Lioness Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I am unsure if the class/races constitute spoilers, using this sub-forum to be safe. Polls attached. Apologies for merging rogues and rangers,... forum only allows 10 choices for poll questions. Nb: Votes are public.
Silent Winter Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Voted Orlan Druid, just because it'll be one I play at some point - I don't have a 'main' though as I'll likely play several times with various class/race combos. Human rogue, Aumaua Monk, Elf Cipher, Dwarf Ranger ... they all sound good 1 _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ *Casts Nature's Terror* , *Casts Firebug* , *Casts Rot-Skulls* , *Casts Garden of Life* *Spirit-shifts to cat form*
Dark Elf Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Human Cipher or Wizard. Nothing like donning a robe and psyching the hell out of my enemies whilst I stroke my beard. Terra-Arcanum - the world of Troika Games
Jarmo Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 (edited) Probably a human fighter. Rogue and Wizard are also possible choices, depending on stuff we're yet to find out. (can I make how effective spellsword battlemage, how fightery rogue can you make) Other races and the exotic classes are for potential replays. The first time I play, I'll be the nice hero, up front and center. Edited January 7, 2014 by Jarmo
Blarghagh Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Same as Jarmo. I generally leave the exotic choices out of it on my first playthrough and discover the world through a mundane surrogate. I voted human fighter, but it might be human rogue.
Night Stalker Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 A grumpy Elven Cipher. That ought to be fun.
MasterPrudent Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 (edited) I picked an Aumaua fighter. Aumaua because I like the idea of playing as a race that comes without baggage/expectations created by other fiction; a fighter because I want to play with the obsidian created companions but I also like the idea of having two fighters so that I can really lock down choke points with defender mode. I am kind of tempted to go with a chanter though because the idea of creating spells by building phrases sounds very, very cool. Edited January 7, 2014 by MasterPrudent 2
Labadal Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Human monk on my first run. Orlan cipher on my second run.

PrimeJunta Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Upper-class white, of course. That's the easiest setting; I'll work my way up from there. 7 I have a project. It's a tabletop RPG. It's free. It's a work in progress. Find it here: www.brikoleur.com
ReyVagabond Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I think its a close call of Human Barbarian or Fighter depending on the game rules. I love Melee fighters and ill go with my gut on barbarian.
Mendosa Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Whenever it's available, I roll Human Paladin in any game I can. My "alt" is almost always a caster with whatever race suits the class best.
forgottenlor Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I like playing a utility character, So I'm guessing I'll go with a chanter, cipher or druid (I'll know for sure once I'm sure of the mechanics, though right now I'm tending chanter). I'll look at the character portraits and which race synergizes with my class choice and go with that. I'm tending towards Godlike. I doubt highly that I'll play an elf.
CottonWolf Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 (edited) Definitely an Aumaua Godlike cipher the first time through, then either a druid or a chanter after that. Edited January 7, 2014 by CottonWolf
Gfted1 Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 My main used to be Paladin but in PE they are simply buffbots so that sounds boring. Ill probably play my second choice of Wizard but the limited spell selection doesn't thrill me either. Meh, there isn't any one class that really excites me. 1 "I'm your biggest fan, Ill follow you until you love me, Papa"
JFSOCC Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Human Rogue or Human Godlike Rogue. Remember: Argue the point, not the person. Remain polite and constructive. Friendly forums have friendly debate. There's no shame in being wrong. If you don't have something to add, don't post for the sake of it. And don't be afraid to post thoughts you are uncertain about, that's what discussion is for.---Pet threads, everyone has them. I love imagining Gods, Monsters, Factions and Weapons.
Lephys Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 (edited) Godlike Elven Wizard. Hmmm... or maybe Orlan. All the races are so unexpectedly appealing. I definitely wanna give godlike a go, though, whatever my race, and I'll definitely be a Wizard. Edited January 8, 2014 by Lephys Should we not start with some Ipelagos, or at least some Greater Ipelagos, before tackling a named Arch Ipelago? 6_u
Karkarov Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 A rogue and Ranger are two different answers, why are they the same choice on the poll? 3
Lephys Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 A rogue and Ranger are two different answers, why are they the same choice on the poll? Good question. Also, "godlike" should be like a separate modifier for race, since it's not a unique race, but rather a subset of all other races. For instance, you can be a godlike Aumaua, a godlike Orlan, a godlike Human, etc. 3 Should we not start with some Ipelagos, or at least some Greater Ipelagos, before tackling a named Arch Ipelago? 6_u

nikolokolus Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 "Hither came Conan the Cimmerian, black-haired, sullen-eyed ..." You get the picture I'm sure. 3
WotanAnubis Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 I'm going to be rolling as a Druid first. Race I'm not entirely sure of yet, but I'm leaning towards Godlike in the hopes that might get me some neat roleplaying opportunities.
TMZuk Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 (edited) No idea. I lack the ability to make a warrior priest, usually my favourite class combo in any setting, due to the silly decision to not allow dual- and multi-classing. Possibly a fighter or a priest. Then hope for a quick mod to change that strange restriction. Since paladins are usually associated with law abiding do-gooders that is not an option. Edited January 8, 2014 by TMZuk
