it makes it pretty hard to see through them.
  15. If you repair the fountains water flow, the technician gets all excited, but no water flows out of the four fountain nozzles. Its a small bug, but a little bit emersion breaking.
  16. Haha I stole Marty McFly’s time machine and went back to the future to install version 1.0.4.2! (just kidding — it was a typo, I meant 1.0.4.1)
  17. I have just received the 'Snobbish' flaw: DESCRIPTION You don't like getting your hands dirty and don't have the stomach for manual labor. You can no longer breakdown your items, but any crafting materials you find sell for more. EFFECTS +20% vendor price for crafting materials You can no longer break down items. I did, however, not receive it because I've bought a lot of crafting materials... I triggered the flaw because I sold a lot of materials. It seems the game mistook me selling the items for buying them. I generally like the 'flaw system' because it highlights my choices (I received the 'Treacherous' flaw because I save-scummed for example. And yes, I also accepted the 'Flawed' flaw). But, it needs to make sense. I skip dialogue? The game 'punishes' me with a timer in conversation. That is fun and makes sense in a way. In this case, I received the 'Snobbish' flaw and the description reads: 'You don't like getting your hands dirty and don't have the stomach for manual labor. You can no longer breakdown your items, but any crafting materials you find sell for more.'. That feels wrong. I was selling said crafting materials because I needed money, yes. I had al those materials because I was very diligent in exploring, looting, crafting and breaking down items for materials. That's how I ended up with a large surplus. By 'getting my hands dirty'. I also have the 'Hermit' flaw for example. That felt right. In this case, it feels like the game made a mistake. I don't mind it that much, but this feels like a bug to me. I don't know if it matters but I was selling the items to the Vendor Mech at the Greater Tranquility Station (in order to buy ).
  18. That's really interesting, playing on PC and specifically going into Laplace's garden and getting XP from discovering it triggered this bug for me too, and it's specifically that discovery, I reloaded to before I entered, went and killed a bunch of mobs and then discovered spireton and that triggered my level and the bug did not happen.
  19. I tested wizard a bit. Serious nerf to durations (chill fog, aim, etc) , also Druid seemed to suffer from this (spirit shift reduced to two turns - 4 with 18 int). A max dps wizard still seems viable. Melee which heavily relied on one chill fog lasting most of the fight, not so much. I’ll try cipher, that sounded fun actually. No delay cipher might be very enjoyable. although antipathetic field at only 1 turn might no longer be anti, unless it pulses multiple times per turn (unlikely)
  20. played the game yesterday for about 5 hours, runnig really smooth. an hour later trying to restart, cant even acces the menu. after the obsidian logo, black screen and FATAL ERROR ue arkansas message. nothing of info or number just fatal error. been breaking my head on it. did full reinstall like 4 times. deleted cache, deleted riva tuner, install on other drive, going into notepad settings to change things. NOTHING. no fix online that helps. somebody anyy idea???
  21. Yes, I've tested it in my game and that is exactly what's happening. The explosive resistance applies to both damage received and damage dealt, sadly. I'm running an explosives/engineering build and really want to be able toss a grenade at my feet! Obsidian, could we pretty please get this issue addressed in the next hotfix/patch?
  22. It appears characters will move into normal melee range when attacking with a reach weapon, despite being unnecessary.
  23. Yes having this same Niles issue he's bugged and won't do anything so I can't progress in the game at all
  24. The text wall of my review is under the spoiler tag. To summarise, it is an action-adventure, there is little roleplay, most of the meaningful choices lie at the end, the level design is atrocious, the combat and the performance are terrible (nonetheless, I am delighted that the game takes only 25GB), the saving system has no place in modern games, and it was a pain to get this to launch (the launcher and telemetry were starting up just fine, though). Also, the post-effects may trigger motion sickness and the only camera option is the first person. The story is passable and the mystery is somewhat compelling. Both protagonists are fine and generally not unpleasant to play as (unless one notices some peculiarities with the Malkavian). The controls are rebindable, but it was not possible to make them comfortable. The small things that I genuinely liked are that the avatar's body is visible and the attires remain the same for both body types. @Raithe Could you please share what ending you got?
