Windows 7 administrator rights question
I've switched mine off and leave it to my Kaspersky application control to keep the running software in a leash. Quite revealing what some programs try to do every now and then, from writing hidden registry keys to trying to "phone home". I just don't trust programmers

What you did today
Start of old thread End of old thread Don't they have some kind of legal aid for the financially challenged or some such in NZ? I once had a scuffle with Samsung and asked JustAnswer for advice. Got to talk with a lawyer whose specialty was Aussie law on the subject and got the info needed on how to tackle it. They asked for a donation up front (typically $30 at the time) and then you could pay what you could afford/felt it was worth after receiving help. The latter being optional.

Mass effect 2 and Dying True Rpgs
Dude just look for a saved game online. I have, yet again, they suck. There's a close one that's good, can't remember what I disliked about it. Edit: On second check, there's only one thing wrong with it. The Bhatia body quest. I guess I can live with that. Isn't there a save game editor around where you can tweak most things in the previous game?

Mass effect 2 and Dying True Rpgs
Maybe, some day, they'll release the entire collection of DLC's as a discounted "box set". Same thing for Dragon Age. I'll probably skip ME3 and DA2 and wait until they come as some packaged deal in the bargain bin. Might be a few years, but whats the hurry?

I like the name of the website

Ironman: Icewind Dale II
Couldn't have said it better That once was fun though. Well, back to Icewind Dale II, I seem to remember really enjoying the game when you get to the Underdark part (the Ice Palace was like the fade, fun once). I felt genuinely sad when my pet golem couldn't follow me to the surface. I was the one who gave it life dammit

Oppenheimer: "I'm on a BOAT, mother ******"
Portable nuclear reactors have to start somewhere. Maybe one will fit in my garage some day One of our clients builds container sized desalination plants. Easy to transport and you can add as many as needed. Maybe that is the future of power plants?

Afghanistan,
Drop depth charges on the taliban? Probably not what you meant, even if they are the lowest of the low.

What are you playing now
Thoughts? Impressions? I uninstalled it yesterday, didn't finish. Extremely bland characters, boring story. Lame puzzles (except for one where I had to blow up a rat with dynamite to open a door). Obviously, you need a rat with dynamite stuffing to open doors... maybe I should give it a pass

Dragon Age 2
He sure said a lot about people and their determined place in society and mages in particular, i.e. leashed and caged, but did he ever say anything about "women" in general? Besides them not being warriors (I can't remember the laundry list of "womanly professions" he listed)? There was a group of qunari rebels (Tal-Vashoth),they might have a more pragmatic attitude towards various individuals placing in society, Qunless bastards that they are.

Mass effect 2 and Dying True Rpgs
Nope. Same here... saw it from parsecs away. I was cringing and whinging and hoping that it was just bad omens, but oh no, I was forced to be a jedi It was a fun enough game, but I never forgave it for force converting my Han Solo like rogue into a stupid jedi. That was a mental scar that never really healed

Movies you have seen recently
Thread pruned a bit. Lets try without the insults, implied or otherwise. On a completely unrelated and on-topic note, I watched 'Waterworld'. Call me weird, but I like that movie and never understood all the bad press it seemed to have gotten.

What are you playing now
Start of old thread End of old thread Currently playing Grotesque Tactics: Evil Heroes. Monty Python meets Kings Bounty? Better than I had expected though. Still in the early stages, getting tutelage from his semidivine self, the holy avatar. Both in how to kill ferocious mushrooms and how to impress the girls

Amnesia: The Dark Descent
Ach, only just bought the Penumbra collection today (part of Gamersgate's weekend sale). I should probably play those first

Mass effect 2 and Dying True Rpgs
Fixed >_ Never got into ME1, found it yawn inducing. Was the PC version better than the xbox360 version? I kind of liked ME2, especially some of the locales (Omega station) and some of the NPC's were interesting enough, the justicar and the mad scientist being my favourites. The combat was horrible though and thank you for reminding me of the planet scanning

Dragon Age 2
This is why I do not buy DLC. **** DLC. **** the entire concept. Put what you want to be in the game into the game at release. If you have more ideas for that game later on, make a sequel. That won't make such a nice and tidy profit though. The entire idea is to get people to pay a lot more for the game, just distributing the expense for the customer over time. MMO Lite if you want

Fallout: New Vegas
No disrespect intended for our Beth colleagues, but I wouldn't take his word as legal advice. How did you arrive at that conclusion anyway? It can't have been the "Images removed at the request of Dark Horse comics" part, nor the part where one mod hints at he is not going to bother chasing other forums. Show me a written permit from Dark Horse comics and we are all good, otherwise our own, rather hard to misinterpret forum guidelines apply.
