LadyCrimson
Just as soon as I find that missing catnip rucksack where I hid my spare rainy-day buyout funds in. melkathi
Yeah. My cat would probably say "Franchise? Who needs a franchise? Rosbjerg
The highest listed is the Atari Brand for 15million btw and that is actually cheap for MoO.. Hope some good studio scoops it up. No one probably gonna touch Annihilation though, not with the new game out? Fortune favors the bald.
Labadal
Australia protects youngsters from corruption again, despite new R18 rating. Saints Row IV banned for rewarding alien drug use and, uh, probes of a posterior persuasion. The same is happening to State of Decay.
mkreku
Test Drive! I absolutely loved Test Drive Unlimited. Can't some big studio pick it up (Ubi, I'm looking at you) and just add that final little polish that would bring it from good to great? Never liked the sequel as much, but I think that's because of expectations. Everyone expected the kinks to have been ironed out from the first part.. but they weren't. Instead they had managed to add new ones. 1 Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!

Never liked the sequel as much, but I think that's because of expectations. Everyone expected the kinks to have been ironed out from the first part.. but they weren't. Instead they had managed to add new ones. I really loved TDU, but when they did TDU2 they streamlined it straigt down to arcade and then kept going for a little bit. They did'nt even have steering wheel support, and I don't think they've patched it in either. I would love to have another proper game in the franchise, good driving and big world. The world was the only thing they got right in TDU2. Civilization, in fact, grows more and more maudlin and hysterical; especially under democracy it tends to degenerate into a mere combat of crazes; the whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary. - H.L. Zoraptor
man-eating sheep That's us, not Aussie. There's a documentary on the subject called 'Black Sheep'. Australia may have an R18 classification now but it seems to be pretty much exactly the same practically as the old MA15- and due to the way most distribution is handled we get saddled with their classification or lack of it as well. melkathi
Aussie government should spend less time protecting their people from games and more time implementing anti-dropbear measures. Dropbear attacks are steadily rising, if they don't do something fast, there'll be a full blown dropbear apocalypse. Keyrock
Aussies will still get SR4, just without the alien anal probe: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-06-26-saints-row-4-banned-in-australia-for-including-alien-anal-probe Bonkers open world adventure Saints Row 4 will not see an Australian release in its current form due to the inclusion of an "Alien Anal Probe" weapon. The extraterrestrial device fell foul of censors at the Aussie Classification Board, Kotaku reported. Its depiction in Saints Row 4 implied sexual violence that was "not justified by context", the ACB report stated: "The game includes a weapon referred to by the Applicant as an 'Alien Anal Probe'. The Applicant states that this weapon can be 'shoved into enemy's backsides'. The lower half of the weapon resembles a sword hilt and the upper part contains prong-like appendages which circle around what appears to be a large **** which runs down the centre of the weapon. "When using this weapon the player approaches a (clothed) victim from behind and thrusts the weapon between the victim's legs and then lifts them off the ground before pulling a trigger which launches the victim into the air. After the probe has been implicitly inserted into the victim's anus the area around their buttocks becomes pixelated highlighting that the aim of the weapon is to penetrate the victim's anus. "The weapon can be used during gameplay on enemy characters or civilians. In the Board's opinion, a weapon designed to penetrate the anus of enemy characters and civilians constitutes a visual depiction of implied sexual violence that is interactive and not justified by context and as such the game should be Refused Classification." Saints Row 4 also includes an optional mission involving "alien narcotics", the ACB noted. Smoking these drugs grants "superpowers", something which the Board also looked upon disapprovingly. The game is the second title in as many days to recieve a ban in Australia. Xbox Live Arcade success State of Decay will also not be released there in its current form, due its inclusion of real world narcotics as medication. "We are still planning on releasing Saints Row 4 in Australia and we hope to have more news on that front soon," Volition wrote on its official Twitter account. Here in 'Murica, I'll be probing the **** out of everybody in SR4. I really think how MoMX does will probably be the real test case; the Kickstarters - while successful - by their funding nature might make it an attractive but unsure area to dabble in. If MoMX does boffo, I think that added with the Kickstarter success, then yeah I could see more publishers looking at smaller budget but strong-selling niche games. 1 I cannot - yet I must.
