  1. I miss the good old days when it showed member numbers... i occasionally got asked why i had number 666 😈
  2. What if you're half dead/half alive? Get half the insurance sum? 😛 I have a bit of insurance together with my pension fund. A lump sum In case of permanent disability and a two years income insurance if not permanent. Less if I die outright, then just enough for a nice funeral.
  3. Rear facing machine guns... yikes. Talk about 1970's technology level. Looking at the before, after and side views for the first plane, it looks like someone blew up the tanker parked there.
  4. I couldn't say. Never had a shingles vaccine. Got a tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough) and Diphteria vaccine a year and a half ago. I think it cost me $30 Australian or so (22-25 USD iirc). I really only needed the whooping cough vaccine, as it was all because of friends of mine having a baby and that thing is detrimental to the future of babies if you bring it to their home (I got to hold the little girl two weeks after she was born 🥰). They didn't ask for it, but I thought it prudent. Only after she pulled the needle out of my shoulder did she (the pharmacist) tell me it could be a bit sore because it also had tetanus vaccine in it (which I had no idea about before getting the shot) 😂 But it wasn't exactly a financial burden (like 3 cups of Cappuccino at a cafe) and it was entirely optional. Covid vaccines have been free so far. Edit: Doctor visits every 6 months, getting prescriptions and requisitions for blood tests etc. are free. Because of my geezerdom I assume. Old and frail people like me need help after all 😛
  5. A number of dead tank operators where the reactive armour was missing the explosives, may disagree on that. If it can be sold, odds are, somebody might have tried to pawn it off for a bit of cash and a bottle of vodka. Edit: Who's going to discover it anyway, there are so many missiles and Russia is not at war after all. It can't hurt with a little bonus before the holidays (which is in early January for the Orthodox Christians, if I remember correctly what my Serbian friends told me)
  6. @Raithe confession time, the only one of those I've seen is the 73 version with Christopher lee 🤔 I've read the books a couple of times, but the last time was probably 30 years ago. I think I would like to read them again (as well as The Count of Monte Christo, also a book I used to be fond of)
  7. Just sitting here, wishing for cold drinks. Doesn't even have to be beer, that's how bad it is 😝
  8. Richelieu makes for an interesting villain (imho). A ruthless antagonist that's acting in the interest of the state (and himself by extension, being an important cog in the machinery that is the state).
  9. Why let facts get in the way of a good lawsuit? Edit: Less facetious, if you are looking for a way to accomplish an agenda, the details are sometimes unimportant as long as a goal is accomplished, in this case getting the Supreme Court to make policy and become a partisan part of government, enabling policies you desire for whatever reason motivates you
  10. Now you sound like a certain kanadian dwarf lover 😁
  11. Necromancer is a bit of a nostalgic thing more than any rational thing. My first Warhammer Fantasy general (35 years ago) was a powerful necromancer. I've often missed those "good old days", when a powerful necromancer lead an army of the dead across the battlefield, while flinging life draining magic around 😂 I think angel could be interesting too. I'm fairly certain I could pull off playing either evil (yes, the mustache twirling, cackling laughter evil) or the mr. nice guy, self sacrificing goody two shoes. The one thing I don't trust myself to stick to is "pure" 'lawful'. Too contrarian to my real life self to be able to roleplay I think. Even as a dare. No, I would never have thought of sorcerer domains or cleric domains of my own (much less a dirge bard). Hence why I appreciate the advice very much 👍
  12. Maybe they decided to come out of retirement? 🤔
  13. Dammit Ember, what kind of head games did you play with my future girlfriend?!? 😝 Finished the game. Some of the "set pieces" were truly horrible. Especially one where two of those Tsunami loving demons were hiding around the corner, so getting washed away, landing flat on your back was almost (not completely) unavoidable. Nothing 15 reloads couldn't fix.. In my next game, I think I would like to play a spell caster. Always fancied a necromancer. Not sure if that goes well with Lich or if I should try something all nice and good and angelic instead. Maybe turn all demon so I can hook up with some nice demon girls... That's a decision for next week (because work is a pain in the rear and working late hours this week)
  14. It is indeed... speaking of which, I seem to remember they released another set of songs besides the old boxed set I bought some years ago (2 cd's plus a tentacle stocking to hang over my fireplace for when Chtulhu brings gifts)
  15. It's a full hour, but I thought it worth watching (life in the Ukrainian "Foreign Legion")... some surprising feedback on different countries fighting forces at times
  16. This guy sums up my thoughts on the new Indy trailer pretty well...
  17. I suspect Owlcat suffers a bit the same as Obsidian when it comes to backers. Having to add stuff they committed to adding rather for commercial reasons (pledges) rather than making sense to adding. Not sure what my issue with POE is, but something about it just feels "sterile". The lore and setting didn't appeal to me. The writing and companions feels like... an AI wrote them? Technically smooth but with no soul? Anyway, now rummaging through Threshold. Killing lots of demons. Then killing more demons. Finally killing a lot of demons. Also, met my old flame Nocticula at the entrance. Sadly only offering a profane gift (which I accepted) and not a night out
  18. Sorry... I do a brief check (the user list at the bottom of the forums has a feature showing what currently logged in users are currently doing), but there is a slight delay between checking and actually getting around to locking it. Third time that happened in as many years 😖 About to go to a place called Threshold in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. I suspect the end is near...
  19. Welcome to the world of software development... 🥴
  20. Mostly about recent (last three decades) Australian political shenanigans, but the principles may apply to other countries too (and @BruceVC likes JuiceMedia)
  21. To be fair, that was how my post could be understood, because I accidentally left out the first part of the quoted post 😂 But reading your reply, I figured it would do nicely for both purposes 👍
  22. @Azdeus How about Dead Sea trips? Better yet, Turkey. I had a friend who had rather severe psoriasis. Not quite "The Elephant Man" bad (80% of his body, all of his face and limbs), but enough to negatively impact his self esteem and the lowered "quality of life" as a result. He did have quite a bit of success with the "Doctor Fish" in Turkey (aka Red Garra fish). They nibble off all the dead skin cells leaving pink, smooth and way healthier looking skin after they're done.
  23. I think that was meant to be 1966... 😁 It's a running joke that England comes up with all the sports and the proceeds to suck at them 😝
