What you did today

Man.. crazy party last night, Depeche Mode played in town so everywhere was swarming with 30+ year old desperate women. My buddy luckily kept me out of the worst of it, there was a few close calls haha..

Now I'm tending a good hangover, lying in the sun and listening to "The Power Of Now" by Ekhart Tolle. Awesome..

But what I love most is that he sounds exactly like this guy. Deconstruction of self and ego is just a little better "wen dun wit a Gjerman accent"

I study History and had my last exam for the semester last friday.. I've been trying to get a part time job for a year now, but it's neigh impossible.

Nice life :) But if I'm being honest  my life is pretty good as well 8)

If you don't mind me asking how do survive for money if you don't even work part time? Do your parents help out?

I live in a socialist paradise remember.. Every student in Denmark who's 18+ and doesn't live with their parent gets 1500$ every month for a maximum of 6 years.

and there's no tuition either, so money is not really a problem.

Holy Smoke, that's really sweeeeeeeeet. Do you know that's about 6 times more than the salary of about 75% of the South African population

You guys truly live in a paradise :)

Lol its 3.375 x minimal salary in my country. I working for 4 years in IT and dont have such salary xD and I am from EU! Now I know where our money goes :)

I'm the enemy, 'cause I like to think, I like to read. I'm into freedom of speech, and freedom of choice. I'm the kinda guy that likes to sit in a greasy spoon and wonder, "Gee, should I have the T-bone steak or the jumbo rack of barbecue ribs with the side-order of gravy fries?" I want high cholesterol! I wanna eat bacon, and butter, and buckets of cheese, okay?! I wanna smoke a Cuban cigar the size of Cincinnati in the non-smoking section! I wanna run naked through the street, with green Jell-O all over my body, reading Playboy magazine. Why? Because I suddenly may feel the need to, okay, pal? I've SEEN the future. Do you know what it is? It's a 47-year-old virgin sitting around in his beige pajamas, drinking a banana-broccoli shake, singing "I'm an Oscar Meyer Wiene"

No tuition based on any conditions or just free university for all ? Sounds pretty good, though

I got my first electric bill since installing the solar panels. Based on past history I'm estimating they are saving me a little more than $60 a month. No too shabby. With Cold Creek right next to my house and a stream that feeds it actually on my property if I could figure out how to make a water turned turbine I could tell MPO to piss off for good!

On another note I picked two 1 gal buckets worth of strawberries and a hamper full of summer squash from my garden today. It might be my imagination but I think it tastes better from the stuff that comes from Kroger.

My dad plants tomatoes and gives me some of the extras - they always taste better than anything you find in the store (to be more specific, they actually *have* a taste, which most store bought tomatoes don't have).

I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that? At what point on the graph do "must" and "cannot" meet? Yet I must - but I cannot! ~ Ro-Man

Every government approved school is free at any level for everyone. Even multiple ones, I can take as many degrees as I want..

The only school not approved are some of the more radical art schools etc.

Well you have to remember that taxes range from 30% to almost 60% (and on top of that a 25% VAT). So things are expensive here and the government takes a pretty huge part of your paycheck to pay for free education and healthcare etc.

But he is neglecting to mention all students who use this government program have to walk around during the day wearing a Viking helmet. Its something to do with them having to prove they patriotic?

Well, I guess your sugar momma is the Danish taxpayer.

I was advocating some good honest booty shaking for coin. But I guess that's too old school.

Wow that is pretty cool, I had thought they'd allow it to be free as long as you're not failing horribly - sort of like a scholarship or something.

Pity you live in Canada hey Malc but at least Canada is the land of the " Moose and the Caribou"

That's better than free education. Ask Ros the last time he saw a Moose?

Watched Man of Steel. I was looking forward to it, but it was surprisingly underwhelming. The pacing felt all over the place, and I was actually nodding off during the latter half because it was just one long fight scene with the same stuff happening over and over again.

Did some more of my new job. Need to buy 2 to three pairs of comfortable pants.

Got my first training day done, and am doing a proper "Run" next weekend. That might be in one of the minibusses instead of the actual van.

Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition!

Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.

This is what would happen if I saw a moose.

Civilization, in fact, grows more and more maudlin and hysterical; especially under democracy it tends to degenerate into a mere combat of crazes; the whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary. - H.L. Farmed for runestones in NW:Online off and on for a few hours. Sat outside in the sun. Did some joint stress/strength exercises (so boring...). Watched hubby try to take a broken Kindle apart (someone at his office was going to toss it)...he likes to see how things work, or if maybe he could fix them. He's like a little kid taking apart his parents phone, sometimes.

Now off to make some supper and then maybe find a movie to watch.
