  1. Playing out the rope far enough ... ... there's gunna be a lynching!
  2. Indubitably.
  3. But are you running along a beach, wearing a bikini, in slow motion? Anyway, I'm listening to: Back to Bedlam (James Blunt)
  4. I M TEH ROXX0R NEENJA MASTAH KILLAH !!111!!!ELEVEN1! SO YEH, RARRR!!!
  5. Use olive oil instead of butter. it's healthier, and tstes better. Do what the Sumo Wrestlers do, eat a bowl of pasta and then have a nap; that'll add some pounds. (Recently heard that carbs make you sleepy, whereas protein wakes you up, too, for what its worth.)
  6. He was a street fighter, so I guess so (the ear thing didn't come from left field).
  7. Thank Kaftan, he did if for me. (I think I'll shrink it down a bit, I look like a wide boy from Essex, or some sort of ghetto bling addict ...)
  8. If someone sticks up their hands like that in front of me, unless they've done twenty years of it, I smile.
  9. 183.5 cm and 61 kilos here. I think I've got you beat. I've got the metabolism of a ferret, and I'm also very fidgety. (research shows people who couldn't sit still if their live depended on it are probably skinny) Anyone got advice on gaining weight besides such sillyness as eating more? I eat four meals a day and basically snack all day long, plus eat loads of fruit. No, it's not a medical condition. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, I saw a nutritionalist back in the 80s (before it was trendy), and I had the same complaint as you, Neutral. Basically, remember the food pyramid at all times. Her advice to me was to add olive oil to salads and food in general. Olive oil is good because it is mono-unsaturated and can be eaten cold. Don't eat fried foods, heating oil chages its chemical composition (to polysaturated and worse, full of free radicals). One of my favourite meals is pasta added to a plate of olive oil and tabasco (with salt and cracked pepper, to taste). Add half-a-dozen olives or some capers for some piquancy. (Not that I have a problem adding weight now, the metabolism tends to slow down after thirty. And my partner is a good cook.) Oh, chilli is good for imcreasing your metabolism, so you might want to try it without.
  10. I am pleased that you achieved a secondary level education before you began your professional criminal career.
  11. I thought it was a poll to see if anyone voted in the "Game of the Year" poll. As opposed to a poll as to whether one voted for KotOR:TSL for the Game of the Year. ... I didn't vote in the poll. And if I had, I wouldn't have voted for KotOR2.
  12. Purely for research, eh Calax?
  13. ... So just spam, then.
  14. Wow! Too long. Break up your posts, man, I've got eyestrain from scrolling through it!
  15. A lot of ex-heroine addicts have become (quite successful) long distance runners. This is because the endorphins released by running (because you're body is in terrible pain) have a similar effect to the opiates. So one sort of (unhealthy) addiction (heroine) is replaced by a much healthier one (long distance running). I knew a friend of a friend who used to run everywhere, eschewing taxis. 20km? No problem. Run with a little backpack, get there after a couple of hours, and then enjoy the place and then leave. (Of course, any schedule-dependent activities require appropriate adjustments in lead-times.)
  16. What were the odd years like?
  17. One of the books on my to-read pile is The Luck Factor by some Psych professor at the University of Hatfield, who did quite an interesting indepth study about unlucky people and managed to turn 80% or so around ... (so, yes, there are some "hard-luck" cases out there that can't be helped ...!
  18. I think a Long Island Iced Tea, or a Mule will give you just as big a kick as a Mai Thai.
  19. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?
  20. R2 is the secret protagonist of the sextilogy.
  21. Well, that makes a bit more sense, I suppose (only a bit, though). So why would the intelligence / soul inside the clone let the emperor do this? Bevel sounds like that character in The Sixth Day that Arnie keeps killing ...
  22. I am not against copy protection, per se. I am against anything that destabilises my pc, or interferes unduly in the operation of it, including but not limited to, the game in question. For example, I don't mind Steam, as I have an internet link, and (although the initial installation took the best part of half a day to verify and decrypt the files from the DVD with a key from the internet), once it was installed I was able to use it off line and without the DVD. I had a big problem with the official NwN module expansions, because the did an internet check before each save game could be restored as well as when the modules were installed. This made the process of restoring save games almost completely untenable, and I have not played any of those modules since.
  23. KotOR2: The Fanboy's Hubris
  24. Why would a being want their clone to take over after their demise? That's not different to a close friend, apprentice, child, etc. There is no link. Especially when you consider the training that must be necessary to create a "clone" of the person's personality ... Very silly conceit.
