...wonder if'n I can transfer me Vagrant Story savegames to the PS4??...:p

...WHO LUVSYA, BABY!!...

A long, long time ago, but I can still remember,
How the Trolling used to make me smile.
And I knew if I had my chance, I could egg on a few Trolls to "dance",
And maybe we'd be happy for a while.
But then Krackhead left and so did Klown;
Volo and Turnip were banned, Mystake got run out o' town.
Bad news on the Front Page,
BIOweenia said goodbye in a heated rage.
I can't remember if I cried
When I heard that TORN was recently fried,
But sadness touched me deep inside,
The day...Black Isle died.

For tarna, Visc, an' the rest o' the ol' Islanders that fell along the way

that origin news, being able to refund a game within 24 hours of launching it..... thats really cool

and im an origin hater

so yeah, good on them, it will make me feel less annoyed in the future taking a risk on an ea game (i wish they had made this possible a long time ago, i would have been so ready to refund ME3 within 24 hours of starting it, that game sucked)

Killing is kind of like playin' a basketball game. I am there. and the other player is there. and it's just the two of us. and I put the other player's body in my van. and I am the winner. - Nice Pete.

While I of course will say good riddance to GFWL, I do have the odd game that required it. I wonder how that will work out.

Didn't Fallout 3 (Beths FO3, not FO:NV) require that abomination too? I seem to remember that was one of two major reasons I never reinstalled it (despite having the big box of all things FO3 with the DLC's).

They can't remove Little Lamplight (the other major reason I never reinstalled), but if they release a patch that removes the first horror, I might one day in a distant future reinstall and complete the game.

Good news is that for the developers of good multiplayer titles that use GFWL as its online framework, such as Dark Souls, have plenty of time to make a switch to another online services such as Steamworks, as the shut-down comes in nearly a year's time.

Bad news is they in all likelihood don't see the point of doing it.

“Political philosophers have often pointed out that in wartime, the citizen, the male citizen at least, loses one of his most basic rights, his right to life; and this has been true ever since the French Revolution and the invention of conscription, now an almost universally accepted principle. But these same philosophers have rarely noted that the citizen in question simultaneously loses another right, one just as basic and perhaps even more vital for his conception of himself as a civilized human being: the right not to kill.”

"The chancellor, the late chancellor, was only partly correct. He was obsolete. But so is the State, the entity he worshipped. Any state, entity, or ideology becomes obsolete when it stockpiles the wrong weapons: when it captures territories, but not minds; when it enslaves millions, but convinces nobody. When it is naked, yet puts on armor and calls it faith, while in the Eyes of God it has no faith at all. Any state, any entity, any ideology that fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of Man...that state is obsolete."

And something on XCOM : Enemy Within

The new resource gathering bit of XCOM is the only real negative I'm drawing from it now. Unless it's a tactically useful thing, it sounds like simple busywork.

Looked a bit at the Sims 4 coverage, and it does look quite a bit more intuitive than the mess that was controlling its predecessor, but I guess hoping for pure autonomy, which would have really sold the game to me, was probably wishful thinking.

Day 1 purchase. Unless its $20 or something.

I'm expecting it to be free with recurring microtransactions.
