Seriously? I thought I heard echoes of HoMM, especially with some recurring themes, but I didn't think was onto anything there.

This is on top my want list. Id the AI can actually do the things that they flaunt and if the imperium three feature is as functional as it sounds, this might very well top several fave 4x games of mine. What I'm most interested about, however, is how they will accost the problem of scale: Will the AI be able to withstand the amount of info and still seem like an intelligent opponent? Can the fun in the game survive or is every scenario going to be relatively similar yet massive undertaking, leading to droning automation from the player? Will variety survive? And most importantly, is three factions enough to fill the void?

I'm really anxious for a demo, I want to see how well it can run. Right now, for lack of budget, my rig is slowly dropping off the edge of technical prowess, or rather, it's utter crap.

Oh, c'mon. Go ****slap each other into private messages or something. To quote my gothfag friend: "I can't bear to see this travesty unfold". I mean, he is gay without trying, while you two have to write several paragraphs. To not be entirely off the topic, I think there's a high chance of K3 being an eventuality, one that is singleplayer. Even LucasArts isn't so stupid as to force mmo on it's humongous KotOR fanbase. While an eventuality, however, it's not out of the question that an mmo-iteration of KotOR might be in LA's sights first before K3. It's a very marketable franchise and so is the genre, so an amalgam sounds like something the producers likely wouldn't want to miss. Yet, they generally only have one Star Wars AA title out at a time and most of their marketing is targeted towards that one. This time, we'll likely have to wait until after Force Unleashed before a new Star Wars game of such magnitude. K3 might be years ahead as it is.

Hah, that shut Hades. No, I seriously have nothing to add to the thread. I'm somewhat cautious of Bioware, but Mass Effect was a very good effort. Good enough to warrant slight hype on Dragon Age from my part. I doubt I'll get it on the first day though, not with the rig budget I now have. But it's great to know that crpgs as a genre aren't dead.
