Revan & the Exile's gender/alignment

I play females to the exclusiion of males, whenever possible. -
Well, you could play a game where you just go out to get influence with him instead of one/some of the others ... just to see (and to role play a bit ... ")

KotoR 3: Ideas and Suggestions

Does that mean that game play would need to include the z axis, unlike the previous titles ...? -
Tolkien wrote it in the interregnum between 1918 (where he fought in the trenches, hence the reference to the battlefield bog) and 1945, so yes, it does reflect his personal take on the World Wars. Hence his very downbeat take on "humanity" (as expressed in the characters and races of M.E.), such as the bit at the end of Return of the King, where Saruman takes over the Shire. NZ is a nice place. Pity about all the Kiwis living there.

It's actually not. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hey...come out of Lala Land, will you? Star Wars is classified as Science Fiction. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> RP's point was that, although it might be fictional, it ain't science-based. Which is true. There is no concession made for any of the normal laws of physics or chemistry (save for those it was impracticle to avoid, like gravity). You could transcribe the SW story onto a Seventeenth Century Pacific setting, with Spanish Galleons, Dutch and English traders and warships and not lose any plot. It is a "romantic" (or "swashbuckling") adventure. It's more Flash Gordon than I, Robot.

Except the scenery contains loads of ferns ... whcih aren't indigenous to the supposed geography of Middle Earth.

Yeah, that was it. And (obviously) the Coreans weren't too pleased about the whole deal with the Nipon Imperialists.

Um, isn't all this info in the preceeding pages? -
Probably to make them seem evil. Putting K's in the name of a country always makes it sound evil or dystopian. Amerika, Kanada. And Korea. We shouldn't be worried about terrorists with nukes, since it's the letter K that really hates our freedom. I say we turn Sesame Street into a glass parcing lot. That'll show those pescy letter K's who's boss. " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think it was something even more childish than that, actually: more to do with which country came first alphabetically (or the letter C is more important than K for some other reason that escapes me). They changed it back for the dual-hosting (with Japan, natch) of the last (football/soccer) World Cup

I think my TOMBS analysis has taken over the "real" Jags ... *pinkie* -
We're talking about the Star Wars universe, here...You're mind is still in the real world. Believe, it all sounds silly, I know. But the Star Wars universe is bizarr. They had lightsabers in the "ancient" times. It's a universe that is both more advanced and less advanced than our own. Remember the Rakata Droid in the ruins on Dantooine? That droid was over 10, 000 years old. Mind you, the little guy was in one spot the whole time, but didn't do a whole lot of moving around. We don't know how "their" technology works. The things that they have, the weapons they use, the droids, their spacecraft...that's all highly advanced, but the way that they live, and setting itself gives everything about the Star Wars universe a very antiquated feel. Yes, metal around here rusts and whatnot, but they don't have the same periodic table that we have. They have highly advanced alloys that resist corrosion regardless of the environment or time spent in it. It's a f***ed up world, I know. But just try to stay opened minded about all of this. After all...it's science fiction. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Marvin managed to live several complete lengths of the universe (admitedly he was pretty lame by the end). You forgot teleportation and inhabitable worlds within several hours' travel. I always considered the spectrum to reach from Fantasy (Tolkien et alia) through Science Fantasy (including the romantic

Bingo. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So, in the bigger picture of reducing totalitarianism across the world, helping the Palestinians establish a state of their own is a Good Thing. We just need to help them control Hamas and Hizbollah (I think murder is justified in certain circumstances).

I can't remember the details off-hand, but the Chinese have a new handy-dandy tank that (iirc) beats the stats on the Abrams. Not sure how many they've got, though. Also, I know China has equipt their armed forces (at least in part) with lasers to permanently blind opponents. I suspect, though, that the powers-that-be would be more interested in softening up a target like China with biological warfare, first. (Who know, maybe that's what this avian flu is ... ) If 90% of a population is either dead or too sick to fight, it makes the warfare a lot easier. (The Daleks did it to the Earthlings in 2150.) No wonder considering Japan colonization efforts in Korea, I dont think Japan is much popular even in South Korea or China (another country that known too well Japanese colonialism and imperialism). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ... Not to mention they changed how to spell Corea ...

Definetely agree with this. Though her writing's quality may be debatable, the importance of children reading cannot be under overstated. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Spellmar knows what you were trying to say.

It doesn't matter if one is not a terrorist himself. If one harbors, supports, or simply doesn't act against them, they are as guilty of their acts as the terrorists themselves. That is the problem with the Palestinians. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I agree. But at the moment there is little political will to fast-track a state of Palestine. I think a lot of people underestimate how good Palestine can be for the region. Palestinian culture is a lot more moderate than most of the Arab states, e.g. women are higher educated on average. This is one reason why the Palestinians are so oppressed: it is useful for the other Arab states to have them there ... Well, I'm not sure I'd like another Gorbachov taking care of this situation. You know, messing everything up with unrealistic plans, and then leaving the clean up of his mess to others in the next decades is not quite what I would call "a recipe for success". <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sure, he may not have fixed everything perfectly, but he did have the last bit of the KGB trying to remove him ... also, I was lauding his initiative as a statesman, i.e. recognising and effecting an opportunity to step back from "three minutes to midnight". Absolutely.

" Hamas can only be controlled by the Palestinians. By taking away the kindling that gives their fire fuel. If there is a Palestine, then the extremists in Hamas can be isolated by the Palestinians. The harder Israel leans on the people of Palestine, the angrier they get, and the more recruits to their cause. If there is a Palestinian voice that is trident about peace, those who tire of war have a beacon to rally behind. I'm alive today largely because they did, so I don't need quite so much convincing. You keep quoting the extremist Hamas viewpoint as if it is the entire Palestinian population's; it isn't. There are plenty of Jewish extremists, too, calling for the total genocide of all Arabs, with the justification for genocide being (they want to kill all of us". It is a very complex issue. I believe that this Gaza withdrawal, overseen by the Israeli government, is the next step in the long walk to peaceful co-existence. At the very least it gives Israel a bargaining chip in further negotiations; goodwill invested now may be the difference later. What is truly missing is a stateman of the calibre of Mikhail Gorbachov; unfortunately men like he come around far too infrequently. Sien Fein and the IRA are two brothers. I do not judge one brother for the actions of the other. Sien Fein preaches peace and diplomacy. The IRA does not. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Palestinian Authority, Hamas. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Gerry Adams is a member of the IRA Council. So the leader of Sinn F
