  1. I am confused. The OP doesn't like Trial of Iron because, being a grown up with lots of other commitments, he doesn't have the time to deal with perma death, but his complaint is that the game doesn't provide enough replayability? Does he plenty of free time or not?
  2. @Wormerine - the way I prepare spaghetti, and the type of sauce I make, that's not a problem.
  3. It's common here in the UK. I just don't get why. Knife and fork work well for me.
  4. Is that how Italians eat it, or non-Italians? I've always found that method bizarre and never use it.
  5. Yeah, sadly this is very much how I'm feeling at the moment too. In its current state it's quite likely I'll only play Deadfire through once for the story. The mechanical side of the game just isn't as appealing as Pillars for me.
  6. Yeah, I do sometimes wonder about how they go about this stuff. The armours were overpowered (now they're good at low levels but not particularly at higher ones) but they weren't bugged. Meanwhile the arbalest is bugged (or if it's not it's really bad), but for some reason it's ignored.
  7. Why not? I'd say it definitely will change. The only question is whether it'll change before the release, or change at some point down the line.
  8. Chanter or Paladin are probably the safest main character options (easiest triple crown solo) so probably the easiest triple crown parties too. I think every class could beat TCS (though some harder than others certainly) and that's definitely true of TCP(arty), though bad luck can always sink a run of course.
  9. Yes - either choose a weapon with dual damage types or accept the penalty when using a non-favoured weapon type. That's the downside of the class.
  10. Note that whilst I want all those things, I don't conclude from that that the subclass is ****ty: it just doesn't really fit what I'd hoped from it.
  11. Bah that sucks. I wonder if it still works for Nightshroud (though I only usually unlock Nightshroud out of habit: I've never used it seriously).
  12. I unlocked Nightshroud's first level by beating on one of my companions until I got 13 Blinds (making sure to rest before their completely died). Perhaps something similar would work with Spike Flinger?
  13. Posting from my desktop rather than my phone makes me realise Nail, as someone who has the Ultimate achievement, probably already knew that HoF was powerful
  14. Do you have Heart of Fury? That plus Dragon Leap and dual wielding will do huge damage to big groups of enemies if positioned correctly, and I believe Kaylon has a video showing him soloing the Alpine Dragon that way (he definitely solos Magran's Faithful that way).
  15. I'll say what I always say when people worry about missing attribute locked dialogue options: you're not missing much at all. Most of them elicit a single line of extra dialogue from the NPC your talking to followed by the default response, a few get you minor rewards (and I mean minor) and only perhaps two or three have significant content behind them. Of those, there is usually more than one attribute that can get you the extra content so maxing out all three isn't needed or desirable. My advice: go with a good attribute spread for your character and you'll probably have at least one of the mental attributes high enough to get what you want.
  16. I don't think the Goldpact Knights fight for whoever pays them the most. Their ideology is that a contract, once signed, is sacred and must be executed no matter what. In particular they won't betray an employer if someone else offers them more gold.
  17. Arguably the White March was one expansion split into two parts. Hopefully these the three planned DLCs will be similar, so that when you have them all they add up to a single meaty expansion rather than three separate mini expansions.
  18. Stronghold quest reward I believe, so a bit of luck is needed to get it.
