  1. I remember saying this in the past and only Gromnir kinda agreed. Glad I'm not the only one who gets this.
  2. What's wrong with Austria?
  3. Well can you ask them whats waiting after death? I need to know if I can go for the life of sin, followed by a presto-change-o deathbed repentance, or if it doesn't matter because theres nothing after death. All they'll remember is the euphoric state before death. They won't remember being dead.
  4. My life has been pretty boring after my crazy brother tried to kill me, and that's just the way I like it. Nice and boring. Video games and my own house; I'm in heaven.
  5. @Namutree: unfortunately, 2 year olds are a little squishier than teenagers... Hopefully they won't target the kids. Maybe each other?
  6. One of the parents literally died yesterday because of their lunacy...and so far, it doesn't seem to be having any effect upon them. If they had actually stayed dead, it would've made this situation a fair bit simpler...but alas, it seems it was not to be. My older brother had tried to kill himself only a few days before trying to kill me. His attempted suicide wasn't enough for anything to be done about his mental condition. It wasn't until he tried to kill others that action was finally taken. So again, those parents won't be dealt with until they start trying kill other people; at least that's my experience. With any luck they'll attempt to kill other people and fail like my brother did.
  7. No fun at all.
  8. My family are the black sheep and my brother WAS the uber black sheep among the black sheep. Basically my entire extended family (On my mother's side) are all very wealthy, successful, and well adjusted people. ONLY my mother is poor and kinda messed up. My older brother was unfortunate enough to have had a terrible childhood (mostly due to my monster of a father) and suffered from terrible mental illness that developed when he was 19. He became an alcoholic and was completely and hopelessly insane to the point of trying to kill me (the details of this attempt at my life are quite strange indeed). It actually worked out pretty well for him as trying to kill me was enough for him to get the medical treatment he so desperately needed. It's be 8 years and he's been fully and successfully rehabilitated, he is completely functional (even has a fiance now) and has a well paying full time job (he actually has more money than me). His story had a happy ending; there is hope for Bartimaeus' niece/nephews. Their crazy parents just need to TRY to kill them but screw it up and the evidence needs to be undeniable. Happened for me. Could happen for them too. Wow. That is a lot of personal information I just put out there.
  9. This conversation is reminding me of my crazy older brother.
  10. https://youtu.be/P3ALwKeSEYs Variety! Sweet, sweet variety...
  11. I guess it doesn't bother you to send millions of your tax dollars to support a vicious nation that attacks both its allies and enemies and seems to have no qualms about committing genocide. I oppose foreign aid and having allies in general. Trade with all nations, alliances with none; that's my policy. It bothers me to see US tax dollars going to support any state. I don't have any issues with Israel itself as I don't know much about it. BTW: Defining it as a "vicious nation" doesn't do much to make me think your evaluation of Israel is accurate though.
  12. I get the feeling it won't be great either. The dialog wheel and pc voice acting gives me a poor impression.
  13. Not much of a surprise really. I don't see why she even bothered writing a letter about it. It's not like her pro-Israel stance is some kinda mystery. It's one of the few topics where I agree with her. Why do you guys have a problem with it? I don't have a problem with Israel myself (don't know nearly enough about the Israeli-Palestinian situation to have an opinion on it).

  15. To be fair; there are plenty of illegals are involved in some very nasty business in service to the criminal cartels. I don't blame them for being opposed to the status quo which has many problems. Their solutions are just too flawed. Something should be done though.
  16. Utter and complete nonsense. We have more than enough light infantry and air power to do the job if they're given simple, direct, and aggressive Rules of Engagement and the necessary logistical support. Sadly, the Obongo administration is doing everything it can to keep the illegal aliens flowing north. Such undue faith in state effectiveness and a gross underestimation of human ingenuity, personal complacency, and the criminal cartels (who would now stand to make even more money smuggling people into the country). You honestly believe that an organization as incompetent as the government could effectively pull off something as daunting as this? BTW: When I said, "we can't" I wasn't just referring to the practical difficulty of the immediate task, but also the consequences of such action. A lot of US business relies on illegals and they won't be doing so well once they can't get more. Not many politicians are ready to face such consequences.
  17. You can disable that by flipping the corresponding option in baldur.ini from "1" to "0". Not sure if it's anywhere in the options menu though. (I hate that **** too btw) Good. Thanks for the info.
  18. I'll say what bothered me the most about EE. The multi-colored circles under the companions. Just be friggin' green gosh darn it.
  19. Take that Baldur's Gate Trilogy mod.
  20. ? There's nothing politically correct or incorrect about having female leads. I don't really see where you're coming from.
  21. So it's basically Hunted: Demon's Forge, except politically correct and inclusive. How do you know it's, "politically correct"? We don't what's in the game.
  22. I was thinking of making another RPGMaker game myself (my old one is long gone sadly). My biggest issue is that with no one to work with I can get bored and quit before I finish. My first completed project I worked on with my friend (though I did most the work). I did manage to finish another project, but it was a small project by design. Really more of a choose-your-own adventure game (similar to "Way of the Samurai", but with JRPG mechanics) than a JRPG adventure. If you're a newbie I would have some advice though: 1) Worry more about finishing the project than making every single area perfect; perfecting the game should be AFTER the core game is finished. There are multiple reasons for this I won't get into, but trust me; it's for the best. 2) Plan out your story in advance and WRITE DOWN NOTES to keep your story fresh in your memory. It's not good to wing it with major plot events. 3) Make a few easy & short puzzles or something to keep things fresh in dungeons. 4) I don't recommend random encounters. I usually use patrolling monster groups. I've actually got an RPGMaker itch right now so I'll just start making a RPGMaker game right now. I'll try to actually finish it...
  23. I've actually made an RPGMaker game in the past. If it helps the more you use the program the more efficient you become at getting things done faster & better. So, no worries. BTW: Do you create your own resources or do you get them off the internet/initial RTP?
  24. If you are being honest the USA could absorb that number of people.....you could let people stay with you ? You have a spare room dont you...if every US citizen allowed 1 Mexican family to stay with them the problem would be solved ...imagine how good you will feel afterwards Not every year Bruce. When has our huge border with Mexico been 99% secure?
