Gary1986 Posted May 24, 2018 Posted May 24, 2018 Now she's a sidekick and the DLC is out, can somebody tell me her class and/or classes? Cheers Little birds talk about Monk, or Monk/Rogue, or Monk/FIghterBut it may be not true. Now the better question: Why is Mirke? I'm hoping for rogue.
JerekKruger Posted May 24, 2018 Posted May 24, 2018 She surely needs her own Nalpazca variant that works with alcohol. That's the one true perfect class for her. 2
Taevyr Posted May 24, 2018 Posted May 24, 2018 She surely needs her own Nalpazca variant that works with alcohol. That's the one true perfect class for her. Drunken master subclass anyone? 1
Kesslik Posted May 24, 2018 Posted May 24, 2018 Monk base class, fighter or rogue secondary class options. No unique items, has a few potions and a fine dagger and stiletto. I picked the fighter subclass and she has a lot of skill points in alchemy, athletics, and streetwise. Stats are something like 13 might 16 con 10 dex 14 per 11 int 14 will. I get the distinct impression she may have somewhat of a drinking problem :D 1
Greensleeve Posted May 24, 2018 Posted May 24, 2018 She has no no Monk or Fighter subclasses, but she's a Streetfighter Rogue. That alone makes me lean towards making her a Shadowdancer. And obviously, she'll have to use Pukestabber in some way. It's just too fitting.

So I've downloaded the DLC and my question is where's Mirke? Is it possible I killed her? I've gone back to the court (where the piano is) can't see her and yes I took the violent option in the Blow the Man Down quest.... ***Disregard she appeared.... Edited May 24, 2018 by rogue7259

Mikeymoonshine Posted May 24, 2018 Posted May 24, 2018 Now the better question: Why is Mirke? Well when Obs did the Ydwin stretch goal they said they would replace her with another sidekick if the goal was hit, so it's possible they just already done some work on making the new sidekick and this was Mirke. Why waste a good portrait and a unique character model, when u can earn some goodwill by releasing it as free dlc? I could be wrong tho I have no insider info.
fgalkin Posted May 24, 2018 Posted May 24, 2018 As we all discovered today, Mirke is the drunk nudist sidekick
Yonjuro Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 As we all discovered today, Mirke is the drunk nudist sidekick That doesn't make her a bad person.

She does not have points in Sleight of Hand at level 1--she has Alchemy 2, Athletics 3, Stealth 1, Insight 2, Metaphysics 2, Religion 2, and Streetwise 1. 1
Crucis Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 (edited) Do you have to start a new game to get her? I've finished off Deadlight, and she doesn't seem to have any options to join. UPDATE: I just got the DLC properly installed, and was not able to get her to join. It may not seem it at first when you talk to her again, but just ask her how things are around Deadlight, and she'll answer in an expected way, but then, she'll be sort of hesitant, and eventually ask if you've got room for another sword arm on your ship. Katarack21 Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 I didn't start a new game, but I hadn't finished Fort Deadlight yet, either. I did it real quick and then she joined.

I wanted to see her stats, of course. Not her lack of clothes. Do you have to start a new game to get her? I've finished off Deadlight, and she doesn't seem to have any options to join. No. I just got her in a game started before the DLC. 1
Crucis Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 I'm curious which class option for Mirke people prefer, pure monk, monk/fighter, or monk/rogue? I really don't need another rogue, since I have Eder as a pure rogue, and I occasionally have Ydwin in the party and I have her as a cipher/rogue. Personally, I'm leaning towards pure monk, but could be convinced to try out a monk/fighter. (Mirke really doesn't seem like a normal monk from a RP PoV. Monk/Fighter seems more her RP personality, at least to me.)
AWizardDidIt Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 I love my new happy and perpetually-drunk orlan pirate friend who has utter contempt for undergarments. InsaneCommander Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 For me it's shadowdancer. My watcher will be an assassin so I don't really need another rogue, but it suits her. A drunk who is:
Katarack21 Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 I'm surprised she's not Nalpazca so she can get bonuses for being drunk all the time.
Crucis Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 I'm surprised she's not Nalpazca so she can get bonuses for being drunk all the time. I was thinking the same thing. In one way it makes a lot of sense. OTOH, I'm not entirely sure how a drunken pirate girl ends up being a monk. It seems like she could have been sort of an untrained monk in the same way that Sarafen is an untrained cipher and even has his own subclass for it. But I suppose her being sort of an untrained monk could be why she has no subclass. I love my new happy and perpetually-drunk orlan pirate friend who has utter contempt for undergarments. I could see her as either of the two multiclass choices. Monk/Rogue might be even better, but she's not really a good fit for me as a m/r since I'm already well covered there with Eder being my party rogue (though his skill focus is on Mechanics). I suppose I could take Mirke and turn her into a slight of hand specialist, though this late in the game, I'm not sure if it's worth it. OTOH, I've been putting off going to see the Queen of Nekataka, where I presume I'm going to be pushed to pick a side, and risk losing Pallegina or Maia. So maybe now might be the perfect time to start thinking about who will be a replacement. I'm leaning towards going with the Rauataians, which would mean I'd lose Pallegina. (Man, I HATE that, cuz I like having a paladin around. They're so damned useful against anything that wants to charm your party.)
Ildun Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 I'm surprised she's not Nalpazca so she can get bonuses for being drunk all the time. Wait, she is not Zahua's apprentice?
Gutbuster Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 So how does one get her as a companion exactly? DLC installed but only got 2 dialogue options for her "How are things around fort deadlight?" and "Feeling okay?" neither triggers a choice to let her join.

If the DLC is properly loaded, as the first question, and just ask her to continue, about after the 2nd "Continue", she'll ask if you need any help (don't remember the exact words). You do not have to start a new game to gain access to this. You can even have spoken to her prior to getting the DLC.

Seems like it's not installed properly for me, for some reason it's trying to install in my secondary GOG location and for some reason it's not possible to change the installation path on the DLC.

Sorry, can't help you with that. All I know is that *IF* it's installed properly, it does work and you don't need to start a new character.
