Nah, I haven't tried Emu. I have tried Ostrich though. Snake, Crocodile, Kangaroo and Shark. But no, not Emu. Maybe it's time for The Great Emu war II ?

An Ostrich??? There are really only two large birds down here that I'm aware of (Emus and Cassowaries, the former is sort of goofy and wants to be fed, the latter will kill you on sight) My airbrush and compressor arrived about an hour ago. Waiting for the workday to finish so I can get to the "unboxing" part. Then start assembling and priming some old obsolete plastic space marines (1995 is says on the sprue) so i can use those as disposable practise targets

Indeed. Being an old biology major in high school (edit: not the same as a university/college major, but in Denmark you had to pick a focus for your 3 years, physics, chemistry, biology, languages etc.), genetics was my focus area. Lots of literature and studies done in the almost 35-40 years since then. Some research paper from nih.gov put the genetic influence at some weird numbers like 29-35% (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4286882/) but that is again a thing you can't simplify with a single number, because genes are disproportionally affecting different psychological traits. The genes that controls choler is not necessary the same as the genes that controls bad taste in music Just me rambling on, because nature vs. nurture triggered some long repressed memories of late night assignments *cough*

From local news in the fight between the people and the corporations... https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2022/nov/23/police-investigating-suspicious-fire-at-home-of-friendlyjordies Famous (in Australia) critic of NSW right wing politicians (and Scott Morrison) as well as of too powerful corporations was the target of an attempted assassination....

I haven't watched any games, but the Iranian players and spectators used the opportunity for some "anti government" behavior. But that is probably more for the politics thread (all the women wearing no headscarves, the players visibly refusing to sing the national anthem, signs and placards showing support for the demonstrations at home etc.) Edit: The Danish journalist getting threatened by Qatari security is old news, but people wearing rainbow hats and scarves are being threatened at the entrance to the stadiums, Qatar backing down from previous promises of a tolerant and inclusive WC (making it a PR disaster, which bean in earnest when they suddenly changed their mind on allowing beer in the stadiums). In short, the Qatari government lying through its teeth and showing itself from its worst side, justifying the criticism of FIFA for allowing Qatar to buy the WC. At least Russia hadn't invaded Crimea yet when they were handed them the previous WC.

On that special sale, forty something us dollars plus thirty if you want it printed on official paper (which I chose). Also a monthly eight dollar donation to a tree planting initiative. I didn't want them to frame it though, as i prefer to do that myself once I get the paper work. Normally it's a few hundred dollars for the land plot.

I blame auto correct on my phone. Scratch that, I generally hate posting from my phone, as I have a hard time correcting spelling errors and outright missing words and sentences when I can't read the thing in one go on a screen It should also have said 'Too uninteresting and too many *fights*'

Just 5 square feet And yes, you get the gps coordinates for your tiny little plot of (Scot)land… you can’t pick your plot as they are sold sequentially from as chunks of the original land they are split off from

I sort of liked Dead Space. Enough to almost finish it Towards the end and the last boss engagements, I did use chests though. Fights too repetitive. Too uninteresting and too many. What kept me going was the atmosphere. Very well made

I decided to splurge a bit on those Black Friday sales... bought myself a plot of land in Scotland and I'm now officially Lord <real name> (no, not Lord Gorth!) Also pledged a bit of money to their tree planting efforts

That's worse than the English and their Blood Sausage

Ah, screw this. Iz it is... Maybe I'll play the treasure islands dlc as a "stand alone" at some point. I did have one more mission, but it seems to be a "dud" Being notoriously bad at names (the story of my life), I can't remember the quest name, but it's an officer that seems to have deserted to follow Sarkorian history leads. Problem is just, there is no trail to pick up... Off to the next hot spot then.

Except "Gas" is called "Benzin" in Europe. Whenever Americans talk about "Gas", A Europeans first thought is LPG in bottles Edit: And down here, "Gas" is called "Petrol". Not that people really fill up their cards with Petroleum (being used as a paint stripper or a foul smelling lamp/torch fuel instead)
