Hmmm Arma 2 75% off.

I thought about picking it up bit decided to wait. Likely a mistake given that it's off sale and might not go on again for awhile, but I can always pick up a physical copy Combined Operations at a discount -a quick search shows that it has already been marked down by $20 at some stores- and have an almost DRM free copy that's not tied to Steam (they got rid of the disc-check but FADE is likely still active). Plus I picked up Dragon Rising when it was $3 and so I'll get through co-op mode with that before I move on to a similar, although possibly slightly better -I've seen arguments on both sides-, title.

Well DR is a different genre than Arma, so no point comparing (DR does have tremendously sucky bits). I decided to just wait until Arrowhead is on sale and get it then.

Color me surprised, I certainly didn't know if it was.

Good opportunity to play Mask of the Betrayer for all the dirty heathens who still haven't...

Wait, did Steam even HAVE Neverwinter Nights 2 before today?!

Release Date: Dec 27, 2010

Nope! I'm going to have to buy me a second copy now.

That's cool for those that haven't basked in the glory that is Mask of the Betrayer I guess. This coupled with Neverwinter by Cryptic and the Hack & Slash very likely going to be a turd game means that Atari is trying to milk the franchise again I guess. Good for them, maybe Obsidian can take the opportunity and put out another D&D game!

Nice to see NWN2 finally on Steam.

I think it was in 2008 that Rob said on old nwn2 boards that Steam release was almost ready

No, release date is "today".

Pretty sure it didn't have ANY Atari games. Too bad it's just one step short of awesome and is not multiplatform. Still picked it up.

You're a cheery wee bugger, Nep. Have I ever said that?

It's $9.99 for NWN2 Platinum including MotB and SoZ today only, better hurry up. Keep in mind some of the more recent mods require both MotB and SoZ, as I painfully found out.

Had to pick up NWN2 from Steam as well just for SoZ because I haven't played it yet

Oh and those heretics that haven't played Mask of the Betrayer, go buy it now!

Edit: Seems NWN2 is doing great. #2 on top sellers list :sorcerer:

EVE for $5, worth a try. Although, probably the wrong crowd  . This and the trailer in theaters, odd how CCP is pushing this expansion, compared to others

I'd say the free 14-day trial(21 with an invite) is a better option for trying the game out.

Well, Flo, it's never been on Steam before, I wouldn't expect anything less.

I know, maybe in 2015 we will get Kotor2 on steam as well

One month does give you a better view on the game. Gives you a chance to get into a cruiser or get a good run of pvp (can start with RvB pretty damn early). Then again 14 days is free, so I guess that wins.

I liked EVE when I played it. I was a part of Goonfleet back when they still existed and were in SU. It was a good time, I liked the crowd.

I hated the PvP. Late night or all nighters. Couldn't stand that part of it. And that's when I quit, when we started moving everything into a war against the Russians.

Well, it usually takes me 2-3 days to realize that I don't want to play it, but I guess it's different for other people.

I'm surprised you even bothered to download it then, usually at that threshold people have left for obvious reasons. :)

I just need to convince myself that I don't in fact like EVE every now and then when I hear one of the awesome stories about someone getting betrayed or a giant bank scam.

One big thing I like about it is that there's only the one server. So, whenever you read about scams and wars, that's on the same server. It's like 'holy crap, I know those guys,' but all the time.

No, they were there - Riddick, The Witcher, etc. are all published by Atari. Still, it's nice that it's finally on Steam and I'm going to take advantage of the sale price to pick up a second copy for LANing. :p
