  1. The patch doesn't really fix any quests, just a few odd hardware compatibility issues (if the feed back is anything to go by, it introduces more trouble than the patch is worth). Only patch I bother with is the media patch which gives you better quality music and higher resolution movies.
  2. Angry Alien Productions AKA: The 30-Second Bunnies Theatre Library My favoury movie summary site. Many classics replayed in 30 seconds, starring bunnies Edit: One I remember from top of my head... Alice in Wonderland - a young girl kills the first woman she meets and then teams up with three complete stangers to kill again.
  3. Maybe a religious schism? Welcome to The Reformed Church of Fallout I think I fall in that category. I love the originals dearly, but I don't think it is impossible to catch that undefinable magic feeling in a new game. Fallout 3 just didn't look like it was doing it.
  4. "Support beams in the mines are now destructible." Hah! knew it! I still wonder if it was ever intended to be possible to drown all the Wanamingos (sp?) by sabotaging the water pump? Off to download (1.2 seems to be the latest released version), thanks
  5. Post traumatic stress disorder in the Forgotten Realms
  6. Generalising much? As for Van Buren, it would indeed have been interesting to see how well Black Isle would have been able to translate the design docs into an actual game. Sometimes original design and released product ends up worlds apart. Right now I could use a Fallout in the spirit of the originals. I haven't heard anything that convinces me that Fallout 3 is it so far. I think I'll give FO1&2 a go again when I am finished with Icewind Dale

I don't know what it is about game designers and endings... Ye gods of my ancestors! Like the two previous volumes, It is just full of awesome. That is. until the last third of this book. Then the story completely disintegrates in a mix of cop outs and deus ex machina in equal measures
  8. That's Danish beer. Mkreku is doomed to drink Swedish beer
  9. Start of old thread End of old thread Preparing to get out of crunch mode. A few good nights sleep should do wonders for my sanity
  10. End of this particular time line ... Alternative time line here
  11. I gave him 200 credits to assure he would keep it secret. Can't you bribe the little "Squeeky" guy with the big ears (outside the Pazaak Den) to put in a few good/bad words for you with the Exchange? I've never tried it, but I seem to remember the conversation option.
  12. Still going strong(Ok, rather slow actually, but who cares?) in my Icewind Dale campaign. Cleared out Burial Isle and gave those Virgins something to really Wail about. I'll never make friends with The Drowned Ones though. Whoever came up with them belong in the same pit of The Abyss that is set aside for Hook Horror designers
  13. Maybe you finally got to play the evil witch?... Going up against the mighty Seven Dwarfs and their henchmen. Boss fights before facing the cabal of Dwarfs include duels with Prince Charming and Snow White. Use brute force, trickery, poisoned apples, whatever gets the job done.
  14. This stuff should to be published in a semi universal (male version) "Forumites Guide to The Galaxy" >_
  15. Until further notice, there can not be too many S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games. Good news
  16. I think BNP is GDP/GDI for our English speaking friends Hey Walsingham, you taking notes for your next visit? Still going through crunch time at work. Should be back to a regular schedule (and more than 4 hours sleep a night) after the weekend
  17. 9th level Yes!... off to Lonelywood
  18. Still playing a bit of Icewind Dale every now and then. Just finished Dragons Eye. Dastardly Talona deceivers departed with my desired object. Doom and damnation to be destributed to the slithering enemy. Btw, what is the minimum level requirement to "enter" the Heart of Winter expansion? I thought it was 8, but it seems to be more. It really is a long time ago since I last played it
  19. The EE version was the *reason* I bought the game. This fan doesn't mind being pampered a bit every now and then

That was hilarious. Americas greatest fear...
  21. That ought to be an animators dream... coming up with new and terrible ways to show the suffering of a melee attack to the groin
  22. Indeed! The smell they add to such gas here is so distinctive it's almost impossible to not recognize it in an instant if you've smelled it before. Is it different there? It definitely had a rather distinct smell. It's just that I use the stove so rarely When used correctly (i.e lit when used rather than hoarding gas reserves), it is effectively odourless.

Hey, what are you trying to do? Drive the news media out of business? We can't have rational thought and reason here, way less profitable than drama and panic
  24. Finally figured out what it was that gave my home a bad smell... It started a couple of days ago, spreading from down stairs to upstairs and getting stronger every day. It wasn't the smell of dead animal (which I first feared), completely wrong for that. Neither was it the smell of dead (alive?) cheese forgotten somewhere. Turned out that I must accidentally have turned one of the "knobs" on my gas stove when dropping off my shopping bags on the table. Switched off the gas and opened all the windows and doors for a few hours. Who knows, the nagging pain in my head may not have been work related stress after all. Probably a good thing that I am not a smoker
