Sounds suicidal. Trying to punch out someone wearing power armor would seem unwise. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.

I think if you get the Bonus H-t-H Attakcs, Slayer, Better Criticals and Earlier Sequnce perks (not to mention a lot of action points), you can do quite a bit of damage. The Mega Powerfist counts as unarmed for some reason. “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. Notice how I can belittle your beliefs without calling you names. It's a useful skill to have particularly where you aren't allowed to call people names. It's a mistake to get too drawn in/worked up. I mean it's not life or death, it's just two guys posting their thoughts on a message board. If it were personal or face to face all the usual restraints would be in place, and we would never have reached this place in the first place. Try to remember that.
Slowtrain Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 I'm playing Oblivion, totally vanilla except for the DLC and official expansions plus a mod I made that slows leveling. After playing STALKER, I can say that Oblivion really is a sweet looking game, but it also feels empty, lonely, and pointless. WHich is my biggest fear in FO3. An enoty game where there is little point to anything. Notice how I can belittle your beliefs without calling you names. It seemed much more full of life.

LostStraw Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 Just finished up Final Fantasy 12. It's the first Final Fantasy game I've enjoyed playing since FF6 on the SNES. It gives me some hope that FF13 might turn out to be something that I like. It also has the best looking hair I've seen in a game yet -- amazing graphics for the antiquated PS2.

Daaave Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 I'm playing Pokemon Pearl on my shiny new DS. WILL THE ALMIGHTY Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 Phantom Hourglass I love this game. It playts nice, it looks nice, and it's a lot of fun. "Alright, I've been thinking. Hurlshort Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 Reached level 15 in Age of Conan as a Cimmerian Gaurdian. The first 20 levels are pretty much a single player experience, in fact originally it was designed as such. It's a pretty decently paced story experience. You don't reach the main world until level 20, although you do share the beginner area with others.

Starwars Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 Replaying the Harp & Crysanthemum mod for NWN2, this time with a Spirit Shaman. This mod is really something else if you ask me, very well crafted. It also makes me rather embarassed about my own attempts at areadesign in the NWN2 toolset. Listen to my home-made recordings (some original songs, some not): http://www.youtube.c...low=grid&view=0
WILL THE ALMIGHTY Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 Thinking of replaying through Halo 3 and Lost Planet... Halo 3, hell yes, but Lost planet, I'm not sure. It's fun, bu really damn hard on higher difficulties. In the meantime, Ace combat 6 is still entertaining (<3 F-15E). "Alright, I've been thinking. Hurlshort Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 So, do you think AoC is teh WoW killer? Care to share some more tidbits with us? I don't think they are really similiar enough to make an easy comparison. They are really tailored to very different audiences. Take the combat, aside from a raid, WoW has a fairly slow pace to the fighting. It's almost turn based, in essence, and you can strategize a few moves ahead pretty easily. Conan has more of an action RPG feel to it, and in some ways it's closer to a fighting game. You have three zones of attack, left, right and center. You choose which of these three to swing at depending on how your opponent is defending. But you also have combo moves to use, and you need to think about when to use what combo. You can also fake an opponent by hitting a few times from the left, having him reposition his defense, and then using a powerful combo on the right. It is fairly easy to pick it up in game, but it requires a greater concentration. Couple this with the fact that you are usually fighting two or more mobs, and you have a pretty frenetic fighting pace. The setting is also dramatically different. It's like comparing Harry Potter to George RR Martin's Fire and Ice series.
