I appreciate Platinum Games' dedication to sheer lunacy. They just go completely over the top ridiculous in the pursuit of goofy fun and don't try to pretend to be even making an attempt for any sort of gritty realism, even though gritty realism is all the rage these days. Sucks that Bayonetta 2 won't be appearing on any other platforms, but the game wouldn't have been made at all if Nintendo hadn't stepped in, so you can't blame them for making it an exclusive. Animations are much better now (ragdolls look cool), the levels seem more diverse and more open than in previous games and swimming is back. Maybe Risen 4 will have both climbing and diving back? Not through any fault of the game, but I got distracted, and as it so often tends to happen, a big enough lapse in time in the middle of playing a game leads to difficulty in going back to it.
