Do you have Keldorn in your party? That would be one reason IIRC. When the PE Kickstarter began, I got an itch to play an IE game again and went with BG2. Re-installed it, but just off the disc with no add-ons or patches. I've completed Super Mario Brothers, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Super Meat Boy, but while this game has check points (which you can miss quite easily) it can be harder, especially with mechanics that aren't intuitive at all. I should probably use the right analogue stick to look around but I'm too busy speeding through the levels.The game doesn't look quite as good as Trine 2 but it's pretty. Can anyone here tell me what made the first version such a poor-to-average game, and made the current one actually quite good? Remade is a bit too much. Rebalanced, yes. The game was a bit too level dependant. Some skills were too powerful and other mostly useless. They also made mind reading more interesting at the end of the game (in exchange of having to search every place of the huge fortresses areas to find the one piece of equipment you missed from your set of armor). They also removed some permanent anti dragon protections because the fjords were a bit too painful to fly in. Larian put a lot of time in it to coorect a lot of small details. And the expansion is pretty good too. A real extension and not some DLC. The only weak point for me is the last fight of the expansion. I think the "girlfriend mode" gaffe was just viral marketing, because Gaige has by far the most complex and nuanced skill trees of any character in BL2.
