Which did you find to be the rarest?
Unabomber replied to the khanster's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
This also happened in KOTOR1, before the later patches, when one had the Mantle of the Force crystal used as a color crystal. The cyan beam that it projected, wouldn't shut off unless you either switched weapons, or flourished. -
How do I gain Influence I've tried everything
Unabomber replied to Ti22's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
That conversation can only be triggered if you ask her either before she joins your group, or, IIRC, the first time you see her on the Ebon Hawk. I wouldn't worry about that conversation, though. It's not important at all. -
How do I gain Influence I've tried everything
Unabomber replied to Ti22's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
If you aren't gaining any influence when doing acts of kindness / sacrifice, then you're already maxed out. In order for you to get that final sparring session with her, you need to be at least 18th level (combined). After you defeat her, you can talk to her about her mother, and tell her that the Force runs through her. -
Nope. If you told Atton that Revan was LS (in the beginning of the game), then you'll see Bastila twice; once in the message in T3, where she tells T3 to seek out the Republic, and once on Citadel Station. If you told Atton that Revan was DS, then you'll see Bastila in a holocron on Korriban, and then another time when you get the message in T3, although it will be a different message than the LS Revan version. She tells T3 to seek out any Sith or Jedi.

You should have gotten your first lightsaber part (emitter, lens, or fixture), from either Czerka or the Ithorians on Telos, depending on with whom you sided. You can find lightsaber color crystals on any of the planets, and you should have been able to buy one from one of the Duros merchants on Telos, but that's not necessary at all. You must find each of the three lightsaber parts in addition to the crystal, before Bao Dur will build you a saber. You can't just build them on the workbench, since those are actually upgrades to each basic part, and not the basic part itself. Just as a quick guideline, you can get a lightsaber built pretty quickly if you go to Dantooine as your first planet. Assuming you already came to Dantooine with a lightsaber part from Telos, do the following: 1) Make sure you're sufficiently light sided or dark sided, that you have triggered the movie scene showing Visas (the lady in the purple robe). 2) If you want a color crystal, as well as maybe a couple upgrade crystals, talk to the ugly lady in the salvager's camp, and ask what she has for sale. 3) Go to the ruins of the Enclave, and explore. You'll eventually come across Jorran. Make sure that you've cleared the area of lairgeks (creatures). If you want DS points, just kill him on the spot, and you'll get DS points + a lightsaber part. Otherwise, for LS points (and potentially more loot), let him go, finish the ruins, and go back to the salvagers' camp. You'll see him standing there, and you can buy the lightsaber part and two crystals off him. I actually got lucky once, and ended up with a color cystal, the lightsaber part, and a Upari crystal. 4) After you've gotten the second lightsaber part, go back onto the Ebon Hawk, and you'll fight Visas. After you beat her, you'll get another lightsaber part. Talk to Bao Dur. If you have a crystal, and the three lightsaber parts, you can have him build you a saber, you choice of single or double bladed. Once you build your saber, any places that would normally give you a lightsaber part, will result in you getting a whole saber (random type). Still, though, in order to use the lightsaber upgrades that you built on the workbench, you must have a functional lightsaber.

Which Boss is Most Badass?
Unabomber replied to AlaricQelDroma's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I didn't have enough influence with Atton at the time, since it was the first planet after Telos. None of the characters were Jedi at the time, since you need influence, and in the case of Handmaiden, at least L18. Different people play the game differently, and there's nothing wrong with finishing Nar Shadaa first, and if anything, I respect those who did, since it required a bit more thinking than simple Force power spamming and hack and slay. Again, if you don't have enough influence built up with Atton, he'll refuse. Very common if someone does Nar Shadaa first, and doesn't go through every chance to gain influence. Why don't you try Nar Shadaa as your first voluntary planet the next time you play? I think you'll find it an enjoyable challenge. -
Which Boss is Most Badass?
Unabomber replied to AlaricQelDroma's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Tank droid was difficult the first time I played through KOTOR2. I was using a Consular that didn't have Force Shock / Lightning at the time, and kept trying to lob ion grenades. Eventually, I gave up on that, and simply decided to make use of Atton's demolition skills, and lay a bunch of mines where the droid would eventually spawn. Most difficult boss? Probably the Twin Sun twi'lek ladies. Again, on my first time playing through the game. I hadn't turned Atton into a Jedi yet, and hadn't taken time to give him any decent melee wares. I had to exhaust my entire supply of Mandalorian power shields and Mandalorian melee shields, to get through that encounter. -
The last few hours of the game
Unabomber replied to Kaleb_Bombassan's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Malak's armor is available, if you're really high level, thanks to the random loot generator. If you don't use explots / cheats, though, you will most likely not get it. His armor isn't anything great, anyways, so you're not missing out on anything here. -
As a LS, I bring along GO-TO. While some people may scoff at this, it's a chance to gain significant influence with GO-TO without getting any DS points. During the protestor's attempt at starting a riot, you can simply tell the captain to call in for reinforcements, and GO-TO will agree. You can also ask GO-TO to help you in repairing the droid in the Western Square, for more influence. That, plus with dual upgraded blasters, he packs a whallop.

Best Prestige class for Sentinel?
Unabomber replied to nobones's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Not really special force powers, but rather the increased combat abilities. You take less damage, and the % goes up as you get higher in level, all the way to 15% damage reduction. You do more damage with melee weapons or bare hands. You have the options of taking Jedi Weapons Master-specific feats, such as superior weapon focus for your lightsaber, as well as three extra feats dealing with superior two weapon fighting. You can also get the Juyo lightsaber form (Form VII) that is unavailable to the other two light side prestige classes. This form gives you an extra attack, and really improves your critical threat. Using Juyo form, in combination with master flurry, master speed, and two weapons (or a double bladed lightsaber), you'll get six melee attacks / round, and with the added critical threat, you'll be opening up many cans of whoop-a** on anyone. I pity the sad little Sith Lord that has to go against you... -
For the Dxun tomb, I sent Mira as the leader, and (don't laugh) HK47 along with GO-TO. At this stage, Mira was a L7 Scout, and I believe a L13 or L14 Jedi Sentinnel. She was using a single blade lightsaber, with a Pontite lens, Tegram Jolt Cell III, and Expert Deflection Emitter, along with a Sigil crystal and Upari crystal. She took out any saber-wielding enemies with relatively little problem, although I did keep her Echani Duelling Shield in constant use. HK and GO-TO were each using dual pistols. HK had two Mandalorian Rippers, while GO-TO had two Onasi blasters. All pistols were upgraded with Accuracy Scope III, Pure Rylith Cells, and Mandalorian Chamber III. Needless to say, these droids took out enemies in a hurry, and in HK's case, where I had upgraded his Precise Shot abilities, he delivered an insane amount of damage for two blasters. I replayed this scenario, using T3 instead of GO-TO, with similar weaponry, and he did just fine as well, and having that renewable shield made him nearly impossible to kill.

If you said that Revan went DS when you talked to Atton in the beginning, then the holocron shows Bastila and her concern for Revan. She also mentions that she will serve nobody but Revan, seeing how the current Sith are too busy with their petty quarrels, and that nobody is powerful enough to control the Star Forge.

When entering the rebuilt Jedi Enclave, the two companions that you brought along stay put at the entrance. During my second time playing this game, I had Handmaiden and Mira in the party, and they were just standing there, as expected. I exited the enclave, and re-entered. The original Handmaiden and Mira were still standing there, but now I had clones of Handmaiden and Mira actively in my party. Seemed somewhat odd seeing the clones standing next to each other. After Kreia drained the masters, and left with Handmaiden to Telos, and after my character got up, I still had Handmaiden and Mira in my party, and could even carry on a conversation with them.

Darth Malak's Robes/ Jolee Bindo's Robes
Unabomber replied to RoadReaction's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Not quite the same. Jolee Bindo's robes are a separate item that only neutral Jedi can use, and actually have some nice bonuses. -
Do Keen bonuses stack? There are three upgrades (Nextor + one other crystal, and the Improved Beam Gem lens) that offer Keen bonuses, and I was thinking about trying this combination with the next character, maxing out Critical Strike and using the lightsaber form that adds to criticals.
-
Favorite set of upgrades for anyone: Non-crystal: Ultimate Diatum Cell (+5 damage) Pontite Lens (+2-12 cold damage) Expert Fencing Emitter (+some moderate damage) Crystal: Your personal crystal + any of the following: Barab Ore Ingot Qixoni Pontite Solari Upari Sigil Phond That should easily get you a lot more damage than what you currently have.

IIRC, when a Jedi starts out, he (and many others) undergoes general training, before being selected as a Padawan with a specific Jedi master, much how the children were all training under the watchful eye of Yoda in EP1. It could simply have been that Kavar had a similar role, and was responsible for the initial training phases. I agree, that Kavar was by far, the coolest. I wish he would have survived, and seeing Kreia drain him was depressing, indeed. Zek was decent as well, seeing how he left the Jedi because of the judgement. I didn't give a fig about Vrook back in KOTOR1, and especially didn't like him in KOTOR2.

As T3M4, you can easily beat the HK droids by first using your best droid shield, and then simply using the droid shock arm, which can inflict a decent amount of damage (1-6 per level), and automatically hits each time.
-
You don't need to play a single game of pazaak. To beat the lady, if you are male, you can play her cards in a different manner, or if you are female, you can have Atton do the work. To beat the Duros, just trick him, or Force Persuade him, into leaving the pazaak den. Then his 'buddies' will take care of him. A few DS points, but nothing big. To beat the robot, just repair him, if your PC has decent computer / repair skills. To beat the champ, just use Force Persuade. He says something like "I always win!" and you can simply reply (Force Persuade) Except this time.
-
It's probably going to be easier, and cheaper, if you simply go to a workbench, break down some of the heavy armors that you aren't using, and then use those components to create your own computer spikes.

If you've already had one of your characters dance for the Hutt, then don't bother. If not, then... To trigger this, you need to first go to the flophouse (docks), and have someone enter stealth mode, so you can overhear the conversation between the two thugs about stealing from Vogga. Then you can go to the bartender at the Cantina, and get the Juma juice. Now you can talk to the guy in the Cantina about dancing for the Hutt. Once you put the Hutt to sleep, pour the juice into the kath hounds' drinking bowl, and they'll fall asleep as well. Then rob the place.

How do you make NPCs Jedi?
Unabomber replied to Sithmasteryoungy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
My suggestions: They all have their strengths and weaknesses. For the most part, you're probably going to want to pump up their WIS (more important) and CHR scores, since they aren't too strong in those departments. Handmaiden, with her soldier class and Jedi Guardian class, makes an excellent melee fighter, although won't have too many force points, unless you give her some more WIS enhancements. Use whatever you want in her saber. Atton can actually be a good melee fighter. I'd stop levelling him up at L7 or L9 Scoundrel, and then invest in some incapacitating powers (Fear / Horror / Insanity or Stun / Stasis / Stasis Field) as well as the Speed tree, once you turn him into a Jedi Sentinel. For feats, max out the Critical Strike tree. With this combination of speed, debilitation, and his sneak attack (from his Scoundrel levels), he can dish out a surprising amount of damage. Having two lightsabers, each stacked with Keen upgrades (Nextor crystals, improved beam gem lenses) and maxing out his critical strike and two weapon fighting, makes him very deadly. Bao-Dur won't get much in the way of help from his old class, except for the skills. He becomes a Jedi Guardian, and can't wear robes or the Jedi armors. I'd invest in the Flurry tree of feats, as well as two weapon fighting, and give him a double bladed lightsaber loaded with damage enhancing goodies (Pontite Lens, etc). With his skills already pretty high from his Tech Specialist class, you should be able to make some nice upgrades. Mira is rather physically weak, but has a good DEX, so once you turn her into a Sentinel, you'll want to invest in the lightsaber finese feat, in addition to the flurry feats. Upgrade her lightsaber with damage enhancing goodies, and give her the Force Speed powers. Invest in WIS. Disciple's stats are, IIRC, similar to Handmaiden's, so his soldier class will give a good foundation for combat, but he becomes a Jedi Consular. Invest in WIS and CHR, as well as the buffing powers (Valor, Armor, Improved energy resistance, Battle Meditation) and put him on Jedi Support. Use whatever you want in his lightsaber. -
Help with Aczul's mercs [Spoilers]
Unabomber replied to Clariana13's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of the cure. Before you leave the cave, equip each character with Mandalorian Melee or Power shields (these protect from physical damage, and they're all equipped with two bladed swords), use stimulants, and cast whatever Force enhancing powers you want. Force Barrier works well here, since it also prevents some of the physical damage. Knight Speed is very helpful, so you can mow down attackers. Cast Knight Valor (or whatever you have) to give yourself a bit of a bonus, just as combat starts. Finally, if one of your characters is L12 jedi, and you have Horror or Insanity (better), keep spamming that power, and you'll prevent a good number of them from attacking, while they cower in fear. -

Theories about end of KOTOR2/start of KOTOR3
Unabomber replied to Matt7895's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Actually, there is an interesting story, if you manage to get enough influence. I've unlocked it once. Same here. Hanharr isn't quite the typical Wookie, and assuming you unlock the conversation tree with him, your theory of his being mentally inept holds a good deal of water. He's still a good combatant, especially with a fully upgraded, high quality rifle. Also, being able to torch enemies with the droid molten projector was nice. If you have Kreia in your party, you get 5% more experience points, I believe. This could get you a level or two more. Also, if you unlock more of the conversations with your party members, that's worth a good bit of XP as well, perhaps enough to get you another level.
