this could go in alternative facts. trump tweeted regarding the appellate court decision. http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/factcheck/ap-fact-check-trump-selectively-quotes-from-a-legal-blog/ar-AAmOqj4?ocid=spartanntp mr. wittes response to trump alternative facts is classic: "#NotesFromUnderTrump, Day 22: So thanks, Mr. President, for endorsing my work. You've found the only sentence in it congenial to your views." HA! Good Fun!

oh, well, if wod says so. *snort* HA! Good Fun!

http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trumps-refugee-ban-and-the-legal-battle-over-it-quicktake-qanda/ar-AAmNXTG?ocid=spartanntp worth listening to the video, particularly as he repeats Gromnir observation 'bout the procedural due process issue. trump would be smart to simple rewrite his terrible authored order. hope he doesn't. HA! Good Fun!

"Subverter" or "Renegade" are definitely cool. The vernacular for 'knave' makes it not work, and heretic/apostate are too real-world context specific, imho. There was a DnD 2nd ed class in the Dragonlance literature of "con artist" that I'd always thought of as vaguely priestly. Especially after one of them convinced a friend of mine's (cleric) character to commit suicide... It was the last stupid thing that character ever did.. heh -tid242 On this combination, my second thought was "charlatan" or "montebank" but both have fairly negative connotations in 'the real world' (as does Con-Artist). Then I got to thinking that a wandering priest with no set parish or flock might take to roguish ways as a way to protect themselves on the road without becoming overtly martial, so...Pilgrim maybe? Or at a stretch Pundit for both its current meaning in English (an expert who gives their opinion in public) and its original meaning in Hindi (its derrived from paṇḍitá, someone who is knowledgeable and performs ceremonies outside of the Temple)? My first thought was to call them a "Tuck" after Friar Tuck from the Merry Men... ringmaster? HA! Good Fun!

http://www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/health-july-dec02-jfk_11-18/ is not simple that kennedy gave a false impression o' health. during democratic nomination, lbj hired private investigators to dig into kennedy's health issues. investigations turned up addison's and other stuff... which were leaked to the public. kennedy categorical denied. were just one example o' kennedy alternative facts. HA! Good Fun!

spicer pressers make more sense if you imagine him wearing an orange jumper and kneeling. HA! Good Fun!

never had much difficulty with such. a friendly warning or two were usual enough if the dm/gm were competent. the rules lawyers come 'pon an enemy mage, a mage in possession o' two unique scrolls. before, or perhaps after, zagyg's apotheosis, he created two unique summoning spells: Swarm of Disenchanters, and Murder of Rust Monsters. the insane mage the rules lawyers is confronting happens to have scrolls o' both spells, and he is itching (literally) to use 'em. kinda encounter happens once and rules-lawyering stops. HA! Good Fun!

TWO dragons. Ever since White March, one dragon seems so lackluster am s'posing, given the nautical theme, one could mix things up a bit and occasional have a sea (dragon) serpent and a kraken in the island's lagoon. perhaps a leviathan and a kraken, or a sea serpent and a leviathan? y'know, just for sake o' variety. HA! Good Fun!

godlike suck. is not only the name, but the name don't help neither. is somebody at obsidian a valley girl? can imagine discussing naming nomenclature for races during poe development when the hypothetical obsidian girl contributes. "'cause, y'know, our plane-touched race is so totally awesome. they're, y'know, like gods, but not. they're so totally rad and like god like." rest is history. but serious, godlike suck. HA! Good Fun!

a week of trump tweets http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/factcheck/what-trump-got-wrong-on-twitter-this-week-supernumber5/ar-AAmNioy?ocid=spartanntp is kinda amazing he can keep up this rate o' falsehood. kennedy had a penchant for misstatement, but nothing like what we are seeing from the current wh. am suspecting much o' trump falsehood is less a result o' machination than it is simple his ignorance coupled with impulse control issues. am not reassured by our observation. HA! Good Fun!

trump is doing so much crazy it is impossible to contain in a single thread. if you keep all in one place, then the magpies 'mongst the board population get easily distracted by the brightest shiny object and a discussion 'bout building a border wall sudden morphs into a debate 'bout terrorism or spicer's daily hostage video, or something complete different. HA! Good Fun!

During the Q&A he also mentioned that Fighter + Barbarian would be Brute and Rogue + Wizard would be Spellblade. Thanks for the info mate. I like most of those except "avenger". I mean, who is he avenging? Do all druid/rogues have someone to avenge? It just doesn't have much to do with the classes abilities. well, the avenger kit and sub class has been druid staples for many years. those who would defile nature is victims o' the avenger's wrath.... or somesuch. am pretty sure 3.0-3.5 avenger were having a bit o' the barbarian power. bg2 kit avenger were getting a few wizard spells. and as we always loathed druids in pnp, we cannot tell you for certain what were the actual 2e avenger kit, but am thinking it were an extra weapon proficiency slot. suggestions: chanter+paladin = choirmaster monk+paladin = penitent monk + priest = friar priest + paladin = librarian kidding. but serious, a 40k crpg needs to be a thing. HA! Good Fun!

*chuckle* wod is the one talking nonsense, and judicial review o' executive actions regarding national security and immigration is hardly unprecedented. perhaps worst for the wh is that the appellate court, a diverse group which includes bush, obama and even a carter appointee, were unanimous in identifying the ultimate bogeyman in the mess that is the travel ban executive order: procedural due process. like it or not, many folks affected by the travel ban can raise 5th amendment due process whether they is citizens or not, and individual states can raise a claim on behalf o' those with such rights. put it in visual terms easy to understand: honest, if this thing were to make it to the SCOTUS, we predict it would be a 7-1 decision with trump on the losing end, and not 4-4 as some folks imagine. the order were poorly drafted, and the appellate court, while not pulling any punches, laid out a pretty nice road map the wh can use to fix where they went wrong. smart move would be for trump to start over with a new order and get it right this time. the good thing for trump haters everywhere is, given trump's all caps response we quoted above, he is not gonna be smart. HA! Good Fun!

we got no problem going this way, but am not certain what manifested has in mind. typically, "pirate" would be a theme, so how do we narrow or refine to make it unique and yet accessible? most theme notions coming immediate to our mind is tending towards humorous. not intentional neither. honest. when leferd pointed out how he didn't want the pirates to say, "arr!" we inexplicable thought o' pirates with australian accents who are obsessed with acquiring refined luminous adra, which they nickname "juice." what else? retired corporate raiders. former members o' the VTC who sold their stock, bought an island? pirates who mutinied 'cause their captain became obsessed with chasing the leviathan? undead pirates? no. just no. am honest a bit stymied at the moment. am trying to think serious, but keeps becoming funny, 'cause anything serious sounds even worse in our head. ex-slave pirates. why? because. privateers in the employ o' one o' the dyrwood lords, or the duc himself, tasked with raiding aedyr ships. somebody wanna get this started? somebody not Gromnir. HA! Good Fun!

well, in the context o' deciding 'pon theme, am suspecting we can make that a choice, no? if folks would prefer to come up with broad guidelines for obsidian and let the developers complete run with it from there, we don't see an issue. wanna kinda put in your own words and suggest? am assuming fluffle is gonna keep track o' themes. we kinda assumed folks wouldn't be on the same page at this point. quicker we get some kinda consensus the better, yes? HA! Good Fun!
-
keep in mind we are talking 'bout the request o' an emergency stay o' a tro. might not be quite what some folks thinks it means. HA! Good Fun!

kinda missing the point if you see progress. is an anachronistic to reinject an early edition d&d anachronism into poe-- a game which is finally shedding itself o' such baggage. we already got food and drugs which can increase spell effectiveness. add bloat via anachronism. am not seeing an upside. HA! Good Fun!

Yes, I'd say that the difference between not being able to cast a spell at all without a resource and not being able to cast a particular augmented form of a spell is an essential one. The former restricts access to the basic features of a class, while the latter only limits a particular casting option that already has a built-in, component-free, alternative in the form of Empowerment. am not seeing why you think this makes better. you would effective be buying uses of empower with a resource. empower is a basic feature. *shrug* HA! Good Fun!

sure it is. am honest not seeing the disconnect. you create an arbitrary limit on spell casting: a resource o' as yet undefined scarcity. the resource is needed to cast an augmented spell. distinguish 'tween augmented and standard is illusory. if you wanna cast an augmented fireball, you need a wuzzle, or whatever. is somehow essential different 'cause there is no limit on casting the base spell? why? is an anachronism. stuff salt in its mouth and sew it shut. cut off its head. burn it. whatever. HA! Good Fun!
