Morgoth
The death march: the problem of crunch time in game development (via tweets by OEI sr. programmer Erik Novales and OEI tech artist Jean-Eric Khalife) That's what you get when you live in a frakking 3rd world country. Any decent modern society has job security to the point where firing someone for not working overtime would render them liable to pay compensation due to illegal termination of employment. If you happen to live in a such country and are tired of taking it up the arse then get organized, that's exactly what unions are for. Hmm, interesting take. Indeed, I see still a lot of movie directos and screenwriters in their late 70s, while I doubt you will see people the same age working as a texture artists or prop modeler in the game industry. I have done my share of art in the past myself (only self-interest) and I know how painstaking and laborious it can be to do grunt work, as opposed, to say level design, which I found (at least in the old UT/Quake 3 days) very rewarding and exciting. Well, the processes have changed a lot since then. Rain makes everything better.

All I can say is that even in Finland, everything is not that rosy when it comes to overtime. It's more related to unions than anything else. You're a cheery wee bugger, Nep. Have I ever said that? Morgoth
Never got into the Hitman games. Not because they were too hard, but because they simply sucked. Rain makes everything better.

Orogun01
New Hitman dumbed down (You know I hate the term, but when you are planning on making Hitman more accessible, there is no other word for it.) No no no, you are right accessible is code for dumb and casual. I would still wait to see how this plays out and if they finally fix their horrid issues with the AI. I'd say the answer to that question is kind of like the answer to "who's the sucker in this poker game?"* *If you can't tell, it's you.
Hell Kitty
I LOVE Blood Money and I really don't know what the supposedly inaccessible hardcore parts of it are, but then I'm a stealth fanboy so maybe I just don't have the right perspective.

So basically, they are not making a Hitman sequel. Mmh. There's basically two options here, they either make it a max payne to court the dudebros, or they go to hitman 2 and make it so that you can essentially go through all the levels shooting, you just get a worse rating. At least that's what I remember of the progression of the series, 3-4 were less forgiving in that sense. Still, I don't think the expression I used above has ever been more fitting (ok, maybe deus ex iw is close) than here. You're a cheery wee bugger, Nep. Have I ever said that?
