Inventory management/Hot Deposit suggestions
Coming from a group that has played Grounded extensively, as well as other open-world survival games, there are 2 suggestions for the inventory system that we would like to make. These are things that I've seen in other games, and would be incredibly convenient in Grounded 2. Storage bin assignmentDetails:Allow for us to assign specific items to specific bins instead of only hot depositing when that bin already contains the item. Use Case:Someone in my group uses the last piece of Bee Fuzz to build something. Next time I return to base and hot-deposit my resources, my Bee Fuzz stays in my inventory. I have to find the correct bin to place it in, which can sometimes be messy when we have lots of bins/resources. Solution:A bin is permanently flagged as a drop-off location for Bee Fuzz. When hot depositing, resources will first go to a bin that has existing matched resources and second to any bin that is flagged as a drop-off location for that resource. Locked inventory slotsDetails:Allow us to "lock" inventory slots so that the items in that slot are never sorted or hot deposited. Use Case:I want to keep 2 stacks of arrows in my inventory, but sometimes I end up with extra arrows from collecting them after a team fight. I'd like to be able to hot deposit the extras into a shared bin for teammates to pick up, but currently I can only deposit all of my stacks. Also applies to things like tufts or bandages, where you want to keep a certain amount with you but sometimes end up with excess. Solution:Add a small "lock" icon to inventory slots. Any items that are in that slot are ignored by hot deposit and inventory sort actions. Optionally also apply to mount inventory slots.

Wrong Limited Event
The main menu says that the Lucky Coin Limited Event is started, but in the game I still have the Valentine chocolates. Restarted the game several times but no update.

Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Part VII
Sage sorcerer, I think, uses intelligence. There's always wizard but I don't like juggling spell slots but maybe cruoromancer would be the most thematically appropriate with a Dhampir.

Warhammer 40k 10th edition core rules are now free....
I received some mails from GW, about the discontinuation of the old Black Library website. Looks like they struck a deal with Apple etc. to sell the e-books through the mobile phone providers. Which sucks of course, but then I only ever bought The Old World rules in electronic format (to read on my laptop. not my phone). I just can't read a novel on my phone 😖 Maybe that is the reason 3rd Edition Horus Heresy rules haven't been published in electronic format yet? I don't see myself forking out that amount of money for something that might be as bad or worse than 2nd edition books

KPop Demon Hunters (2025). Despite not liking a single one of the songs (really, more an issue of the choice of vocalists than anything else, I think - it was a truly ghastly collection of singing voices, I'm afraid, though I'm obviously not into kpop which certainly has to play into that issue), I did enjoy the movie overall. Did it feel like I was re-watching what was essentially a dressed-up and restructured version of a certain Disney film released 13 years ago? ...Yes, yes it did. But I like Frozen, so I think that's okay. Also, the above image is surprisingly not from Frozen, it's actually from KPop Demon Hunters but it came like halfway through the film when I was already feeling like I was watching Frozen and, look, they heard my brain, because there's Frozen!

Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Part VII
Just raising this thread from the annals of history. As mentioned in the what are you playing now thread, I picked up this game again and will probably need more than once to go search for info in this thread. Before I invest too much time, anyone got good suggestions for a starting class to turn into a lich? First game started out as a sorcerer, but I think I would prefer something where it makes more sense to boost intelligence rather than charisma. Maybe playing the Dhampir (sp?) race too for maximum undeadness

Not the same guy. Easy mistake to make since even the Danish royal family has a more imaginative and varied naming scheme than the Pahlavis. Reza Pahlavi (I, long dead, generally referred to as Reza Khan/ Shah for reasons that will become obvious) got into power in a coup and got chucked out by the Soviets and British during WW2. He got succeeded by his son, Reza Pahlavi (II, died 1980?, generally referred to as Muhammed Pahlavi to distinguish him from his dad and son) when he abdicated. He was the Mossadegh coup, SAVAK death/ torture squads etc guy who managed to convince Iranians that Khomeini was a better alternative than him. His son Reza Pahlavi (III) is the current iteration currently wandering around praising Bibi and Trump for blowing up his countrymen.

What are you Playing Now? Volume XIX: The New Beginning of the End of the Middle
I found out, I could access my old Pathfinder Wrath of the Righeous saved games via GOG cloud. Awesome. Installed the game and relized a lot of time had passed since playing on my lich game 🤔 I remember having a nice editor tool for saved games, but I don't remember what it was called. In hindsight, having a spell caster specializing in scythe combat wasn't such a great idea, but hey, it made perfect sense thematically! Started up a new game as a Magus (arcane rider), but till probably drop it again. It was good as a warm up game though. I might do a second take on the Lich path, but with something different than a sorcerer as the starting class. I wouldn't be surprised if magus is a decent choice for the task Edit: It bugs me a bit, that I have a hard time constantly picking evil choises, even if its a roleplaying character.

I'm cheating a bit. My best friend during my university years was from Iran. He survived two years at the front in the war between Iran and Iraq, after which his family had saved up enough money to buy him a fake passport and ship him off to northern Europe. Awesome guy. Even better chef 🤤 He married a Danish girl, had kids, Danish beer and pork sausages was his own favourite food 😅 Shared a lot of stories too, about the clergy, the Shah, and what he knew about Iran from before those times

Iran once had an elected president, Mossadeq. Secular too. He was removed by the US and the UK, because he was more concerned about Iranian interests instead of US and UK interests. He was replaced by Rezah Pahlavi, being a good puppet to control the country. Unlike Mossadeq not objecting to the US and the UK taking ownership of Irans oil reserves. A bit like Allende in Chile. Can't have those elected leaders when people vote wrong! Reza was originally forced from power by the UK in 1941 because he was a Nazi sympatiser. Go figure, better get that guy back in power again instead of the elected one :P

Sometimes it can be really annoying to try to hit the little star next to a thread link to get to the latest post. Maybe it would be possible to just add the same link format to the thread title link? Would make it a lot easier to get to the last unread post. I feel like it's all what most people would want to do anyways.

It would be hard to imagine regime change in Iran in the same way it happened in Venezuela, remove the leader and the new government falls in line and starts reversing all the authoritarian policies and the country starts on a journey of becoming a real Democracy again Iran has never been a real Democracy and its spent the last 45 years creating a mindset that is opposed to the US and its " imperialist influence " Anti-American sentiment is ingrained into the psyche of most of the hardliners in Iran, its all they have ever known And anti-Israeli sentiment is even worse There are lots of Iranians who would love to see a better relationship with the US and the West and the country to just be a normal member of the international community But they not in power I would assume the US and Israeli objective is if you kill the Iranian leadership and keep bombing them then the new government would be more favorable to all the demands and objectives Its difficult to predict what will happen because we haven't seen this before with the Supreme Leader being killed I dont think we will see the political change we are hoping for with the new leadership but you never know ?
