Lexx Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 (edited) Just saw Horns. Totally forgot this movie existed. Pretty good one, I think. At least one of the few movies I've seen lately that didn't made me want to stop after seeing the first half. Rosbjerg Posted December 10, 2015 Author Posted December 10, 2015 Just saw Horns. Totally forgot this movie existed. Pretty good one, I think. At least one of the few movies I've seen lately that didn't made me want to stop after seeing the first half. The ending was weird though, I had to look it up to see if they had diverted from the book, because it just felt so out of place. Turns out the did of course. Don't know why screenplay writers have a tendency to do that, it often destroys the flow of the narrative because they will reinterpret a central theme at the end, instead of building it up. Fortune favors the bald.
Lexx Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Yeah, didn't really liked the ending that much. It did felt a bit weird compared to the rest of the movie. "only when you no-life you can exist forever, because what does not live cannot die."
kirottu Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 The mermaid picture bit is absolute gold. Note: You have to turn the english subtitles on. This post is not to be enjoyed, discussed, or referenced on company time.
Amentep Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 (edited) Okay...this could be fun. Gromnir Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 X-Men Apocalypse Trailer: that was mildly terrible. HA! Good Fun! "If there be time to expose through discussion the falsehood and fallacies, to avert the evil by the processes of education, the remedy to be applied is more speech, not enforced silence."Justice Louis Brandeis, Concurring, Whitney v. California, 274 U.S. 357 (1927) "Im indifferent to almost any murder as long as it doesn't affect me or mine."--Gfted1 (September 30, 2019)
Oerwinde Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 I kept judging Apocalypse's voice against the one from the 90s cartoon. Did not come out well. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.
majestic Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 This has the potential to be worse than the Wolverine spin-off movies. Quite an achievement. No mind to think. No will to break. No voice to cry suffering.
Hurlshort Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Ok, Wolverine in Japan was good fun, so what-evs. Apocalypse is one of my favorite characters, so I'm hoping this turns out decent.
Blarghagh Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 The plot feels a lot like the plot to X2, what with a mind controlling mutant forcing Xavier to use Cerebro to affect all Mutants? It's control and not kill this time, but still...
Volourn Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Looks fantastic but I'm bias b/c I'm seeing this because of GAME OF THRONES TURNS MUTANT. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
Sarex Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Watched Donnie Darko great movie, although I kind of dislike that Donnie died in the end, but hey that's me, I'm a sucker for a happy ending. 1 "because they filled mommy with enough mythic power to become a demi-god" - KP
HoonDing Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 I'm still confusing that one with Donnie Brasco. The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.
Woldan Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 (edited) Just saw Joan of Arc, (year 2000 with Milla Jovovich). Actually pretty good, what surprised me the most about this film were the excellent costumes, armors and combat scenes. Felt really good. Also they managed to make her visions and her ''Jesus'' pretty unsettling on many levels. Oh, and Milla was sooooooo damn hot in it. Edited December 13, 2015 by Woldan 1 I gazed at the dead, and for one dark moment I saw a banquet.
ShadySands Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 (edited) Reposting because the first 2 got taken down by Fox. Dunno why they're so touchy about a trailer Edited December 13, 2015 by ShadySands 7 Free games updated 3/4/21
HoonDing Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 The aliens are really Muslims. The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.
Hurlshort Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Reposting because the first 2 got taken down by Fox. Dunno why they're so touchy about a trailer. I hope they keep it a bit whimsical.
Raithe Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Well to go with that, there's also the http://www.warof1996.com/ website. Malcador Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Well, teased me to not bother with it - though all the newer ones have done that pretty well. Shame they didn't use Intergalactic, though. GhoulishVisage Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 2 Star, 2 Trek. 1 When in doubt, blame the elves. I have always hated the word "censorship", I prefer seeing it as just removing content that isn't suitable or is considered offensive

I dunno, its a teaser; I'll reserve judgement for the proper trailer. That said, I did laugh at the McCoy and Spock surrounded bit. I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that?
