We'll take care of the cartels on our side of the border. And how come no one cared when Obama demeaned and belittled Netanyahu for 8 years?

Yes, I'm sure building the wall will curtail the massive amount of drug consumption in the US.

No, they'll all have to move to Cali for the legal pot.

Recall lots of whining over that over the years (cudgel at hand, perhaps), as if Bibi was special or the US is to be the dog. But it seemed like just two guys that disliked one another.

It seems that the remnants of the old US administration have given word to Kosovo to go hard or get ****ed as Trump is going to leave them hanging. The Brussels negotiation ended in failure even though the Serbian side was willing to concede (playing for time) but the Kosovo side didn't want to hear any of it and just stonewalled the "talks". Now we are in a situation where Serbs in the north of Kosovo are panicking and the Albanians are putting as much pressure as they can (moving their armed forces north) so they can cause a conflict.

Another interesting thing is that the US ambassador (part of the old US administration) has told our prime-minister to stop moving our forces near Kosovo borders, to which our prime-minister promptly told him to **** off, as he has no say regarding the internal defenses of a sovereign country.

So things are peachy over here. On one hand you have the Serbs who are waiting on Trump and on the other hand you have the Albanians and the old US establishment dreading trumps decision.

Well yeah, everyone hates Bibi except for right wing (Israeli) voters. He's also not the best person to bring up with respect to corruption since he's actually under investigation for it right at this moment, plus he blatantly interfered in a US election before it was fashionable and for the losing candidate. No wonder Obama loathed him.

OK, so suddenly the rules about showing respect to a head of state no longer apply where they just applied with regard to the Australian PM.

Yeah, 99% sure Trump won't interfere, unless some of the establishment people around him manage to convince him. Edited by Wrath of Dagon

The question here is not if Trump will or will not interfere, the question is will he continue to support/"control" Kosovo or leave it. Best case scenario for Serbia would be the US pulling out from Kosovo and closing camp Bondsteel (not going to happen in my opinion), worst case scenario would be that the US continues to support Kosovo and a conflict arises from this situation.

Melania is Slovenian.

She'll prolly tell Trump to bomb Belgrado to smithereens.

Would not be so sure.

Neither Malcolm Turnbull nor Bibi Netanyahu are a head of state. It's Queenie/ the Governor General (basically the same person, legally) and the President of Israel. And in both cases respect has to be reciprocal. Bibi respects nothing whatsoever and actively campaigned against Obama. As for Turnbull...

Frankly, if Turnbull set out to 'shirtfront'* Trump as reported then Trump was perfectly within his rights to tell him to go asterisk himself. I don't know why we're bailing Australia out of their refugee problem (well I do, they threatened to escort refugee ships to NZ waters- we still should have told them to go lose another war to oversized turkeys), let alone why the US is. His predecessor set out to shirtfront Putin previous, and wasn't exactly successful there. Posturing in both cases, neither Turnbull nor Abbot are anywhere near as important as they think they are. It was also, in both cases, done primarily to bolster their domestic appeal by appearing tough.

Both Clinton and Obama interfered heavy-handedly in Israeli elections, so it's reciprocal.

They consider themselves as Western Europeans, sadly the rest of the Western EU does not agree.

I would say that their problem is in fact that lots of people mix them with Slovakia and don't actually know what kind country Slovenia is. But from my only visit there I would say that it is quite western European, but my view is based mostly only one city. Where I went shopping as I lived in near by resort that was in border of Hungary and Slovenia.

Actually Obama was less critical of Israel, with the exception of the last resolution, than previous Republican presidents. So its inaccurate to suggest Obama belittled Netanyahu for 8 years

Was listening to the radio on my way home from work today to hear someone express concern that there was "a six-year old with the 'biscuit' in his pocket in the White House." I'm afraid many might miss the reference to "the biscuit."

Speaking of which, the following is what the DOD considered key personality features necessary to be judged as reliable enough to handle US nuclear weapons (circa April 2016):

Are you talking about a country that is in EU since 2004 and in euro zone since 2009?

Yes. Ask how well that turned out for them.

Probably as well as other euro zone countries beside Germany - badly.

But that wasn't the point.

well, I am kinda against EU but I could not deny that economy of eastern EU states grows quite fast as opposed of these outside of it...

I'm the enemy, 'cause I like to think, I like to read. I'm into freedom of speech, and freedom of choice. I'm the kinda guy that likes to sit in a greasy spoon and wonder, "Gee, should I have the T-bone steak or the jumbo rack of barbecue ribs with the side-order of gravy fries?" I want high cholesterol! I wanna eat bacon, and butter, and buckets of cheese, okay?! I wanna smoke a Cuban cigar the size of Cincinnati in the non-smoking section! I wanna run naked through the street, with green Jell-O all over my body, reading Playboy magazine. Why? Because I suddenly may feel the need to, okay, pal? I've SEEN the future. That is correct but you dont to make posts based on economic data that is true, you would rather just make uninformed and sweeping statements like " the EU hasnt worked out well for any country except for Germany " ...much easier to spread the populist and " down with EU " sentiment  :teehee:

Don't get me wrong, I am in favor of EU as economic union and borderless country for people within, but I don't agree with regulations and laws outside of this sphere of influence.
