Bugged Wolf Companion Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 Hey Guys where do i find the giant ooze?
Boeroer Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 In the beta branch. Deadfire Community Patch: Nexus Mods
Boeroer Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 Or one Geomancer and nothing else. Only 184... with Body Blows + Weakened we are already at 149. Combusting Wounds will have an ACC of ~140 without any consumables or per rest stuff. That's doable. Did you know that the Shroud of Phantasm will create Illusions of your char AND of your animal companion? Having 7 Wolves and 7 Geomancers pummeling at a target with Combusting Wounds is quite funny. I will try that cape on the Itinerant I'm currently playing. It does copy weapons as well? Yes, it copies everything, even abilites it seems (otehr than Essential Phantom which "only" uses your items). I suddenly had them all summon Essential Phantoms one time. What a mess on the screen... DozingDragon Posted October 23, 2018 Author Posted October 23, 2018 Yes, it drops a Mythic Adra Stone and a new trinket. 1
Boeroer Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 (edited) Thanks for answer... It can be found on an island between Dunnage and Fort Deadlight. Edited October 23, 2018 by Boeroer Deadfire Community Patch: Nexus Mods
AndreaColombo Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 What does the new trinket do? If I wait until I beat the boss to find out, I may die in ignorance XD 1 "Time is not your enemy. house2fly Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 (edited) "The wielder merges with target Ally, granting them a huge bonus to both Power Level and Health, but removing the wielder from combat." I haven't looked at the associated status effects, but knowing Obsidian it's +1 power level and +10 health or something E: if you have the Necklace Of Unlocked Possibilities equipped when you use that summon copies ability on the cloak, each copy gets a random weapon, which isn't tactically useful but is a bit of fun Edited October 23, 2018 by house2fly 2
Boeroer Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 Yeah, better to summon Spirit Lance or Draining Touch and then summon the Living Illusions. Dual mortars is also kind of nice. Or dual blunderbuss once Combusting Wounds is up. Deadfire Community Patch: Nexus Mods

DozingDragon Posted October 23, 2018 Author Posted October 23, 2018 The effects are: Self: Invisible, Stunned, Untargetable for 12.0 seconds (base). Allied Target: +100 Max Health, +4 Power Levels for 12.0 seconds (base). 3
Kaylon Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 This boss splits in two Gigantic Oozes which will fusion again once they're low on hp, reforming the boss fully healed. This can repeat endlessly... Haven't found yet a reliable way to prevent the fusion. 1
Hulk'O'Saurus Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 Is it an ability that appears on top of them and has a winding up time?

thelee Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 Is it an ability that appears on top of them and has a winding up time? Yes. dumb thought (haven't tried it even once yet) - is it something where you have to physically lead one ooze away from the other to prevent them rejoining?
InsaneCommander Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 Interesting. Maybe use Embrace of the Earth Talon?
Kaylon Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 Interrupts will just delay the inevitable while stuns will do the same unless you can perma stun both oozes. The most reliable way to prevent their merging is to put enough distance between them. Summons and Stasis Shell are the only options for a solo to deal with this - that restricts greatly the classes who can solo this encounter (an inquisitor, herald or votary might have a chance). PS. I think his crits remove 10s from your active buffs.
AndreaColombo Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 I thought it was his AoE Corrode attack that cleared your buffs entirely? I could find nothing about it in the combat log but I found myself wondering where my buffs had gone. "Time is not your enemy. Hulk'O'Saurus Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 Maybe he has something akin to the Ranger's Concussive Tranquilizer? Sounds like it.

I could find nothing about it in the combat log but I found myself wondering where my buffs had gone. It just removes 10s, however I'm not sure if all his attacks can do this or just some of them - anyway the conclusion is you can't to tank him using active buffs...
