  1. yes it can be done, but (and this is just my opinion) why would you want to know how to do it BEFORE you play through yourself? wouldnt it be more interesting if you play through the game once, THEN if you couldnt figure it out, ask? maybe its just me, but id rather learn this stuff first, then only "ruin" it for myself if i had trouble with it.
  2. btw, is there a link to this article? unless i missed it, all the original poster did was post about a short little piece from it.
  3. id still rather wait for an official announcement. ive seen too many "rumors" turn out to be false over the past few years, even on so called reputable magazine/websites/etc.
  4. hey i never said they were good reasons. i just said they could explain those few details.
  5. kotor2 doesnt list "failed" missions, therefore ones that werent completed, or "failed" remain active. i dont think what you saw was an actual bug, but more the fact that there is no section for "failed" quests.
  6. i think this falls under fixing dialogue, and yes i too would like to see it fixed. it got to the point where i thought perhaps revan spent the past 5 years getting a sex change.
  7. i think its more a case of bastila being upset that you would actually freely give the location away, rather than her being upset that you gave away some big secret. dark side corruption is easy when the person is blinded by anger and a taste for revenge. dustils planet got destroyed and felt his father deserted them. its easier to influence someone and make them think a certain thing is "ok", even if to the rest of us it obviously isnt. thats why they say that falling to the dark side is often something the person doesnt see themselves doing until its too late. this more than likely assumes calo saw you with them before you meet canderous, either in the slums appartment complex when he kills those two rodians, or in the cantina when he kills those three aliens. either of those times you were more than likely with carth and/or bastila, and thus he might have put 2 and 2 together. the rest im in agreement with, but the ones i quoted i think those explanations work.
  8. hmm...depends whether background information and such appeals to you. if you truly feel you need to know everything there is to know about the kotor series, then get kotor1 first. to be honest, if i had to get just one of the two, im not sure which one i would get. im partial towards kotor1, but kotor2 is sort of a more "updated" version of the kotor series storyline.
  9. refer back to my first response. i think youre remembering kotor1 with rose colored glasses, because it had bugs, crashes, and other technical problems as well, even after a couple of patches.
  10. theres references to characters and events from kotor, but largely the story is about the new character and most of the dialogue will fill in the questions you may have.
  11. im surprised at you volo. youre taking that line too literally. i already stated above why youre the one the sith are hunting, and furthermore, once you actually play the ENTIRE game, the dialogue will fill in why that line is used. honestly, like i said on codex, you might want to play through the entire game before finding faults with certain plotpoints, because most of what youve already complained about, storywise, is explained throughout the game.
  12. i havent got mine yet either. although i also havent ordered it yet either.
  13. this is a known bug (or atleast others have posted about it).
  14. id rather they waited until they had a few more known issues brought to them so they can fix most, if not all, bugs in one patch, rather than having to do patch after patch because they rushed the patch out each time someone had an issue.
  15. how did atris ever get a spot on the jedi council? she seems like too much of a weak-minded fool to me.
  16. im waiting for a patch. that way hopefully some of the modders will have had time to make some impressive additions as well.
  17. its working fine now. hmm...maybe my internet provider was just trying to annoy me the past couple of days.
  18. again, dont exaggerate. it happened often in kotor1 as well. if you dont want to take my word for it, try the old bioware tech forums about kotor1, especially pre-final patch. never experienced this. no comment. i have the xbox version and mine was fine 99% of the time. some spelling errors? yes, and that is unacceptable. but many? dont exaggerate. never seen that happen. ever. such as? i can think of ONE side quest that seemed incomplete. if that is the only one youre referring to, again, this is the third time you exaggerated to try and prove your point.
  19. there is logic. although youre cut off from the force (ie. cannot use the force to begin with), your presense in the force, as you grow stronger, becomes apparent. the reason the sith hunt you is for 2 reasons: 1)the other jedi are in hiding, thus "hiding" their force presense, whereas the exile is just a big walking "look at me! i have force powers!" sign, and 2)*very spoilerish. if you want to wait until you finish the game to read this part*
  20. ive attempted swoop racing two times total in kotor2 after attempting it 3 or 4 times total in kotor1 (excluding the "mandatory" swoop race on taris). needless to say i dont care much for swoop racing, regardless of whether it works or not. [/random comment about swoop racing]
