  1. I wonder if I should even pay to get the first PM expansion pack. Atari doesn't deserve my money!
  2. I really hate Atari, after reading these news (are those businessmen stupid or what? kinda reminds me of the lame choices a certain Mr Caen made for Interplay). I was looking forward to these new modules (especially WW2, and a second PM expansion pack including PotSC and ID), and to the rideable horses hakpack. Are they not aware that people still keep playing NWN1, and will be still playing it after NWN2 is released? I don't expect to have the possibility to play NWN2 before a period of 2 years (starting from now). I even entered a persistent world yesterday and had a lot of fun. I was my usual annoying self and people kept dumping me...
  3. Following that story, a friend of mine wrote this: ADVERTISED POSITION: YOUR LETTER OF REJECTION Thank you for your letter of 20th May. After careful consideration I regret to inform you that I am unable to accept your refusal to offer me employment with your company. This year I have been particularly fortunate in receiving an unusually large number of rejection letters. With such a varied and promising field of candidates it is impossible for me to accept all refusals. Despite your company's outstanding qualifications and previous experience in rejecting applicants, I find that your rejection does not meet my needs at this time. Therefore I will start work with your company on Thursday 1st September 2006 at 8.00 am. I look forward to seeing you then. Yours faithfully.

  5. That's a nice program, Atreides. Even though I am almost clueless when it comes to pcs, I managed to resize one of my pics with it (at first, everything seemed complicated because it had many commands). Anyway, thanks a lot for your help.
  6. Hey everyone! I need to submit my pic for my promotion's yearbook. The thing is that I have many pics of myself but I don't know how to reduce their size so as to fit them in the page. They ask for a pic whose size is between 120 and 160 pixels. Can someone, please, help me with that? What program should I use? Thanks in advance. Cheers.
  7. No, the D&D death rules (this whole wounded, unconscious system when you have 0 HP) are stupid. You die or you do not die. It should be as simple as that. If you die, you can always cast a ressurection spell or use a ressurection rod. But you SHOULD die when you reach 0. In my own p&p rules, a character falls unconscious when his HP gets between 0 and 10, after the opponent has striked him (the opponent must have the Deathblow feat to do so, however). Then, it is up to the opponent to finish up the character or leave him agonizing. Note: I have somewhat changed the Deathblow feat. The character's opponent falls automatically unconscious if the character reduces his HP below 10. Moreover, if the opponent fails a fortitude save, he will start bleeding, and losing 1HP per round.
  8. the problem, however, is that there is no definition of "excessive" out there when it comes to CO2 in the atmosphere. our current levels are less than 1/10th what they have been during recent ice ages even (and probably only 1% of peak values in the distant past). good/bad value judgements on CO2 are a waste of energy. i suppose it depends upon point of view... taks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ya know, don't you feel concerned when you see all these campaigns about the need to reduce the emissions of CO2 so that we can have healthier lives? CO2 IS a bad thing, especially when forest are diminishing (I am thinking about the Amazon forest in particular). What is striking to me is that the US don't seem to care about what could happen to this planet, as long as they can make money. Making efforts so as to reduce the CO2 emissions would be a waste of money, so big companies try to make us think that CO2 is necessary for our lives. The US is the only industrialised country that hasn't ratified the Kyoto protocol. Isn't that shocking? Doesn't that show how far capitalism has gone in the US? (BTW, I am "liberal" but I don't like the concept of capitalism a la USA).
  9. When I said that probably no changes would be made, I meant that they intended to use the KOTOR death system despite the fact that many fans complain about it.
  10. J.E. Sawyer was reading this thread and didn't post anything. So here you go, no changes will be made... Since it's a NWN game, the most logical thing would be to have the NWN1 style of death (with respawning, etc). The thing is that I have never used that feature (I prefer to re-load). Personally, the way one died in the BG series was more appealing to me.
  11. Actually, I am only interested in the variant Bard class. I wouldn't like to spend 30 dollars on a Book that I won't use. Besides, the part I am interested in only costs 7 bucks. My main worry is that I might get disappointed with the quality of the new Bard class. Is it as good as people tend to say?
  12. I was just being ironical... in other words, I was saying that I didn't care about what could happen to this world as long as I had the time to complete my favorite games before earth's total destruction (because I have been owning a few games, like KOTOR 1&2 for quite some time, waiting desperately to get a new pc in order to play them... if such a thing is ever gonna happen...well I hope it will... I wouldn't like to die before having the chance to try them at least).
  13. Yeah, but excessive amounts of CO2 is not a good thing either... By watching this clip, I got the impression that they were telling us to keep polluting our planet, just for the sake of safeguarding our comfortable lives.
  14. http://www.montecook.com/mpress_BOEM2.html Since I like the Bard class a lot but am rather unsatisfied with the current 3.5E rules, I thought that the Book of Eldtrich Might II might be worth a look. It has a very interesting variant Bard class that uses spellsongs instead of arane magic. Has anyone read this book? Is it good or is it as crappy as the other d&d books? Besides, it only costs 7 dollars, which isn't bad at all. The problem is that I don't know whether I should trust the website that provides this document. Is there any risk that I get my credit number somehow ripped off by them (I have never bought anything from the net before)? http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com/catalog/prod...products_id=515
  15. Yeah, six years to complete NWN 2, Dragon Age and any other decent RPG that gets released by then...
  16. Hopefully, I will have gotten my university degrees, finished reading all the mangas I like, and completed most of the games that keep collecting dust on my shelves because my pc is crappy right now (including KOTOR 1&2, and NWN2 soon enough)... so who cares? I will die as a happy man anyway...
  17. Well, this is YOUR interpretation of things. This is why I will have to disagree with you...
  18. HAHAHAHAHAHA! Those capitalists................... http://streams.cei.org/
  19. I hate it so much when people say that... It sounds SO stupid! There were farmers, hunters and crafters way before whores... These only appeared after people started settling down, living in towns, and building their society... The worst thing is when I hear women saying that proudly... HA! they are proud to be at the origin of the first profession in humanity (so they think)... Meh, feminists...
  20. I still have to finish the OC (I plan to get on it as soon as I am done with my exams session). And I haven't tried the premium modules yet... So, yes. I will keep playing NWN1 even after NWN2 is released because my pc doesn't meet the min specs anyway...
  21. What happened to the WW2 module? Will they ever make it? I had also heard rumors about a SG2 module... I will wait till all of them get released on CD. I didn't even buy the one that had the first 3 premium modules because I was sure there would be another one with the Pirates module.
  22. There are 4 variants of the Greek language: Ancient Greek Byzantine Greek (it's a bit similar to Ancient Greek and we still use it nowadays in the Orthodox church) Classical Greek (it was used during the 19th and 20th centuries, till the 1970s; it's some kind of heavy-litterary variant... We can still use it nowadays in official documents like judgements, laws, etc) Modern Greek (the language that everyone speaks in Greece nowadays, it's kinda poor compared to the other variants)
  23. I will probably go for the Wii, now that I learned that we will also be able to use a classic controller. The last console I owned was the playstation 1, and I loved it mainly for its JRPGs and for the innovative games that came along (RE, silent Hill, MetalGear Solid, Medal of Honor, etc). Today, I have grown bored with JRPGs and all the games mentioned above can also be found on PC platform. Moreover, Nintendo has games that are exclusive to its consoles, and some of them are particularly neat (RE remake. RE zero, Zelda games). Since I will be able to play al the older Nintendo games on the Wii, that gives me another reason to get this console.
  24. Too bad, if it was modern greek, I could have helped you... Where did you find this passage? Are you doing this for your studies?
  25. Depends on whether you like a console's controller or not: http://www.kotaku.com/gaming/zelda/now-thi...ller-150257.php http://www.vgcats.com/comics/?strip_id=165
