Sand Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 I will be getting it nonetheless, for at least completeness sake. Volourn Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 The greatest series ever created continues!!! YAYA! New subraces could (and SHOULD! dammnit!) include jungle dwarves, and artic dwarves!!!! Hopefully, while the expansion starts at low level you can eventually grow into epicness!!! DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
Zoma Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 I hope its just a level 15 epic at most. Otherwise, jumping to over 20 in a span of 15 hour gameplay feels so . . . I dunno. Rushed?
Tale Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Assuming you start at 1. "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."

Hopefully, while the expansion starts at low level you can eventually grow into epicness!!! What's with you and dwarves? While i am happy that there will be joinable NPCs with pre-made characteristics, i do wonder how this all will be balanced. More choice to the gamer, who would've known? Tigranes Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 I'd expect a mid-level campaign actually, something like level 8-10 to 15-17. I would be happy with that, too - remember SoA was ~7 to ~20 and it was much bigger. Epic would be nonsense. SteveThaiBinh Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 The greatest series ever created continues!!! YAYA! Seconded. I was 90% elated as I read through the thread, until I read this: Anthony Davis also posted that ... there will also be people you can recruit in the game world who will be characters with personalities. and I hit 100% over the moon! Zoma Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 All the mentionings of caravans. Makes me wonder if we will ever get ridable/humpable horses finally?
Tale Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 All the mentionings of caravans. Makes me wonder if we will ever get ridable/humpable horses finally? Playable Centaurs confirmed! "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."
Jaesun Posted June 9, 2008 Author Posted June 9, 2008 Will it have MotB like Choice and Consequences (and endings)???? Some of my Youtube Classic Roland MT-32 Video Game Music videos | My Music | My Photography
samm Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Companions named cohorts? That will join? Please no forced partymembers with inaccessible inventory! Thank you Storm of Zehir could be nice, but I'm not hyped really. Does anyone know anything about Zehir? A 4E god, apparently, and what else? Citizen of a country with a racist, hypocritical majority
Tale Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 He's a deity of the Yuan-Ti from what I can find. "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."

Monte Carlo Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Hmmm. Jungles. Baddies. Party building. Exploration. Buying and selling stuff. NPCs. I'm thinking Jagged Alliance 2 with swords and crossbows. Yay!
Meshugger Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 (edited) "Zehir, the serpentine deity of lies and darkness" Wait, what about a deity of innocent white lies? I demand an explanation! Magnum Opus Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 *sigh* You people are gonna force me to buy this game, aren't you? I promised myself that I was "done with NWN" after I felt I'd squeezed my money's worth out of that NWN1 OC, and NWN2 didn't do too much to change that opinion. MotB, on the other hand, looks like a game not to be missed by all accounts (or rather, all accounts that I trust), then MoW, and now this... Dang you, Obsidian. Now all you've got to do is stack 'em all up into one gargantumungous compilation. Bloody heck...
SteveThaiBinh Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 From the FAQ on the official forum: A: This is a new story with new characters, though some old faces might be seen, and some old story threads might be re-visited. Cameos, eh? (MotB spoilers: Please not Ammon Jerro again . I vote for Grobnar and Gann. I'd love to see Qara or Sand again, but I guess that's tricky since one or the other is dead. ) "An electric puddle is not what I need right now." (Nina Kalenkov)
Tale Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 I'd only want Ammon Jerro if they got the original VA back. "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."
Junai Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 (edited) Overland map and not complete railroading. Starts to sound like a crpg. I haven't played NWN2 since it was released. Will your characters still be insta-resurrected when they die, or healed in 5 seconds if they sit down on the sidewalk? Does Zehir come with some everlasting-ammo solution like the new Alpha game? How about the camera? Does it still jump back'n forth from max-zoom-in to max-zoom-out when you pass by buildings? If the reply to any of these questions is 'yes', I think I'll pass. J. Tale Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Of course he didn't. Does he seem the type of guy to enjoy fun or entertainment? That's totally not the vibe I'm getting at all. "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."
Xard Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Well yeah, I guess there's people in the world that are more cranky than me (though I've never been cranky with games, heh) That party member thing sounds good. It allows us to have our really own custom team and have written party members Obsidian is reverred for How can it be a no ob build. It has PROVEN effective.
