  1. Just give us some NWN2 expansions please!
  2. I still wanna stick to my idea. Both clerics and druids have their share of offensive spells. My main question is whether it will unbalance things if I give them the same spell progession table as the wizard's. Will clerics and druids become weaker if I do this or is it worth putting them on the same level as wizards? Just note that I want to make the cleric similar to the wizard, with the only difference that he casts divine spells instead of arcane ones. Concerning the Druid, he will keep his saving throw, BAB, better armor and better HP. I was just considering lowering the number of spell slots he has since he seems a bit too overpowered.
  3. Thanks for the suggestion and for the offer, Sand! I was still wondering why clerics and druids have more spell uses than wizards do. These classes' main feature is spellcasting and both divine and arcane magic are powerful and deadly. Why can divine spellcasters cast spells more often? Nothing justifies that. Take a look at some FF class-based games, white mages and black mages are equal, they have the same HP and MP, which means they can cast the same number of spells despite their spell lists being different. Another thing: you suggest to give d6 HD to clerics. I prefer to give them d4 instead since nothing proves that clerics are more resilient or more skilled warriors (I am referring to their higher BAB in the official PhB) than wizards are. To my eyes, all they should have are their spells. Basta. No discrimination. I like your idea of scaling the domain abilities. I will take that into account when I will examine those.
  4. I still prefer using WIS since its that stat that you need to understand and channel your god's powers.
  5. I avoid buying any kind of d&d p&p books since they really cost a lot. I just borrow a few books from friends or I look for free stuff on the net. When one tries to create his own personalised Phb for his own p&p sessions, the main problem in changing the official rules is to keep some sort of balance. I don't know if the changes mentioned above are balanced and that is why I am asking for other people's opinion. Thanks anyway for the tip! If a friend of mine has this book, be sure that I will take a look at its content.
  6. Actually, I dont like the whole issue that clerics get automatically all their spells written on their spellbooks. I believe that divine spellcasting is achieved by means of training and learning in such a way that they need to copy their spells from scrolls just a wizards do. I have thought about many more changes in the d&d system and I will post a short list of them in a few days. If you have any other ideas to share, dont hesitate!
  7. When I was 9, I already had a NES, SNES, GB, MasterSystem and MegaDrive (Sega genesis in the US)... how's that?
  8. If I buy a wii, i will make sure to buy the classic gamepad too. I won't last long with that freakish remote control...
  9. I have been trying to modify most of the d&d p&p rules for quite some time since II am not overly satisfied about the way it manages things. I just had a quick question concerning mages and clerics. First of all, I have thought that it was unfair to have only wizards suffer from spellcasting failure when wearing armor, so I extended that to clerics (to balance things, because clerics will also need to spend points in DEX, their turned undead ability will be linked to WIS instead of CHA. I also decided to give clerics the same HP, same saving throws and same BAB as that of wizards. I dont see why they should be handled differently. However, I noticed another significant difference between the two classes, and there comes my question. Clerics have far more spell uses for most spell levels than wizards have. Is that another one of the Phb's inconsistencies or was this made on purpose to balance things since wizards are supposed to have stronger spells than clerics do? I personnally believe that clerics have very strong spells too and they should have the same spell progression table as that of wizards. What do you think?
  10. hey, just make online multiplayer tournaments just to see who's stronger! *grins evilly*
  11. Damn! I wonder if there is any way to get a full manual for us europeans... How about the LG or CE editions (or whatever they are called)?
  12. ok, so who are the NPCs that may betray you? I will be careful enough not to have them in my party...
  13. I think I will just wait till the Wii gets the DVD feature. I am not sure if its worth it though. We have so many dvd-players at home and we barely use them.
  14. The more info I get about this Zelda game, the more i want to get a wii. Ouch my wallet!
  15. I dont know about you guys but even the first NWN sucked when it was released. It was only thanks to the 2 expansion's contents and thanks to the Community's custom-made haks and stuff that made NWN's game experience much more enjoyable. I only started playing the OC (even though I bought the game at its release) when the two expansions got released and don't regret my choice of having waited. I will probably do the same with NWN2.
  16. While I agree with you, I still believe Hxh is a great manga despite its weak points. It is true that art has been on the decline for a while and that the series have been suspended due to its author's sickness. However, if you take the time to read ans actually enjoy the story up to volume 18 (if I remember correctly, that's when the Greed Island arc ends), you will realize that the author has created a very vast world with incredible features and characters. He even goes in many details about how super-powers can be used, how one has to play Greed Island. etc. This is quite a lot of work and it makes it easier for the reader to get immersed into the HxH's world. Even the Chimera Ants arc has its subtleties. The story goes beyond the I-hit-you-you-hit-me-whoa-you-are-strong scheme that DBZ uses. The characters take their time and carefully plan their actions before the final confrontation. It's like a huge game of chess with an incredible number of unpredictable factors. I just like how things have developed so far. There is a lot of suspense...
  17. How can I view those files' content?
  18. You guys are gonna ruin him if you keep mentioning games for PS2. IF (and I would like to stress "if") I ever decide to buy a PS2, that will be after the PS3 is launched. Its price is gonna decrease quite fastly so as to get it at a more reasonable price. My guess is that you should have waited a few months. Anyway, I have skipped all this generation's consoles (PS2, gamecube, etc) and hopefully the next one's too since I don't want to spend my money on that kind of stuff. When I think of all the video games I have bought when I was a kid... I had spend a whole fortune on these (they were worth it, though). And last but not least, my gf disapproves of them so that doesn't make things easier for me.
  19. Can someone please tell if there are any implications in the game if one decides to take the Shadow Thief and/or the NwnNine prestige classes? Will NPCs react to this or is this a feature just for the players (eye candy)?

  21. I did like FF:AC but mostly for its graphics, characters and cool (even though DBZ-ish) fights. The plot was definitely lacking but it was obvious the producers didn't want to focus on it.
  22. 3 remarks to all the above posts: 1) Akira the movie utterly sucks. It is only a (very) short edition of what happens in the manga. The manga's story is more coherent since no scenes have been cut, and has more depth. 2) NGE is a very controversed series. By looking at the characters' wild personnalities and complicated problems, you can tell the guy who made it is a weirdo (I am not surprised to learn that he had a mental breakdown, since all his characters are mentally depressed in one way or another). The story is good though. It has depth and closely examines the psychological and philosophcal aspects of human relations. I am also one of the few who liked the 2 last episodes. However, I wish End of Evangelion was never made. It just doesn't make any sense, most of the characters "die" in it and just doesn't offer a more satisfying ending that episode 26 offered. It just made the story more absurd. And I dont like how they implemented PC special effects in it (NGE was one of the last animes to be hand-drawn). 3) Elfen lied is ... very disturbing... but not bad. Most people criticize the excessive bloodshed in it, and I agree with them even though I kinda got used to it. While most of my friends almost puked when they were watching it, I was laughing like crazy because it was way too absurd to seem realistic. It just didn't convince me. The series had good ideas and interesting characters but the guy who made it (a psycho, I tell you) prefered to focus on unnecessary violence. The reasons the main character turned bad are not convinving enough and I still don't understand how everyone is mean to her (there are good people too in this world). They also added a small romance to spice things a little. meh...
  23. Hasn't anyone played the Penultima series? Those ones rock! You really ought to try them.
  24. Grave of the Fireflies is a HORRIBLE movie. It almost made me cry. It was so sad... people don't deserve to watch so sad movies...
  25. I found the following thread to be interesting but I don't know if it is THAT accurate. Maybe the guy is just a whiner. I am gonna get the game anyway... http://www.sorcerers.net/cgi-bin/ultimateb...opic/28/55.html discuss.
