Labadal Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Went for a long walk when I woke up. Went for another one at !8.30. Then lifted some weights when I got home. Sitting and staring at the computer screen all day won't do.

Tale Posted July 3, 2013 Author Posted July 3, 2013 I also learned yesterday that I am absolutely awful at swimming. Was good when young, but I haven't been in so long that I was just flopping around in water. But it was good exercise for me, so I'll do it again today. ShadySands Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Watched a little Wimbeldon, drank a little too much, did a little dance, made a little love, got down tonight Now marinating some meat for tomorrow and drinking some bourbon root beer while watching fireworks from the balcony Happy birthday America! 3 Free games updated 3/4/21
LadyCrimson Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 (edited) Bourbon root beer? As in, bourbon in root beer? I don't think root beer as a mixer would have ever occurred to me.I haven't had a margarita in a while. I should make some tomorrow. P.S. - downloading a game, which always makes me think about how no matter how fast your internet speed is, it's never fast enough. Edited July 4, 2013 by LadyCrimson “Things are as they are. Nepenthe Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Had my starting at work medical today (just ~4 months late). It was... surprisingly enjoyable, I've now added tattooed nurses to my earlier list of tattooed lawyers and economists as females of particular interest. 1 You're a cheery wee bugger, Nep. Have I ever said that? Reapercussions
Guard Dog Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Watched a little Wimbeldon, drank a little too much, did a little dance, made a little love, got down tonight Now marinating some meat for tomorrow and drinking some bourbon root beer while watching fireworks from the balcony Happy birthday America! Now THAT's a good day! Except for the root beer part. "While it is true you learn with age, the down side is what you often learn is what a damn fool you were before" Thomas Sowell
Guard Dog Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 (edited) Got home late, slept late, drinking coffee now and getting ready to fire up Skyrim. I just started it for the first time yesterday. So far it's just about the best game ever. Going over to GF's apartment later for dinner & fireworks. Life is good! Calax Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Assembling a "get back into school" packet. I have until the 12th to finish it and really the only piece I need is for my academic advisor to help me put together a "graduation plan" BS and sign it off. Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.
Walsingham Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Found out a friend of mine is going to get evicted. Literally ran over to see him and agreed to pay his rent arrears (1 month) as a gift. The whole time I was thinking I should be more rational. It's not like I've got money coming out the wazoo. But then I thought "But then I'd be the kind of **** who lets his mates become homeless." Then I realised that actually it's less risky paying his rent than letting him kip at mine and possibly winding up on the couch for months. Can't work out if this makes me an arsehole after all... He hasn't said yes, yet, because he wants to sort it himself. But if he does we agreed he could help me out with some DIY to 'pay' it back. 4 "It wasn't lies. PK htiw klaw eriF Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 I made a large pot of chili and wrapped good hotdogs(from a meat market, not the crap you get from a supermarket) in bacon, which I intend to grill with some burgers. Made a 2 cookie cakes last night and am going to stack them and frost with cream cheese frosting. Currently drinking a nice stout and about to fire up BGT. LadyCrimson Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Store run, then maybe some gaming with the spouse, then probably bad TV whilst comforting the kitties who will be freaking out from all the noise poppers. Might walk to the corner of the street to watch the city fireworks, too. Can mostly see them from there, without having to go anywhere. Which is cool. “Things are as they are. Woldan Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 (edited) Tested one of my rifle reloads for pressure signs, some little cratering on the primer but everything else seems to be fine, no primer flattening, no excessive case neck growth, no base bulging, no swelling from the extractor pocket, easy bolt lift and case extraction, no primer pocket swelling, no signs of gas leakage. My guess is its pretty much at the max SAAMI pressure limit. Like all my reloads for my rifles, low power ammo is boring. Edited July 5, 2013 by Woldan I gazed at the dead, and for one dark moment I saw a banquet.
LadyCrimson Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Low power anything tends to be unexciting. Go for broke, I say. Unless you're like Tim the Toolman. Then it might not be such a good idea. The neighbors this year went for broke with the illegal fireworks. Saw big ones popping up from a few blocks away while standing in the backyard, lots of fizzy noises, lots of huge bangs that drove my cat under the couch for hours. Usually it's just some occasional noise pops...kinda nuts. “Things are as they are.
