  1. Sith Tremor Sword and the Echani Vibrosword are the best one-handed melee weapons (not including lightsabers). Upgrade them with an Ostrine Edge, a Vibration Cell IV (or Energy Cell IV if you don't have the prerequisites), and a Superior Zabrak or Arginium Grip, and you have something that deals out critical hits more frequently, and inflicts a boatload of damage. Great for cleaving through energy shielded opponents. Give Canderous two of them, combined with Power Attack, and watch him slice and dice.
  2. Everyone gets the first piece either from the Ithorians, or the Czerka rep (the Rodian) on the Telos station (just before you leave).
  3. Probably the best explanation out of everyone's. There are only two Sith Lords, according to Darth Bane's "rule of two," and these Sith Lords have access to all sorts of Sith secrets that are not available to other dark Jedi. Remember, that just because someone is a dark Jedi, does not make him a Sith, as was the case with many of the adepts that Dooku trained. None of these dark Jedi apprentices would carry tha name of "Darth," since they were not Sith. In the case of use of the "Darth" name in the KOTOR timeline, there was no such rule of "only two," although the title of "Sith Lord" was still restricted to an elite handful.
  4. "Most Difficult" is a relative term. Enemies that you would have easily quashed as a fully powered Jedi can be murderous when you actually face them as a neophyte. I'd say that the most difficult boss to fight was the Sith Governor on Taris. Most of us probably held back on levelling up, which made the fight even more difficult. He's a tough nut to crack, and the fact that he can hit you lots of times with that double bladed vibroblade, and inflict critical hits fairly frequently, makes him one mean SOB. Then, there's the fact that he does have Force powers. You don't have any Mandalorian Melee shields at that phase of the game, and only one of you can wear Brejik's armband / belt combo.
  5. Quickest, and easiest way: Be nice to him while you're on Telos. Tell him it wasn't his fault when you rescue him from the prison in the Academy. Go to Nar Shaada first. Help the man being harassed by the two Exchange thugs (the one closest to the Ebon Hawk), and be nice to that man, and you may get some influence here. Go to the north side of the Refugee Landing Pad area (just south of the docks), and help the man being harssed by the other two Exchange thugs. You'll get some points for helping the man, as Bao-Dur will comment on this. Then talk to the man, and be nice to him. You'll have enough influence points now, to make him a Jedi Guardian. He's the easiest to convert, and quickest.
  6. Just plain blue. No need for anything fancy, and no desire to draw extra unwanted attention! Think of it this way: if you were a grunt trooper, and saw a bunch of jedi, most of them with blue or green blades, and one with a purple blade, who would you fire that sonic screamer at?
  7. When Ponlar starts his riot, tell the soldier to call for reinforcements. GO-TO will compliment you on that choice, and you'll get some influence.
  8. Miles sound tools works, no modifications needed.
  9. Once you select a form, it's always on, until you select another. The only time it's not "on" is if it's a lightsaber form, and you aren't wielding a lightsaber, if I recall correctly.
  10. This way works 100% of the time as DS'er: Make sure Visas is equipped with the same set of clothing that she came with in the first place. Select the appropriate conversation choices on the Ravager against Nihilus. That's it. Lightsaber or vibroblade, it matters not.
  11. Awareness is also used to create many items at the workbench. The Pontite Lens for your lightsaber, for example, can be crafted if you have a total of 27 Awareness or greater (including WIS, Force Valor, and item bonuses). There are also several non-lightsaber upgrades that are dependent on Awareness.
  12. There are two ways to turn your eligible NPC's into Jedi. 1) Be nice, and you can convert all of them. This results in a net LS shift. You can always get more DS points later, as there are plenty of opportunities to murder innocents. 2) Be mean to them, abusive, and lose as much influence with them, and you can convert them (except for Handmaiden, since she'll stop talking to you) to Jedi as opposite alignment to you.
  13. Charisma can indirectly benefit you in other ways. Your fellow party members get a combat bonus based on your Charisma. If you want to let them do the fighting, then this certainly comes in handy. Some force powers DC rating are based on Charisma bonuses as well. Otherwise, Wisdom is more important. WIS determines your force points, the strength of your powers (harder to resist, more damage), and if you are male, will also yield you a nice defensive bonus after you've dealt with Handmaiden appropriately. Also, WIS affects more skills than CHR does, especially in the area of Awareness and Treat Injury. You can create some really nice items with those two skills...
  14. Kreia has some interesting things to say about Mira if you get her, then go DS (and have her fall as well).
  15. Hanharr: UHHHRRR! AHRRRR! RHRRRR!
  16. One chance on Dxun: As stated above, have her in the party when you investigate the crashed ship containing the Duros (Zhug). Tell them that Mira is the real bounty hunter. There are a couple of chances on Onderon. 1) Talk to Anda (you need to have a couple of pro-Vaklu statements first) about removing the captains. When Mira perks up and is enthused about getting paid bounties, agree with her. 2) When Ponlar starts the riot, don't choose any sides. Sometimes, this will get an influence bonus with Mira. 3) When the Twilek bounty hunter catches up to you, wants to start a fight and starts egging on Mira, then tell him that "I won't let you insult my companion." 4) When meeing with Kavar in the cantina, and when the fight starts, Mira will mention that she doesn't want any civilians to be harmed. Agree with her. If you did all of the above, then that should be more than plenty. Note, that you don't have to go through with removing the captains if you still want to side with Queen Talia.
  17. [Force Persuade] Except this time. I agree with the previous poster; none of them were quite as frustrating as trying to beat Suvam Tan in KOTOR 1, much less beat him 10 times. At least in KOTOR 2, it was more balanced (take turns as to who goes first).
  18. Doesn't matter. After you finish Goto's Yacht level, and get back to the planet, you'll get another chance to talk with him. Just don't select the "I've heard enough. Prepare to die" option.
  19. In a nutshell... Once you go into the refugee sector, you're given a chance to repair th air speeder, using the manuvering flaps, the navigation interface, and the cryogenic power cell. Once you do this, you can activate the air speeder, and use it to "instantly" travel from one part of Nar Shaada to another. While this may be a quick way to travel, people who do this sometimes forget, that you don't trigger the Red Eclipse spawning in and around the Ebon Hawk, until you leave the refugee sector on foot. If you use the air speeder to transport yourself from the refugee sector to the other areas, without first having walked out the refugee sector, you will never trigger the Red Eclipse spawning. As the thread originator demonstrated, if you don't trigger the Red Eclipse spawning, you'll never get to meet up with Visquis, and won't be able to complete Nar Shaada.
  20. Glad it worked. Enjoy the rest of the planet!
  21. Walk to the Refugee Sector. Then walk back out. Do NOT use the swoop to transport yourself. You should then get an updated entry in your journal that says something about how it might be a bad idea to leave the Ebon Hawk in its current place. Go back to the Ebon Hawk, and if you see a bunch of hostile Trandoshans, then you're on the way to finishing that what you need to do. Kill the Trandoshans outside of the Ebon Hawk, board the ship, and then kill off all of the enemies in there as well. Go towards the pilot's area (where Atton normally hangs out), and just before you get there, go to that room just south of the c*ckpit. Make a deal with the slaver leader, or kill him. Doesn't matter. Leave the Ebon Hawk, and then you'll get a message from Atton, saying that Visquis wants to meet with you.
  22. The only part she could sell you that would work for building your first lightsaber is the color crystal. The rest are only upgrade parts. To build the lightsaber in the first place, you have to have the three original, non-upgraded parts.
  23. If you want more sabers, Dantooine is the best place to start after you leave Telos. You'll have one part from the Ithorians / Czerka (depending on who you helped). You can get one more part from Jorran, and another part by tampering with the will found on the salvager's corpse in the Enclave sublevel (talk to Zherron after that). That makes three parts, and you can then construct your lightsaber. If you need a color crystal, then buy one from the ugly lady in the salvagers' camp. You don't even need to finish Dantooine, and can then travel to whatever planet you want, saving the rest of Dantooine for later. Once you get back to your ship, defeat Visas, and get a whole saber. You'll have one saber for yourself, and another for Visas, and you can pick up more sabers in the locations mentioned in the posts above. If you do Nar Shaada next, you can have three more sabers; one for Kreia, one for Atton, and one for Bao-Dur, if you play your cards right.
  24. You're not likely to be at L15 by that time, though. Even if you did every side quest on the Telos station, and had Kreia in your party at all times, would that be enough XP to get to L15?
  25. Oh yeah, and simple "Force Push" works great against individuals as well, especially if you're a consular. Start with the ones that are hovering around the edge of the ring, and use Force Push.
