Hmm... I've heard about the Dresden Files before. Maybe they deserve a closer look. Currently reading Robert Earl: "The Adventures of Florin and Lorenzo". As usual with the supporting literature of a game world (Warhammer), there is a lot of trash and then some real gems among them. This is one such story that could have taken place in a real or fantasy medieval world setting and still be a good story. Good action, interesting characters (main and side) and some really dark humour (dead pan?) delivered in places. The book I am looking most forward to at the moment is Alan Campbells "God of Clocks". I love his Deepgate Codex series so far. I can't recommend this series enough. Not bad for a game designer turned writer.
  4. I've only completed it twice, but I could have sworn that BG1 was very "wordy", not to mention more easter eggs and real world references than even FO2.
  5. Isn't it the "strategic" one that is very similar (identical) to the NWN1 one, if you set it to point at your active character and change the sensitivity/movement speed of the camera?
  6. Thread pruned. Lets leave out the instructions on how to "remove" various copy protections. Now off to write some PM's...

Has anybody investigated why they are shrinking? Coloradians (what do you guys call yourselves?) not making enough babies? Inbreeding/lower IQ's? More people leaving the state than entering? Engineering has become "unfashionable"?
  8. Did you create a new "character"? If so, see if your old character isn't there still by switching to that one. Saves are associated with your character name

  10. I am not sure that the Academy Awards really has the same prestige as it might have had once. Maybe it is still well regarded amongst the peers in the industry?
  11. Thread pruned slightly. It looks better without some of the pointless flamebait
  12. I don't know, now I might actually grab Spore and Mass Effect some day, at the very least when they hit the bargain bin
  13. Wow, somebody put points in their Science Skill allright! Actually, it reminds me more of WH40K's "Servitors". A way of putting irredeemable criminals to good use for society.
  14. Marketing Never underestimate the power of adding tonnes of meaningless "accolades" to your ads. Gorthman 3D (2009) GotY 2009 - Nervous Gamers Therapy GRoup Top Pick - Adventurous Investors Online Most promising Game 2009 - freecell-addicts.com Most promising non-working game engine 2009 - Pwned! Magazine Etc... People don't really read that stuff, but you know if you can't dazzle people with brilliance you can dazzle them with BS
  15. Good luck

Whoopi Goldberg, Baron von Munchausen and Alexander the Great sure didn't fool it. Nor did the current US president Now, if they could extend it to narrow down the location of missing keys, socks etc...
  17. And here I thought it was about getting older and older and looking back at the missed bus stops in life. The bus never turns back. It's all in the interpretation
  18. The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Season 1. It was an "impulse buy" and I quite enjoyed it. Acutally, I enjoyed very much. Now I just have to see if the stores will put season 2 on the shelf some day for me to buy >_
  19. Since new questions about crates has arisen.
  20. http://forums.obsidian.net/index.php?showt...crates&st=0 Crates, and everyone's role involving said crates, discussed at length. Indeed Lets resurrect the old thread instead. Lots of answers I sense in that one. Powerful it is in its information. Feel it you can
  21. 'wanted' Sort of a b-movie without the charm of b-movies. If it wasn't for Angelina Jolie, I wouldn't bother to watch it a few more times
  22. In this test, it was a significantly larger number (check out the male, non-CRH's) http://brain.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/conten.../129/2/386/TBL1
  23. Wow, Tango of Doom Anyway, I am crushed. My poor brute needs some rest. Revenge will have to come another day. I think I need to keep a record of my grudges
