Interesting clarification from Rubio, the US military objectives are not about regime change but that would be ideal if the Iranians themselves could do that ( not sure how they could but anyway ) The US military objectives are about destroying Irans ability to launch missiles, drones and get nukes. I'm also not sure how you can achieve this, I assume by bombing every Iranian military site? Rubio says US launched strikes against Iran because of pl...Top diplomat says US understood its assets would be hit by Iran in retaliation for a preemptive Israeli strike, even though Jerusalem seen as unlikely to have acted without Trump's blessing "Asked whether regime change was a goal in Iran, as US President Donald Trump has indicated in the past, Rubio said the US would love to see it happen, but it is not among the aims of the current military operation. “Our mission and our focus is the destruction of missiles and the ability to manufacture them, as well as their naval capabilities,” Rubio said. The remarks caused further confusion, as Trump earlier Monday listed two other aims for Operation Epic Fury: ensuring Iran cannot support proxy militia groups or obtain a nuclear weapon. “That said, we hope that the Iranian people can overthrow this government,” Rubio said. “Whoever runs the regime, the goal is to ensure that they don’t have missiles and drones to threaten us,” he said, seemingly adding another war aim — neutralizing the Iranian drone threat."

If the americans actually believe that they're fricking bonkers. The Houthis effectivedly closed the Bab al Mandab despite literally not having a navy nor 5% of the resources Iran has; nor even physically holding the coast near it- Hodeidah is around 200km away. And the Bab al Mandab is far less constricted than the straits of Hormuz. Absolute lolz. The largest anti Iran faction of Kurds that is active in Iran is PJAK, a sister organisation to the YPG in Syria. The same YPG Trump stabbed in the back barely a month ago to utter silence from the same media who trumpeted their bravery at Kobani 12 years ago. Unlikely to get the backing of the PUK either, whatever platitudes they may make. So, he'd be relying on bribing Barzani Iteration to use the same Kurds that ran away from the Iranian backed PMUs at Kirkuk in 2017 instead. Sums up Trump's shambolic foreign policy about as well as their incoherent messaging has*. Also one of the best indications that Netanyahu got him on side by spouting bollocks about how easy it'd all be. *I mean really, the Trump admin has been disorganised and messy before with messaging, but this has been absolute next level.

https://www.navalnews.com/naval-news/2026/03/us-strikes-destroy-irans-main-naval-assets/ The US has destroyed much of Iran's navy, this is relevant because it will limit Irans ability to close the Straits of Hormuz and launch drones and missiles " U.S. Central Command confirmed the destruction of the Shahid Bagheri, Iran’s recently commissioned drone and helicopter carrier, during strikes on March 2. The vessel, which had only entered service with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy on February 6, 2025, represented a major investment in Iran’s naval power projection capabilities. Converted from a 240-meter container ship over two years, the 40,000-ton carrier featured a 180-meter ski-jump runway and could operate for up to a year at sea without refuelling, according to Iranian naval officials."

What You've Done Today...or yesterday...or what you are doing RIGHT THIS MINUTE!!!
Over the weekend, after seeing a video of "The Catch", I somehow ended up down the rabbithole of watching full, 80's 49er Superbowls, then 49er championship rounds etc. That I haven't seen since they aired. I remember watching that '81 season/SB with my father, good memories. Edit: the SB XXIII vs. Bengals was one of the most nail-biting/fun to watch live, too. After all that, I decided to look up NFL 2025 highlight videos. I probably have watched zero US football for 20+ years (maybe a few news highlights here and there). The outfit designs/patterns seem even more weird/garish then before and in the wide shots those current helmets make players look like short bobbleheads. I chuckled. I'm sure one gets used to it (and hopefully those helmets are better protection), but 1st-sight caused amusement. :D It was interesting tho because I guess rules have changed a lot - the stuff I was seeing in the 2025 seemed a lot more gentle, so to speak, vs 1980's. I mean the tackles/hits. More safety reasons I presume. The long run catches or long scoring drives are still exciting tho.

Random video game news... video random news game
There will be a particle slider so you can turn all that visual noise "off" or have it max. I never got past the intro of TW3 - Garult is not my kind of chr. Might have been another reason, like graphics at the time, but I don't remember. And watching later YT video let's play didn't change my mind so I never tried it again. I think for me Crimson D. looks like the sort of "world" I like to explore, mostly - since I'm not focused on any "RPG" aspect anymore - plus their seeming desire to optimize for native as much as possible (and optimization in general) vs. "just turn on dlss/frame gen". The 2080 rec. requirements these days is pretty decent for big expansive graphic/world games+RT global illumination (even if that's for native 1080/60). I think it started with 32gb system ram req, but then they got it down to 16gb. I like to see that in a dev. Maybe with upscaling and some lowered settings I can run it at "4k" at over 60fps instead of "mostly, kinda 60 fps." Heh. But yeah, gameplay is always the key. Is it interesting/fun, engaging, motivating, is it a decent open world or one of the boring nothingness types etc. We'll see. I'm willing to give it a shot as long as early reviews aren't "crash and burn".

Hello! If possible, would I also be able to receive a follow-up regarding my application? I applied to both the Art Outsourcing and Environment Art intern roles.

Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Part VII
If you're using mods, I'd reccomend the Arcanist. It can raise DC and caster level on demand which is pretty great for a caster, but you need a mod that adds Quick Study for it to be where it needs to be. There's also Ley Line Guardian Witch as an alternative to the Sage Sorc, imo it's got a better early game with hexes and by the time you start spellbook merge stuff you're just ****ing everything up with busted Lich spells and not needing the better sorcerer spell list.

Glue Masher Add-Ins
Is there anyway we could add more Recipes to the Glue Masher like Roach Chucks or Black ant parts. I have so many from Gold card hunting and there is nothing i can do with these exrta parts but throw them out, if more items like these get added it would make use of other Bug parts instead of throwing them all away

about the mage archetype in grounded 2
ok, so first of all, i would like to say that the mage has HUGE potential in grounded 2, but sadly, here's some problems i've ran into 1: not much variety: the mage weapons are very similar to grounded 1's mage weapons, i would like to see a couple more unique weapons, especially for tier 1 and 2. Also, maybe have an upgrade for the tier 2 candy staves? 2: no tier 1: the mage weapons and armor are tier 2 and 3 exclusive right now. What i would like to see is a tier 1 mage armor, and like 1 or 2 tier 1 mage weapons. some cool ideas i have: Mitey mage armor: crafted out of grub hide, mite fuzz, and mite fangs, it is a tier 1 armor that has a passive that on a final hit of a mage attack, you have a chance to summon a spectral mite to attack enemies, but it can only attack a couple of times before it dissipates. sap globber: a staff that shoots a glob of sap that can slow enemies and deals a respectable amount of damage scaled down to tier 1, crafted out of sprigs, sap, and mite fuzz thistle wand: a wand that shoots a cone formation of thistles, does a small amount of damage, but does more damage up close PS. this will allow players to also get going on whittle wizard mutations early

Inventory management/Hot Deposit suggestions
Coming from a group that has played Grounded extensively, as well as other open-world survival games, there are 2 suggestions for the inventory system that we would like to make. These are things that I've seen in other games, and would be incredibly convenient in Grounded 2. Storage bin assignmentDetails:Allow for us to assign specific items to specific bins instead of only hot depositing when that bin already contains the item. Use Case:Someone in my group uses the last piece of Bee Fuzz to build something. Next time I return to base and hot-deposit my resources, my Bee Fuzz stays in my inventory. I have to find the correct bin to place it in, which can sometimes be messy when we have lots of bins/resources. Solution:A bin is permanently flagged as a drop-off location for Bee Fuzz. When hot depositing, resources will first go to a bin that has existing matched resources and second to any bin that is flagged as a drop-off location for that resource. Locked inventory slotsDetails:Allow us to "lock" inventory slots so that the items in that slot are never sorted or hot deposited. Use Case:I want to keep 2 stacks of arrows in my inventory, but sometimes I end up with extra arrows from collecting them after a team fight. I'd like to be able to hot deposit the extras into a shared bin for teammates to pick up, but currently I can only deposit all of my stacks. Also applies to things like tufts or bandages, where you want to keep a certain amount with you but sometimes end up with excess. Solution:Add a small "lock" icon to inventory slots. Any items that are in that slot are ignored by hot deposit and inventory sort actions. Optionally also apply to mount inventory slots.

The main menu says that the Lucky Coin Limited Event is started, but in the game I still have the Valentine chocolates. Restarted the game several times but no update.

Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Part VII
Sage sorcerer, I think, uses intelligence. There's always wizard but I don't like juggling spell slots but maybe cruoromancer would be the most thematically appropriate with a Dhampir.

Warhammer 40k 10th edition core rules are now free....
I received some mails from GW, about the discontinuation of the old Black Library website. Looks like they struck a deal with Apple etc. to sell the e-books through the mobile phone providers. Which sucks of course, but then I only ever bought The Old World rules in electronic format (to read on my laptop. not my phone). I just can't read a novel on my phone 😖 Maybe that is the reason 3rd Edition Horus Heresy rules haven't been published in electronic format yet? I don't see myself forking out that amount of money for something that might be as bad or worse than 2nd edition books

KPop Demon Hunters (2025). Despite not liking a single one of the songs (really, more an issue of the choice of vocalists than anything else, I think - it was a truly ghastly collection of singing voices, I'm afraid, though I'm obviously not into kpop which certainly has to play into that issue), I did enjoy the movie overall. Did it feel like I was re-watching what was essentially a dressed-up and restructured version of a certain Disney film released 13 years ago? ...Yes, yes it did. But I like Frozen, so I think that's okay. Also, the above image is surprisingly not from Frozen, it's actually from KPop Demon Hunters but it came like halfway through the film when I was already feeling like I was watching Frozen and, look, they heard my brain, because there's Frozen!

Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Part VII
Just raising this thread from the annals of history. As mentioned in the what are you playing now thread, I picked up this game again and will probably need more than once to go search for info in this thread. Before I invest too much time, anyone got good suggestions for a starting class to turn into a lich? First game started out as a sorcerer, but I think I would prefer something where it makes more sense to boost intelligence rather than charisma. Maybe playing the Dhampir (sp?) race too for maximum undeadness
