Here's some cosplay from the Gunnm series: http://studenti.ing.uniroma1.it/~sfalco/multimcosplay.html This confirms what Oerwinde said...

Our world leader is a disguised chimp! http://www.jcnot4me.com/Items/spoofs/the_bush_monkey.htm Oh no! our dear world will turn out just like in the movie "planet of the apes"!

This can be handled... Once NWN2 ships, Obsidian will have enough money to buy the rights to the game's story and designs. Btw, what happened to the BG3 game which was promised by Atari?
-
The title "BG3" was just an excuse for using a famous licence. The game itself had nothing to do with the Bhaalspawn saga, and even less with the city of BG. It's better to call Jefferson by it's TRUE title, that is "The Black Hound". It could perfectly fit in an expansion or module for NWN2, even if it isn't connected with the OC. Look at SotU, it didn't follow the story of NWN1 and your character started at level 1 and was supposed to reach level 15 by the end. Obsidian could use the same approach for Jefferson, and maybe even create another expansion, in which you will be able to import your character (just like HotU did).

I found an interview dating back to 2004 in which BIO's CEO stated that he intended to release a pc version of the game. Since I did not own an X-Box (and still don't intend to buy one), I was rather happy at the time. But we haven't heard anything about it since then. Did I miss something? http://www.gamebanshee.com/interviews/jadeempire2-2.php (see bottom of the page)
-
Don't get me wrong... the IE was old and it was necessary to move on to newer technologies. However, what I miss is the lack of interesting plots in RPGs, as well as the depth of interacivity with NPCs (both joinable and not joinable). I will never feel again the sense of immersion I felt when playing BG2. Well, we still have NWN and KOTOR... It's better than nothing at all!

Here's a nice article: http://www.theodicyonline.com/carrion/2006...nescape_to.html The funny part is that I believe exactly the same. That is why I wish for Jefferson to be reborn in some kind of way. Producers won't make CRPGs similar to BG in the future. Our last hopes lie within BIO and Obsidian.
-
Well, Obsidian could buy the IP. Moreover, I don't know how intellectual property rights work in the US, but it may be possible for Obsidian to re-use the story to a certain extent.
-
Simply because the story sounded great, and that there is a lack of interesting game plots in CRPGs nowadays... PS: or maybe because I am more stubborn than a mule and that I can't stand losing something that was "promised" to me as a consumer...

Yayy! Another Jefferson topic! Now that Sawyer joined back his old crew, wouldn't you guys want to get a Jefferson unofficial module or official NWN2 expansion? The engine used for NWN2 is by far superior to the Mystary engine and offers much more possibilities. Just think about it! Well, I know it's another one of my pathetic efforts to ressurect a dead guy (I should become a cleric), but you never know... Hope dies last, right? Cheers.

IGN has reviewed the movie and it says that gamers will be disappointed because there aren't any REALLY scary scenes... I wonder if that's true...
-
This one seems quite interesting but I really wondered if it was worth watching. I really liked the games and it appears that the movie's story is more or less similar. For once, it seems that a game was successfully turned into a movie (not like Resident Evil). Yeah, I know, they still made some big changes in SH (the main character is a woman and not our dear friend Harry)... but it doesn't really matter. I have read some good reviews about it but I just wanted a few other opinions before going to the cinema with some friends. Btw, I wondered if I should go see it with friends who have played the game or just with friends who don't care about videogames. I am afraid that the latter will ruin my mood if they start uttering things like "oh, that's a crappy movie". Cheers.

Thanks for your replies. I guess I will have to re-install the traditional anti-spyware programs I had. Someone recommanded me HitmanPro2 which contains all the anti-spyware software existing out there. I have tried it and it's quite convincing. Concerning my hard-drive memory, I just wanted to know if there is a risk for it to "blow up" (as the IT guy said) because there is too little free space. I am writing a thesis for my master degree right now and have several documents related to it. If I lost these, I would be screwed. Is there any imminent risk for my pc or can I live with it ? Anyway, I intended to buy an external drive in two months in order to store all my animes.

Violent video game law scotched by US judge
ramza replied to metadigital's topic in Computer and Console
Well, I don't know about US families, but here in Europe, most parents were not aware of the violence contained in video games at the time I was a kid (late 80s and 90s) and therefore wouldn't forbid their kids from playing these games. Again, there was not as much as violence back then as that you will find in today's games (GTA). Even if I was born later, I don't think that playing GTA would make me a criminal. Common, kids that get violent because of video games constitute a tiny portion of the population. Moreover, these kids already had problems before playing these games. The latter are only the catalyst to violence, not the cause of it. My uncle has a theory that it's not so bad to be able to act violently in virtual worlds since it lets you get rid of some amount of stress. Consequently, you won't feel the urge to act violently in the real world. Same thing goes for movies. -
I am waiting for the new-gen consoles to come out so that I can buy the ps2 and the gamecube a lot cheaper. Moreover, PS2's best games are sold in platinum versions which is a very good think for my wallet.

Lately, I had some probs (with spyware and with my Norton anti-virus) with my computer and I took it to the IT service of my father's office. The guy who took a look at my pc was a bit weird though. He told me to remove any suspicious programs that might download spyware without me knowing it (he particularly pointed out Mozilla Firefox , NWN and various anti-spyware programs I had downloaded -Adaware, Spybot, etc- again). I didn't say anything at that point but I seriously wondered if he was competent at his job or not. He then uninstalled Norton and installed McAfee (antivirus and firewall) and Windows Defender instead. I don't know if these will actually protect my pc from spyware. What do ya think? Also, concerning my hard drive space, I have approximately 50 GBs of maximum memory space but since I almost filled it with various animes, only 2 GBs remain. The guy told me that I ABSOLUTELY had to keep 20% of free space in my hard drive or else my computer was running a risk of breaking down at anytime (meaning that I would lose all my personal files, word documents, etc). Is he right or not?

What happened to the Oblivion Chuck Norris thread?
ramza replied to ramza's topic in Computer and Console
I made a google search and found this: Chuck Norris has a pet chipmunk named Boris Norris. If you tell Chuck that it's cute that Boris rhymes with Norris, he rhymes "your head" with "roundhouse kick." He then gives Boris a cookie for his troubles. -

I also noticed that there was a Chuck Norris mod for Oblivion... man, this guy is either really loved or really hated... anyway, at first, I thought that the character in the video was custom made by using a character face available at character creation... funny stuff... -
What happened to the Oblivion Chuck Norris thread?
ramza replied to ramza's topic in Computer and Console
That's it! Chuck Norris managed to break down the whole website that hosted the video! No kidding! click on the link! -
It mysteriously vanished! Did Chuck strike again? More seriously, I wanted to show the video to a friend of mine and I can't find it on google. Has anyone kept the link? I also said in that thread that I kinda felt sorry for that poor fisherman guy (he was already sad like that, was there any need to kill him? ). Since I didn't have the chance to read any comments made after my post, I ask the question once more: was I the only one to feel pity for that guy? Anyway, I am a quite sensitive person...
-
It completely disappeared! Did someone hack it or what?
-
That's what I had in mind.

Jeff! Where are thou?
