yeah, I can imagine. I've seen similar photos of soldiers (like this one, probably the most famous):

and to add something thematically appropriate:

Oh, the curse of a 9-5 job. When I try that out when I get home I'll be crushed by people with experience. Well, that and because my reflexes have dulled over the years.

“Political philosophers have often pointed out that in wartime, the citizen, the male citizen at least, loses one of his most basic rights, his right to life; and this has been true ever since the French Revolution and the invention of conscription, now an almost universally accepted principle. But these same philosophers have rarely noted that the citizen in question simultaneously loses another right, one just as basic and perhaps even more vital for his conception of himself as a civilized human being: the right not to kill.”

"The chancellor, the late chancellor, was only partly correct. He was obsolete. But so is the State, the entity he worshipped. Any state, entity, or ideology becomes obsolete when it stockpiles the wrong weapons: when it captures territories, but not minds; when it enslaves millions, but convinces nobody. When it is naked, yet puts on armor and calls it faith, while in the Eyes of God it has no faith at all. Any state, any entity, any ideology that fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of Man...that state is obsolete."

I guess this is the kind of game you seriously should play with TrackIR.

ATS with full wheel & pedal with shifter setup and VR is the dream.  I have a wheel and pedal setup but no shifter and no VR.

Of course, I may well be "playing" ATS in real life in the near future, assuming I go through with changing careers and getting my CDL Class A.  That's the ULTIMATE VR experience.  :shifty:

I'm not going down there.

Why the **** did I come down here?

Incidentally, the latter screenshot is with torch turned on. I swear, in generic horror universe, you only get to choose from two kinds of crap torch models: It can either last 5 seconds before needing to recharge from, one would assume, darkness, or it uses bulbs from Christmas tree lights to provide light. Bulbs from Christmas tree lights covered in slime.

The graphics for Disgaea 2 have not aged well.

My first bash at recreating a 1990s/early 2000s 1st SFOD-D operator:

"Now Delta or no Delta, that's a hot weapon. You know better than that. Your safety should be on at all times."

*Presents index finger and bends it as if pulling a trigger* "This is my safety."

ha! the funny thing is, I also made a Delta operator, only in my case, taking the setting of the game into consideration, I went with Operation Acid Gambit as my reference :D
