Magister Lajciak Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Apparently, it's Dead Space: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/vie.../333-Dead-Space I haven't watched it yet, but I must say I was hoping for Fallout 3.
Nightshape Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 It will come. I came up with Crate 3.0 technology. Crate 4.0 - we shall just have to wait and see.Down and out on the Solomani RimNow the Spinward Marches don't look so GRIM!
Kaftan Barlast Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 The Dead Space was fun, and he does have several valid points for once. Calax Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 I think the reason we aren't seeing Fable 2 and Fallout 3 is because of the "ghettoization" of the australian gaming scene (his words) where months can go by between a release in america and a release in the outback. Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.

Poor Aussies! BTW: I think these kinds of staggered game releases also contribute to piracy.
WILL THE ALMIGHTY Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Valid points, but not exactly entertaining. "Alright, I've been thinking. When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade - make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons, what am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life's manager. Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons. Do you know who I am? I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down! With the lemons. I'm going to to get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!"
Meshugger Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 I think that these kinds of games, such as this one, where nothing is really bad or really good, is really his worst enemy. There's nothing in these games that tap into his rage or praise. "Some men see things as they are and say why?""I dream things that never were and say why not?"- George Bernard Shaw"Hope in reality is the worst of all evils because it prolongs the torments of man."- Friedrich Nietzsche "The amount of energy necessary to refute bull**** is an order of magnitude bigger than to produce it." - Some guy
Magister Lajciak Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Praise? What praise? He doesn't give praise!
mr insomniac Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Praise? What praise? He doesn't give praise! Read his review of the Orange Box, particularly Portal. I took this job because I thought you were just a legend. Just a story. A story to scare little kids. But you're the real deal. The demon who dares to challenge God. So what the hell do you want? Don't seem to me like you're out to make this stinkin' world a better place. Why you gotta kill all my men? Why you gotta kill me? Nothing personal. It's just revenge.

Nope, considering most games, including those two, are released here at roughly the same time as the rest of the world. It's actually extremely rare for games to be released months after the US, and it's generally due to a ban, such as with Dark Sector, which was released months later after content was cut.

Magister Lajciak Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Praise? What praise? He doesn't give praise! Read his review of the Orange Box, particularly Portal. Hmm, fair enough - I stand corrected!
Pop Posted November 12, 2008 Author Posted November 12, 2008 Fable 2 Join me, and we shall make Production Beards a reality!
Magister Lajciak Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Fable 2 Well, I am glad he didn't go mellow on Peter Molyneux!
Jaesun Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Not one of his better ones. He seemed quite un-inspired. Just like the game I guess. Some of my Youtube Classic Roland MT-32 Video Game Music videos | My Music | My Photography
Magister Lajciak Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Not one of his better ones. He seemed quite un-inspired. Just like the game I guess. Yeah, that's probably a correct assessment.
Hurlshort Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 The issue with this review is the fact that he's done it a couple times already. He doesn't like RPG's, and at its core that is what Fable 2 is. I still thought the review was entertaining though.
Rosbjerg Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 The funniest review he ever made was Assassins Creed imho.. My roomie had to check up on what the hell I was doing since I was laughing so hard. Fortune favors the bald.
Magister Lajciak Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Now I have to go and find the review for Assassin's Creed!
Calax Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 2 things all of Yhatzees reviews are linked from the basic page http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation at the bottom theres a page selector, assasins creed is on page 3 iirc. My personal favorite was the Medal of Honor: airborne review. Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.
WILL THE ALMIGHTY Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 My favorite was the Burnout Review. Also, Yahtzee does occasional podcasts at Australian Gamer. Check the podcast listings, the ones with Yahtzee are pretty entertaining. "Alright, I've been thinking. When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade - make life take the lemons back! Get mad!
