Bit odd as I didn't reference ME at all in the post mentioning tedium. ME did have an issue collecting ridiculous amounts of crap, but it was nice to change weapons every so often. ME3 was the sweet spot in that regard.

Gotta love that part where the entire group leaves the ship for no reason at all so Joker can play the hero. At least you can insult him afterwards.

The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.

Oxenfree. I don't know about this one. I want to know what happens, but I am bored at the same time.

Could not get into that one at all. So many people praised the "natural dialogue" but I just thought it was extremely... boring. And not in a "we're building up the suspense" way, just plain old boring.

I'm gonna play it until the end, but I don't see myself disagreeing with you. It hasn't been anything special so far. I guess I give them a thumb up for effort.

I beat the game. The voice acting was supposed to be natural but felt very forced. I kind of liked the idea of the story, but it didn't do much for me. All in all, I don't get the hype for this.

Well, got Thane, Jacob, Tali, Jack, Legion in coffins. Not too shabby.

I'm 40 hours into Mad Max now.  I could start the final mission at any time, but I'm holding off to finish getting all the upgrades for the Magnum Opus.  I basically just need to finish upgrading the V8 and the Thunderpoon and I'll have the car maxed out (pun intended).  I also want to get all the territories to threat level 0 before starting the final mission.  Jeet's lands are already at 0 and no one else's are above 1, so there isn't that much to do.  The timing is pretty perfect.  Tyranny will be out within a day or two of when I will likely be done with Mad Max.

Finished Corpse Party.

It ends with some unresolved plots and no PC port of the sequels. That's disappointing. I'd still consider getting them if my backlog wasn't huge already, because it got pretty good towards the end there.

Done with the puzzle box quest in Morrowind. Now the game begins for real.

In Digital Devil Saga, steady progress is being made. I think I'm have 1/3 left of the game.

A bit of Final Fantasy VI, I don't remember it being this easy before. It probably was, though.

And a bit of Fallout 4, checking out the Vault-Tec Workshop. Got some interesting ideas in there, but the lighting is really bad. All placeable lights are basically bright spotlights. You end up having to put lights everywhere so the lighting isn't spotty, it's silly. When it was outdoors the lighting worked because of ambient light in daytime. Everything got real dark at night, but that sort of fit the mood. But now we're dealing with a vault, where all the clean vaults were naturally fully lit. And it's more annoying because all the placeable lights don't fit to the ceilings well, leaving a gap.

Still trying to figure out my layout, though.

I can't get enough of breaking Yennefer's heart at the end of "The Last Wish" quest.  It's like the Simpsons' episode where Bart shows Lisa the slow motion video of Ralph's heart breaking.  Except I didn't feel bad like Lisa did.

Crookz looks like it'll be a fun puzzle game. Early days, but does remind me of Commandos in terms of avoiding patrols, etc.

The classic mode in Modern Warfare Remastered multiplayer is so awesome! No classes or anything, just weapon pick-ups and skill. :)

To bad people don't play it as often as they play Team Deathmatch.

There used to be a signature here, a really cool one...and now it's gone.

Tedious is my biggest complaint about ME1, not ME2. Have I mentioned just how much I hate the Mako today?

I've never got the hate the Mako explorations got.

Then again, everytime I played ME1 and was in the MAKO I kept humming the Moon Patrol theme to myself...so maybe that's it?

I don't get that hate for Mako missions neither. I quite liked it

I'm the enemy, 'cause I like to think, I like to read. I'm into freedom of speech, and freedom of choice. I'm the kinda guy that likes to sit in a greasy spoon and wonder, "Gee, should I have the T-bone steak or the jumbo rack of barbecue ribs with the side-order of gravy fries?" I want high cholesterol! I wanna eat bacon, and butter, and buckets of cheese, okay?! I wanna smoke a Cuban cigar the size of Cincinnati in the non-smoking section! I wanna run naked through the street, with green Jell-O all over my body, reading Playboy magazine. Why? Because I suddenly may feel the need to, okay, pal? I've SEEN the future. Then again, everytime I played ME1 and was in the MAKO I kept humming the Moon Patrol theme to myself...so maybe that's it?

I mean...it's not really too hard to figure out. I think the idea is pretty neat, but even in your first playthrough, so much of it is pretty clearly just copy and paste content, and what's not copy and paste content is just seemingly randomly generated landforms that are a pain in the butt to traverse. All the little compounds you enter with random enemies in them, all the stupid extreme inclines that the Mako constantly fails to get up or go around, the random landmarks you're supposed to find that never really amount to anything...and goodness gracious, the entire process is so slow. I can't imagine going through them on a console: even using Cheat Engine to go up to 5x and sometimes 10x speed, it was still a bit tedious.

Weirdly enough, I still do have fond memories of it, because it's such a cool idea, and there is definitely a certain charm to it...buuut I would've rather they made less planets you could explore in exchange for better, more detailed, and more-fun-to-explore planets.

I've done it everytime I've done ME1 on console, which was quite a few.

Then again, I'm one of those guys who tried to completely mow the fog of war in the IE games, and the copy-pasting content in DA2 didn't bother me, so I may just have a high tolerance level for the flaws in the MAKO implementation.

It's the fact that I'm also a super completionist that makes it so annoying: doing every single planet, discovering every landmark is just a rather miserable experience. For the IE games, I have a console command memorized: CLUAConsole:ExploreArea(). I don't like it when games penalize me for exploring everything completely, and that's the way it certainly felt in Mass Effect.
