Making a Coastal Aumaua and of course once again minority races get the shaft in the portraits department.

Yes, this has already been done. I'll try to find the exact post and add it here later.

The first one turned out to be really ugly & unmakable, but still, did this one :

 

 

Now we need a tree-shifter druid subclass.

These are gorgeous and all I never knew I wanted! Especially the pale elves cause thats all i've been playing..I just find them the most interesting. Thaaank you.

Did someone say dwarves? Though I've noticed a couple humans on this thread are DnD dwarves. These two ladies comes in flavors of beardless and some beard.

 

You're gonna have to save some of them as .png since I forgot to do so when editing them because I'm a moron/

Someone asked for some Jon Snow where he's not about to cry and it's pretty hard as he almost always looks that way. Found a few that might work though. Again, sucking at watercoloring them, so just offering them up. Threw in some Robb for good measure.

 

 

 

Someone else requested some dwarfs, my wife gave me suggestions. She likes the beardless dwarves and saw plenty of bearded ones on the previous post. Also posted a female dwarf she liked.

How do you use a custom portrait in-game? just drop the image in a foulder in the game directory or something?

first, you usually have to name them properly, then you can drop them in to the... \PillarsOfEternityII_Data\gui\portraits\player\male or female folder

There are 4 portrait types - lg, sm, convo, si.

 

example:

 

male_human_a_lg.png

male_human_a_sm.png

male_human_a_convo.png

male_human_a_si.png

 

lg = large portrait = 210 x 320 pixels

sm = small portrait  = 76 x 96 pixels

convo = large watercolour = 90 x 141 pixels

si = small watercolour = 76 x 96 pixels

 

For a custom portrait to show up in the in-game list, you only need lg and sm. I just find the last unique "letter"  for the appropriate sex/race and continue on from there. For example, the last female elf portrait is "female_elf_k_" so I just continue on from there with "female_elf_l_", then "female_elf_m_" and so on.

Small correction: For some reason, the "si" versions of the new - as in, new to Deadfire - portraits are 90 x 114. The "si" files made from PoE1 holdovers have the 76 x 96 pixel count, though. I actually went through the portraits folder and made all those legacy files a higher resolution by simply cropping the convo files down to 90 x 114, since the "si" interface apparently allows for a higher resolution...

 

...yea, I'm that analy retentive.

Hey guys, awkwardly gonna bump my request in case anyone has some time and can change these portraits to the "watercolour conversation thingie" format. 

 

I can at least change it to the smaller "_sm" versions by myself, *self-pat-in-the-back* so don't waste your time on that.
