kanisatha Posted October 9, 2022 Posted October 9, 2022 Now that the network shows have premiered, any thoughts on new shows? I'm watching Quantum Leap (NBC) and Alaska Daily (ABC), but still on the fence about whether I want to keep watching. My only returning show is La Brea (NBC), so I need new shows to watch (that are not on streaming services).
InsaneCommander Posted October 10, 2022 Author Posted October 10, 2022 House of the Dragon 8 Quite an interesting episode. And people say everything so far was just "the prologue". Spoiler We almost had a happy end in the dinner scene. Alicent even "accepted" Rhaenyra as queen. But the Targaryen's short name list screwed everything up.
Raithe Posted October 10, 2022 Posted October 10, 2022 Hollywood Reporter - Quantum Leap scores additional episode order at NBC, getting six more episodes to season 1 1 "Cuius testiculos habeas, habeas cardia et cerebellum."

Peter Falk as Columbo was one of those shows I grew up with (because it made it to Danish television in the 70's and 80's) Edit: What was that other show they always showed back then... a guy starting with cutting up the corpses and then working his way backwards towards the crime and the perpetrator. Dr. Quincy I think it was called (in Danish TV) “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. majestic Posted October 12, 2022 Posted October 12, 2022 Question for anyone else who watches House of the Dragon, which probably is just @InsaneCommander at this point. Both Daemon and Rhaenyra are dragonriders. Why are they constantly using carriages and other means of transport? Show ran out of budget already, or what? Did the day for night shooting of last week's episode eat too much money? No mind to think. No will to break. No voice to cry suffering.

I mean, how many dragons are supposed to exist? Who is a rider? Rhaenys? Luke and Jace? Aemond went alone in the dragon pit and was scared by a big one. Does anyone ride it? Was he trying to bond it?
LadyCrimson Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 When I have a little spare time I've been making my way through the YouTube channel Dust, which features short sci-fi films, usually in the 6-12 min. range. Wouldn't surprise me if someone's mentioned it here before but it's a nice way to see both maybe some newer and some older ones you may have missed or never heard of (most of the time I never hear of/see short films). Some you may like, some may make you go "meh" but it's always interesting to browse 'em, when you're not in the mood for long time commitment. There was one for horror themed shorts as well but I forget the name of the channel... “Things are as they are.
