Romance in KoTOR 2
Who wants Shakespeare ? Try this on for size, Bastila on the Starforge: Love me slou And love me drou And love me layde on bere. Love is my pes, for love I ches, Man to buyen dere. (Love killed me And love dragged me And love laid me on the bier. Love is my peace, and for love I chose, To redeem mankind at great cost.) John Grimstone, 1372 Ok, I'm exaggerating a bit, but a bit more style to the romance wouldn't hurt

Romance in KoTOR 2
It has been suggested that madness and genius have a common source. When the brain processes stimuli, it "learns" to discard information that it considers irrelevant. For some unknown reason, some people doesn't develop these inhibitors and the brain is more "open" for input, which other peoples brains might observe, but discard as irrelevant. These people are frequently called "creative", as they can observe things, where others can not (e.g. artists etc.). In extreme cases, the information becomes overwhelming and a high intelligence is required to process the information. These people are able to utilize input in ways most other people can't. These are often referred to as "geniuses" (e.g. Einstein etc.). If a person lacks inhibitors and the intelligence to process it, they succumb to "madness" (i.e. they tend to lose their grip on reality) Sometimes people starts out with low inhibitors and high intelligence, but eventually the mind tires, intelligent or not, and madness sets in after a period of brilliance. Interesting field of researh, but I'm currently too lazy to look up the links for the source...

Romance in KoTOR 2
They are too young Opus, too young... They probably weren't around 6-7 years ago when it was made popular by PS:T and BG2 (which did much better jobs of it) Edit: I've been told that some Final Fantasy game also did a good job of it an age ago.

The Holy Plasma Grenade of Antioch. Make thy foe scatter over a large area. Dismemberment for beginners- Best Star Wars game
X-Wing vs. Tie fighter. The only other Star Wars object I own besides Kotor- KOTOR 2 Dismemberment Poll
It gives new meaning to fighting disarmed opponents... As a big bad Sith, I really wanted to beat my opponent to death slowly with his severed limb. B)- Romance in KoTOR 2
ARGHHH!!! http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=836- To finally settle it
To show my dissatisfaction with the possible choices in the vote ? If there had been a "I dont give a damn one way or the other", I would have voted. While this isn't a democracy, low participation is a common way of displaying, that neither of the candidates are of interest.- Fascism and the Sith
I think the Sith have borrowed a few doctrines here and there from systems that are generally labelled as evil by the winning sides What I wouldn't give to be able to read a history book in 500 years time...- To finally settle it
Then I'll join the club and actively not vote.- Anti-Carth Club
I fail to see the relation to Kotor2:The Sith Lords ?- Anti-Carth Club
These threads about Carth are in serious need of deletion, being completely off topic for a Kotor2 discussion (or move them to WoT) . Zzzzz.....- Romance in KoTOR 2
I second the sentiment. Ravel's love for the Nameless One is anything but 'cliched' and 'pre-teen.' ^^ Right- FULL E3 REVIEW
I would like to study a Selkath in a decompression chamber...- KOTOR / KOTOR 2 is moddable after all
The day I see the finished product, and in a condition that I would want to spend my precious time on it... then I'll believe it- Romance in KoTOR 2
I never saw that one. It's probably a console game (I don't own any consoles), but I did have a lot of fun playing around with Lara Croft. If people had the same interests, there wouldn't really be a need for Kotor2, they could just have put what people wanted in Kotor1. I'm as "guilty" as the next game player in finding game romances intriguing, but I prefer a more subtle approach, like the one in PS:T, where old romances from your previous lives were an integral part of the story.- Romance in KoTOR 2
I was partially expressing a worry about some peoples fascination with pixellated people and partially poking fun at you. Romances adds a nice touch to games, but unless the game is about the romance, it should take backseat (no pun intended) in deference of the main story. If "romances" are to be done well (which I didn't think they were in Kotor1), they require a lot of resources (scripting, writing, testing, voice acting etc.) which has a detrimental effects on those parts of the game that gets sacrificed for it. Oh, and- Romance in KoTOR 2
^^ You are easy to satisfy. ^^ Perhaps, that says more about the crowd. ^^ :D All the little Romeos. ^^ Girlfriends must be in serious short supply somewhere... ^^ B) Try "Leasure Suit Larry" Kotor2 definitely need more work put into the NPC's and the story, the usefulness of skills, etc. There is only so much developer resources to go around. So what are they going to do with that time ? A Star Wars game or soft porn ?- How far will customization go?
:D 36-22-36 ? I couldn't care less. I picked a slightly european guy/girl in my games, because it was easier to identify with. Had there only been one, it wouldn't matter either. Edit: And it was ^&%$ difficult to play a girl! Impossible to identify with- Most Important Features
Voted for NPCs more responsive to alignment because my first choice wasn't present. Immersive story Characterizations Ease of use game interface Lowest on the list, the dress up my avatar in the latest fashion foppery options...- OT from "Q's to Devs"
The Grammar Gestapo strikes back... Perhaps just provide a link to an online dictionary ? Not everybody here has English as their first language. Heck, Boromir could keep on fighting with a handful orc arrows attached to his body. Nothing beats dismembering. Anybody remember MP's Holy Grail ? 'Tis but a flesh wound! Watch Episode One again. Doesn't Kenobi's lightsaber stop working after full immersion? I take it that they're water resistant, but not proof. So, you can use your lightsaber during the rainy season, but the warranty is void, if used for underwater combat. Generally, using appliances under water is a bad idea. Apart from the slow movement and the joke with the shark combat, the sub water levels weren't really that bad. They actually had a slightly claustrophobic feel to them, because of the confined spaces and because of the vulnerability you felt, unable to fight properly, when leaving the buildings. They missed the opportunity to steal a bit from Thief. I wonder if there will be levels in Kotor2, where you have to negotiate hostile territory in a non-violent manner ?- Romance in KoTOR 2
The Bastila romance was silly. She showed about as much warmth and passion as a tax statement. While being very young (juvenile) and inexperienced, might explain her behaviour. I would have preferred one of them twi'lek dancers any day. I'm not going to quote CA's answer to the romance thing again, but it does look like they are taking relationships a bit more seriously this time around. - KOTOR 2 Dismemberment Poll
