What are you Playing Now? - Games don't make you violent, lag does
Gorth replied to Wormerine's topic in Computer and Console
Made a bit more progress in Mass Effect (the legendary edition version). Currently exploring The Citadel (The Presidium and The Ward areas). In many ways this just feels like a better "game", because it feels less claustrophobic (not sure how to explain the feeling otherwise). More perceived freedom and openness, the only blocker being having to go see the council before other areas become accessible and then off to explore... and backtrack and retrack and backtrack again etc., as the missions and assignments keep piling up -
Ooh… a Bohemian Rhapsody fan

Meh, I'm more likely to buy a motorcycle again than a car. Too many wheels and too much space required to get around

Translation: Trump absolutely adored autocratic rulers (Kim, Modi, MbS, Putin etc.) and was much easier to get to dance to the Saudi tune. A country which hates the US and support their enemies like AQ materially and financially, even if the money is not in the official books (because having the support of US against Iran is always a nice bonus, especially if the support is free, bar a few scratches behind Trumps ear and a few encouraging words, not followed by action). If the new puppet doesn't want to dance properly, time to put on the spiked gloves and hurt the world economy until a new and more pliable leader is elected, because that's what democracies do, picking the paths of least resistance (no absolutes without exceptions of course).

I caved in at some point and bout that new edition with the repackaged ME 1-3 (legendary edition?). I'm only partway through ME 1, but based on past memory, ME 1 has the combat, ME 2 the npcs and ME 3 the... something? Epicness I guess? The space combat was nice looking and the final assault actually felt a little bit epic too. Also some nice choices between some of NPC's (bye bye Tali). Sadly you didn't get to put Kai Leng through enough pain. ME 3 needed a DLC where you can just torture the guy on various brutal implements, trying to max out the pain-o-meter on him. He was, together with the ending, the main things that detracted from the game for me (story was very uneven quality wise, but it did have good bits too along the way). Edit: And I really missed the original Mordin in ME3

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-65146557 Irony much? I'm sure the UN security council will now get this special military operation in Ukraine sorted out in no time, to everybody's satisfaction... or not.

That link doesn't really lead anywhere for me... Either it really doesn't lead anywhere or I'm clicking it wrong

I do subscribe to more than a dozen channels (just about, close to a dozen), only one of which is politics related TheJuiceMedia (that's the "Honest Government Ads" people) because I like the people, I like their message, I"m a patreon supporter and sometimes I even share their videos here on this forum AKIHITO YO****OMI because watching that guy creating art in almost real time in front of my eyes is just fascinating A number of hobby related channels (miniature wargaming and painting, with a focus on Horus Heresy and Kill Team) Outer Circle, Rift Forge Studio, Black Briar Gaming, Cult of Paint, The Cult of Crafting, Grimdark Gamers And some history related channels: Drachinifel (my second favourite channel after Juicemedia), HistoryMarche, Kings and Generals, Invicta, History Matters (awesome series of 3 minute videos explaining things you didn't know you didn't know) Besides that, using the search bar to check for things that just springs to mind.... Edit: Not going to list things like Microsoft Partner Source, MCP and similar as that will only be available to a minority of people with a very narrow focus for what they are looking for. Not a Youtube subscription as much as collections of Youtube links organized by topic on other sites

I get an eclectic mix of Youtube suggestion... "More than a married couple, but not quite lovers" videos, Sky News (Murdochs far right propaganda channel) telling Australians why Labour, Biden, equality, alternative energy and human rights sucks, various incel channels who wants to tell me why women sucks and channels focusing on various myers-briggs type quirks (I'm an INTP in case anyone ever wondered) Makes me really, really curious how those algorithms works based on your search and viewing history Edit: Which sadly leaves me with the constant task of actively searching for various history channels and new Rammstein videos.

Unlike The Winter War, Finland is more likely to get more than just German help this time, if something censored hits the fan.

So bad it's probably good? Edit: I *am* a fan of the old Peter Jackson movies Edit2: For some reason, it goes by a different name on IMDB (Killbots), maybe to avoid confusion with Murderbot Diaries (a book series based on a similar concept)? https://www.imdb.com/title/tt26457986/ Edit3: Seems like the original title was murderbots, then the working title became killbots, now the most likely release candidate is murderbots. Confused yet?

Said minister of course got fired immediately, can't have anyone bringing to your attention that the soldiers on the ground is getting very wary of the government and the unhappiness is spreading in the IDF... But it's not just the IDF that is a source of concern at the moment https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-65097625 "Now with a nation in crisis, all sides watched for the prime minister to act. When he finally appeared on national TV - maximising the impact with a live address at the top of the 20:00 nightly news shows - he began by likening his position to a story about King Solomon. Just as the biblical monarch had to judge which of two competing women was the real loving mother of a baby, he had made his own decision when it came to the two sides contesting his reforms. He announced he was pausing the judicial changes until the next session of parliament, and would "extend my hand" in "compromise" and "dialogue" with parliamentary opponents." Translating from BS to English: "lets save it for a few months and hope the **** storm blows over enough to give myself legal immunity against the corruption charges."

Putin has two cards up his sleeve, which he hasn't played yet. Large stock piles of chemical and nuclear weapons. The moment any war moves on to the Russian side of the border, I do not doubt he'll use them at this point. If the last 12 months showed anything, it's that he doesn't care about casualties, regardless of nationality.
