  1. It is common knowledge that God does not help the foolish...
  2. NWN1 had lots of icons too... does anyone have any numbers so that we can compare? BTW, Jefferson FTW!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Very promising! I might get that game! The more I hear about it the more I like it. I think it will be a breath of fresh air in the CRPG genre, and I completely trust its designers. http://www.sorcerers.net/Main/Articles/bro...s_interview.php
  4. Not so long as you stick with that lame avatar. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What do you have against Excel? She's really nice!
  5. Hmmm.... interesting.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Please don't say that...Ramza will have a stroke. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Like Sawyer didn't know exactly what he was saying. Hell, I'd be glad to see if all that went somewhere. I just don't want to hold out hope for it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> " " " The day when all of you will regret mocking me approaches...
  6. You say that all of these things have been provided on paper which is wrong. All the legislation that is adopted by the EU is implemented both at EU and national levels. Specific bodies have been set up for that purpose.
  7. As a student specialized in EU law, I can tell you that everything they say is correct apart from the "single voice in world trade"., which is simply an exaggeration. The EC (European Communities, which are different from the EU) are indeed a member of the WTO but they cannot conclude agreements on any field of trade (the EC is mainly competent to conclude agreements on trade of goods, and agreements on just some aspects of trade of services and intellectual property matters). Besides that, the EU has done a lot more than what is said in this video: EU citizenship, setting up of social standards, cooperation in the fields of security, justice, immigration, education, promotion of national cultures, etc etc etc (the list can be quite long). Some people just cannot accept that times have changed and that the preservation of national sovereignty alone will not save their countries. Those are called "eurosceptics" and will do anything to criticize the EU despite all the benefits it has brought. OK, I admit that the EU also has its share of problems but they are insignificant compared to how much it has improved our life quality since WW2.
  8. Very funny video and so true... I don't understand why some people hate the EU. http://www.whathaseuropedone.org/
  9. Nice to see that Bards are somewhat more useful (and cooler) than NWN1. However, I am surprised that none of you has complained about the lack of portraits. The animated faces are completely unappealing. I mean, just check the pictures!!!
  10. I don't like the fact that they didn't include portraits. One of the cool features of the IE games and of NWN was the portraits and the possibility to customize them. SHAME ON YOU OBSIDIAN!
  11. 6. Planescape: Torment (1999) The moment: Winning the game by dying Although it wasn't billed this way, the persistently bizarre Planescape: Torment ranks as one of the greatest, goriest zombie games ever made. You play a nameless hero who can't die
  12. That's exactly what happened to me when I put my cat in this position. My head was bleeding afterwards. Of course, I scolded my cat for doing that!
  13. Has anything been said about the possibility for the player to choose whether he can get max HP at level up or not? There was an icon you could click upon in the options menu of the IWD games for that purpose. Will they do the same in NWN2? I am really looking forward to that feature as it was absent from NWN1.
  14. http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/42321 Where do I sign up to take part in the next Olympics?
  15. I guess it's still early for this... Even if the graphics are old (like the IE games), this won't prevent me from getting it (provided that there is a good story and interesting characters). You can check for a thread a created a few months ago about the same game , in which I give a link to the official site. I think I saw a picture there. here's the link to my thread: http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?sh...42&hl=hourglass
  16. Common, the game sounds very promising. Reminds me of BG2:SoA spirit in some way. It may actually be BG2's spiritual successor. I especially like the way races are handled and the world in which the story takes place.
  17. Where did that pic come from?
  18. right, I didn't think about all these things.... oh well, I might just as well do something else with this money of mine...
  19. I might consider buying these even though I already own a copy of each one of these games. I like them a lot and might even be playing them 50 years from now. The problem is that my CDs are getting more and more scratched as time passes (especially the BG1 one, because of the weird CD case). I am sure they will break at some point, so it would be a shame not to take all the necessary measures so as to have a backup copy of these games. Besides, there isn't any other game that I consider to be superior to BG2. It might be a good investment after all...
  20. Remember that game I mentioned a while ago? Here's a nifty interview with interesting info: http://fourfatchicks.com/Rants/Interviews/...ompton/JC.shtml
  21. Now that Atari pulled NWN1's plug, is there any chance to ever get our hands on these modules (even if they are released as Community modules, and not premium ones)? Apart from DLA's Wythern Crown module(if I remember correctly its name), does anyone know what the other modules were? Thanks in advance. Cheers.
