Fascinating. I'm not off the station yet, but whoever said 'Folks, this is the Empire of the series' seems to have it quite right. Incidentally, my guardian seems much more powerful (relatively) than a soldier in the first game was at level 6. Can't wait to get back home and pick up where I left off. The logistics of Revan being alive and the PC meeting him/her seems too difficult to implement to be a realistic possibility. We can't see Revan's face because he/she may have had up to 20 or so faces. If Revan is wearing robes and a mask, how will he/she identify him/herself as Revan other than saying 'Hey guys, I'm Revan.' Does this mean that 'Revauun' (added 'u's to signify imposter status, like Luuke and Joruus) isn't an imposter? I hope Revan's dead, because nothing else will explain to me why Revan isn't out being Revan. Except another mindwipe in which case, I'll probably kill myself.

Kotor is story driven. If the graphics are at least good enough to not detract from the story (and the story's good) I'll be giddy.

Page 8 of this thread reads like this crap paper I wrote drunk at 5 am for a Latin American Revolutions class in my freshman year of college. The professor was Colombian-born and so I figured if I used infrequent (and sometimes incorrect) lexicology and uncommon (borderline Shakespearean) grammatical patterns I could obfuscate the inescapable veracity of the notion that I knew punctiliously nothing about the Nicaraguan revolution. I think I got, like, a c minus or something, but on the bright side, I got my paper back about two weeks after everyone else, presumably because the professor had to use a dictionary or get help in grading it. At least I stuck it to the man. What are the excuses of the page 8 posters for writing this sophomore termpaper crap and passing it off as intellectualism?

The HK thing proves more to me than the pic does (I thought the graphics looked rather shabby-thanks for everyone who recognized it as a placeholder). Although I've been thinking for a while that logically Revan is either: The guy/girl ultimately looking for you (though the face option in the first makes this prospect difficult since a lightside Revan wouldn't be wearing a sith mask and even if he/she wore some other mask, would have no way of verifying that he/she was Revan aside from saying: I'm Revan). There are so many problems with the plot tree becaue of the Freedom in choices in the first Kotor, that I'll be impressed if this can be pulled of, albeit disappointed. Dead (most likely). This makes the most sense from a writing standpoint since Revan should be out being Revan unless he/she ran into someone stronger and was killed. or Brainwashed (again). As I said in another thread, I'm going to throw eggs and tomatoes at the monitor if this happens.

I'm a PC user, but I'll probably get to play at least a little of TSL at Christmas when I visit my brother. I really don't want to see any threads relating to release dates. However, reading over some of the posts here and elsewhere, I do find it kind of odd that some PC users have a holier-than-thou attitude towards their X-Box counterparts. This might be because X-Box users tend to be younger and, if anything separates teenagers from adults, it is a sense of tact, nuance and the appropriate. Tactlessness tends to annoy adults, even twenty-somethings like myself. That having been said, looking down on an X-Box user because one is a PC user is absurd. What's to be proud of, that our Bill Gates brainwash device has varying wallpaper?

On a serious note: Danzig's Black Aria has a classical feel that might fit, but only if Lucifer appears in the game.

It'd be cool if the watchman and assassin specialized in different things. If the assassin was like a scoundrel (sneak attacks and such) and the watchman was way better at persuade options than any other class.

Fable's probably the stiffest competition for RPG of the Year, so it looks like KOTOR2 will run away with that one. Game of the year, considering the hype and expectations met, will probably be a two horse show between Halo 2 (who wants their avatar to be a guy in a short bus helmet with a name that suggests he'd be better suited to making a mean dish of plutzak than killing the guys from that Riddick movie) and GTA: San Andreas (not a criticism and not that I care, but was anyone surprised by the overwhelming amount of expletives thrown at you in this game?).
